    I received a check for a class action suit against Shellpoint Mortgage as well as a 1099-Misc. where this income was reported to the **** I deposited the check believing it was legit and in turn used the money for other things such as bills, gas, food, etc. Yesterday I received an alert from my bank stating the payment on the check was stopped. When trying to contact this company it states they are only remote and that I should go to their website to request a check be reissued. Why would I need to have them reissue a check when they will more than likely stop payment on that one as well? I have requested a reissue, but I do not look to receive anything. This has caused me both aggravation and anxiety because now I am short on funds to pay my bills and living expenses. I do not understand how doing something like this to people would benefit anyone. Apparently, this is something this company has been accused of doing for many years. What can be done to make this right and repay me for issues I have had to deal with?

    I received a check from a civil lawsuit on January 2,2023 dated 12/23/2022. My wife deposited the check on January 3, 2023. Everything seemed fine with the check. On January 9,2023 the ILYM Group issued a stop payment on the check and it reversed out of my account. This has caused a lot of unnecessary stress on me and my family along with the financial hardship it has put on us as well. After reading the reviews on here I think its time for someone to step up and deal with this dishonest company that doesnt even have a working phone number where you can speak to someone. The number says they are working remotely due to the coronavirus. Well part of remote working would be answering phones I would think. I was able to put money from my savings into my account to cover but not everyone can do this. A lot of people will be dependent on this money and it seems the company is taking advantage of those in most need by holding money that is not theirs to begin with. I too received a **** for this money that now I will have to claim as income when I didnt receive it. That seems like a tax issue to me that the *** needs to investigate as well.

    I received settlement from ilym group i deposited in my account on January 3rd and on January 6th my bank notices me that the deposit was reversed and im now over **** dollars over drawn ive emailed and called ilym group several times nobody responds or answers phone. I need my bank account fixed and over draft fees paid.

    Received a check for a settlement from our mortgage company for $1,772.52. Check was deposited and funds bounced. Seems to be a common issue with this company that they issue checks and they dont have the funds. I now have a *********************************************************************************** addition, the bounced funds created financial issues for my family. We used the available funds to pay extra on bills, when funds were returned, it left nothing extra for daily expenses such as groceries.
