I bought the ** cameras. I have 4 of them. Ive had them for several years. Lately when I try to use them they put ads all over so you cant see your cameras. Ive tried to call several times and no one ever picks up the phone. They keep tr**ng to sell me a subscription which was not the arrangement when I bought them. Because these are security cameras its very dangerous not to be able to access them quickly. Ive read reviews from other people and they say they have become totally useless. I bought these cameras with no subscription necessary. Now you cant see your cameras without it. Please advise Thank you *****Initial Complaint

I have had ** cameras for over 10 years and all of a sudden they have ads on them to the point that I cannot access my cameras. This cannot be legal to all of a sudden my cameras not work and take upwards of a minute to access a live feed. When I wrote to the company to ask what they were doing and why they have overtaken my cameras they told me if I wanted to get rid of the ads I needed to pay for their service. I purchased many of these Yitech indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras and I did not subscribe to their service. I used my own SD cards. Now they have made it so that whenever you try to look at the app to see what movement has happened the screen is covered ****** things theyre trying to sell you all sorts of things. It takes many many attempts to actually look at what the camera is seeing orwhat it has seen. This is an egregious violation. If theyre truly was a emergency either a theft or a baby in distress or danger it would take a very long time to ever be able to see it. To call this a surveillance camera is a hoax. The standard ** cameras have so much ads that you cant actually see your camera and what its recording. I get a notice to see and I cant get in to the camera unless I go through 4 or more ads!!! The reason I got ** cameras was to monitor my home. In the actual time I have to go through all the ads a robber could empty out my home!! Your cameras used to be good. Now they are worthless trash. Think Ill be looking for a complete new set up that actually gives me service rather than a ton of advertisement's.Initial Complaint

I canceled my subscription for their cloud service and because they can't find my information they are still trying to take the payment from my account which has now resulted in my account being blocked and a late charge added I have contacted **** vision and all they are doing is giving me a runaround I just want everything canceled and them to stop trying to take money for something that was canceled almost 3 weeks agoInitial Complaint

Honestly, the ads have made the app and all of my cameras useless! I researched a lot of cameras and purchased these because I liked the value and the fact that I could manage my own videos on SD cards. I have to click through ad after ad after ad before I can get to the cameras at my home now! I cant imagine how Id feel if there were an actual emergency at my house and I need to access a camera but it takes forever to click tiny boxes throughout the ads (including the new AI ad you send EVERY TIME I VIEW MY CAMERA)! Please fix this without forcing me into a subscription just to get the app back to where it was when I purchased the cameras. Now, if I try to watch any recorded video, even the 5 second clips, I have to pay a subscription since all of my SD cards have mysteriously stopped working. Quite the coincidence that all of my SD cards corrupted around the same time that ******* starts forcing you to pay to watch anything on the camera. These cameras are absolute garbage now. This is one of the worst instances of a bait and switch that I've seen. You lure people in with the ability to manage your own videos on SD cards and watch 5-second clips on Kami Cloud in the ad-free app. Then, you change everything to FORCE the customer into paying you monthly. ******** business practice!Initial Complaint

- I bought 5 *************** about 5 years ago, and at the moment of buying them I was promised to be able to view alerts from the camera for free, upon detection of movement. These alerts were short (about 10 seconds), but useful nevertheless.- Over time, Yi Technology has introduced its software called "Kami Cloud," which records content from its camera, uploads it to the cloud, and uses algorithms to detect objects, movement, etc.- Recently, Yi Technology moved to not allow owners to view any alerts anymore, asking for monthly subscriptions in order to view the alerts it promised for free. I included a screenshot of a statement they have made on their website about their cameras. I also uploaded a screenshot of the app denying me to watch the free alerts.- I demand the Yi Technology restores the free, short, alerts.Initial Complaint

I had a charge on my card for $39.99 and upon looking it was for ** lot for an annual fee. I immediately cancelled my subscription because you have to cancel before you can request a refund (so the customer service person said) this was June 14, 2025. I have reached out every day and they keep saying "I have reached out to my superiors to give you and additional surveillance camera worth $20 and will give you a discount on the subscription you purchased. the discounted $15 will be returned to you. I hope this plan will satisfy you." No! I am not satisfied and asked for a refund yet again and also unplugged the camera. it has been 14 days. absolutely ridiculous for a company to play these games. there is way too much competition out there. ** home camera takes your credit card for cloud hosting and once you give it to them you can never, I mean never, get the subscription canceled or remove the card. i even got a new credit card w ***** and somehow they started charging the new card without my consent. The only way to try and cancel is send them a message on their platform. Every time you do that you get the same automated reply offering free devices but no way to actually cancel. ****** should not be selling these products it is a scam. I have had half a dozen messages this year and repeated attempts in prior years to cancel. I uninstalled and threw away all the cameras it makes no difference. Do not do it!!!
