Total scam! I purchased 6 of these cameras. They were advertised as not needing a plan and have a memory slot for recordings. This is why I chose them over other better brands. On top of them being faulty now the app stated forcing ads on me when ever I open the app. If Im away from home and the camera goes off I use to be able to check quickly to see what set it off. Now theres a long delay in alerting me and on top of that I have to watch several advertisements before I can see if someone broke into my house. They are pushing for a subscription to avoid the Ads now but if I wanted to do that there are many better cameras out there than these junky ones. Its a scam and I totally regret buying them. Writing bad reviews wherever I can. I tried contacting customer support multiple times and they say its not their problem.Initial Complaint

I have had the ** home camera system for years with no problems.I currently have four cameras. I cannot access my cameras on the app. Every time I go to look, I get an ad and I can't get out of the ad. I've tried to contact ** and there is no contact information. After much frustration and googling the problem, I see that a lot of people are having the same issue with no response from the company. I keep getting a pop up that says.If I want to go add free.I have to pay for it... This is absolutely ridiculous. So i'm in the process of seeking out a new camera security system.Initial Complaint

I purchased the Menggood indoor security camera that uses the ** iot on 8/10/23 and paid the ***** for the basic subscription. I noticed that my debit card was charged ***** on 8/19/25 when I had asked customer service to cancel my subscription and delete my account. They charged my card without my permission. I did not have a card saved on file. I have submitted a cancellation request twice with a response only offering me discounts to keep my account. Theyre trying to convince me to keep my account subscription and I do not want it anymore. I dont even have the camera anymore, I shouldnt be charged. There is no customer service phone number, the only contact is through the app or email. I am extremely frustrated by this and dont know what to do. I would appreciate any help!Initial Complaint

On March 7, 2025, I canceled my annual subscription. This cancellation was done in a timely manner.?The payment was made through ******. I had two ****** accounts, and after canceling the subscription through the one associated with ** IoT, I closed that ****** account to consolidate my finances.?After the cancellation, instead of receiving a refund, ** IoT charged me again and reactivated my subscription without my permission. This unauthorized charge of $199.99 occurred shortly after I had already canceled the service.?I have spent over five months going back and forth between ** IoT, ******, and my bank, ****************, trying to resolve this issue. I have been "ping-ponged" between them, with each party telling me to contact the other.?****** initially said they couldn't help me because the account was closed.After a recent call on July 31, 2025, a representative named ****** informed me that ** IoT closed the ****** account on June 18, 2025, long after I had canceled the subscription and closed the account myself.?My bank, ****************, also stated they could not help since the payment was processed through *******?I have also been in constant communication with ** IoT directly, providing proof of the cancellation. Instead of issuing a refund, they have repeatedly attempted to get me to keep the subscription by offering me free cameras or a partial refund in exchange for a discount to continue the service. I have declined these offers as I no longer need or want their service.?I have requested to speak with a supervisor multiple times, but my requests have been ignored, and I have been unable to escalate the matter.?In one instance, I attempted to call the company but was asked for sensitive personal information like my Social Security number. I immediately ended the call out of concern for my security.The company's actions of reactivating a canceled subscription and their refusal to issue a refund are unacceptable and have caused me significant distress.Initial Complaint

I bought the ** cameras. I have 4 of them. Ive had them for several years. Lately when I try to use them they put ads all over so you cant see your cameras. Ive tried to call several times and no one ever picks up the phone. They keep tr**ng to sell me a subscription which was not the arrangement when I bought them. Because these are security cameras its very dangerous not to be able to access them quickly. Ive read reviews from other people and they say they have become totally useless. I bought these cameras with no subscription necessary. Now you cant see your cameras without it. Please advise Thank you *****Initial Complaint

I have had ** cameras for over 10 years and all of a sudden they have ads on them to the point that I cannot access my cameras. This cannot be legal to all of a sudden my cameras not work and take upwards of a minute to access a live feed. When I wrote to the company to ask what they were doing and why they have overtaken my cameras they told me if I wanted to get rid of the ads I needed to pay for their service. I purchased many of these Yitech indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras and I did not subscribe to their service. I used my own SD cards. Now they have made it so that whenever you try to look at the app to see what movement has happened the screen is covered ****** things theyre trying to sell you all sorts of things. It takes many many attempts to actually look at what the camera is seeing orwhat it has seen. This is an egregious violation. If theyre truly was a emergency either a theft or a baby in distress or danger it would take a very long time to ever be able to see it. To call this a surveillance camera is a hoax. The standard ** cameras have so much ads that you cant actually see your camera and what its recording. I get a notice to see and I cant get in to the camera unless I go through 4 or more ads!!! The reason I got ** cameras was to monitor my home. In the actual time I have to go through all the ads a robber could empty out my home!! Your cameras used to be good. Now they are worthless trash. Think Ill be looking for a complete new set up that actually gives me service rather than a ton of advertisement's.Initial Complaint

I canceled my subscription for their cloud service and because they can't find my information they are still trying to take the payment from my account which has now resulted in my account being blocked and a late charge added I have contacted **** vision and all they are doing is giving me a runaround I just want everything canceled and them to stop trying to take money for something that was canceled almost 3 weeks ago
