I had a charge on my card for $39.99 and upon looking it was for ** lot for an annual fee. I immediately cancelled my subscription because you have to cancel before you can request a refund (so the customer service person said) this was June 14, 2025. I have reached out every day and they keep saying "I have reached out to my superiors to give you and additional surveillance camera worth $20 and will give you a discount on the subscription you purchased. the discounted $15 will be returned to you. I hope this plan will satisfy you." No! I am not satisfied and asked for a refund yet again and also unplugged the camera. it has been 14 days. absolutely ridiculous for a company to play these games. there is way too much competition out there. Terrible customer service and not to mention the service is spotty.Initial Complaint

** home camera takes your credit card for cloud hosting and once you give it to them you can never, I mean never, get the subscription canceled or remove the card. i even got a new credit card w ***** and somehow they started charging the new card without my consent. The only way to try and cancel is send them a message on their platform. Every time you do that you get the same automated reply offering free devices but no way to actually cancel. ****** should not be selling these products it is a scam. I have had half a dozen messages this year and repeated attempts in prior years to cancel. I uninstalled and threw away all the cameras it makes no difference. Do not do it!!!Initial Complaint

I purchased many ** home cameras in the past. I use my own SD card. They have always been great about informing me of motion detected around my home. In addition I use to check my pets. Now the company has changed the terms and require a subscription to use otherwise you have a whole bunch of advertisements to watch before you can view. And the cameras are now getting faulty which appears to coincide with my lack of subscription. I want my money back. All of it. False advertisement. They can have their cameras back.Initial Complaint

I paid for a full year subscription last fall. The app currently does not recognize my paid subscription. I have tried multiple emails to them no response. There is no working phone number for them. I have just seen a charge of ****** $ on my credit card done yesterday, May 25, 2025, by ** IoT, a *************** to which I pay annual subscription for Cloud storage of the records from my 5 security cameras. The annual payment is due in August, and the price is good, just slightly more than 100 dollars per year (I am subscribed since 2023). However, when I started to investigate about this new charge, it turned out that they subscribed me for their "Artificial Intelligence Alerts", I have seen their ads about the *** popping every time I open their app on my phone, but I am not interested, so I did not inquire about their offer, and certainly I did not subscribe, I was not given a price, just out of the blue, they used the information about my ******* Master Card in their files, and charged me ****** without my permission. This is outrageous and idiotic, they charged my card, for a new service, not a recurring renewal, without my permission, and without any attempt on my side to subscribe. I complained directly to them and I hope to get reimbursed, but it is not so much about the ****** refund, I would like to warn other customers to check carefully their accounts with ** IoT, I am afraid that I am not the only customer whose credit card they charged without permission. Also, by filing this record of my bad experience with them, I hope they will stop their illegal predatory practices.Initial Complaint

I have been buying (using) ** home security cameras since 2020. Over the years, I have purchased over 30 ** home security cameras of various models from ******. I really love ** features - its always on, it tilts, and free recording and viewing. And, that is why, I have purchased so many over the years. However, **, the quality of ** cameras SUCK!! None of the cameras have lasted more than a year.. thus, I have purchased so many replacements. Today, I am finally fed up with **!! Another one stopped working! Here are some of the reasons they break: The camera head stopped responding to turning command; Just simply dead; The lens became to fuzzy and blurry I can no longer see anything on the camera. Now, as I said, I have paid anywhere between $25-$40 for each camera. ** owes me at least $350 for these extremely low quality cameras. ****** has stopped selling nearly all models of ** home security camera because too many returns!!Initial Complaint

I had a ** app and account for many years. I just had to update the app and when I did i lost everything. I have a subscription but all that information was on the app which is empty. It just wants me to create a new one. Well I'm paying for the cloud subscription and they keep forcing ads on a ai update I'm already paying for cameras I can't use unless I push out the ads customer service doesn't care about any of my complaints or others on the review board on ****** reviews. Please help not just me but all others effected by this matter please.
