      This company has for many years shown a lack of accountability for services paid for. They require a monthly payment of ****** for weekly pickup of my 2 yard dumpster. They pick and choose when they want to empty my bin. They do not provide my weekly pickup as that is what I pay for. When I call no one knows why. They are basically taking our money and not providing the service they promised. This is a breach of contract. I would like a total investigation into the money that is pouring into this company and breaking their commitment for service do. If they cannot handle the workload they need to be released of county or city pickup. I have a call into a manager and am stilll waiting for call back. They hey seem to be on a schedule for carts but not dumpsters. I am frustrated that I spend so much time on hold to be told everytime they are delayed. I want the service that I pay for every week. This company fails to properly pick up according to California state laws. I still have to manage to pay for services that do not exist or they will cancel for non payment. As a customer we are so frustrated of *********************** having a hold on us. We need the BBB to take this matter and hold this company accountable for their lack of action.

      Price gouging. Increase with no notice from $138/month to $299/month. They have a monopoly on trash service in *******. This is unethical.

      On multiple occasions CR&R has forgotten to pick up one of my bins. On the most recent instance, September 20th, they forgot to pick up my recycling. This having happened before I immediately called them to ask them to do their jobs; I called them Monday the 23rd, Tuesday the 24th, and Wednesday the 25th, and each time they told me they would send a driver to pick up the trash they should have picked up in the first place. Each time the trash was not picked up, and just today they told me for sure it would be picked up once again. I know at this point they won't pick it up until the next service date, but since they didn't do their job when they were supposed to and also didn't each time I called, I am filing this complaint to request a credit for a service they failed to provide.

      This customer contacted CR&R on multiple occasions to have their missed recycle cart emptied as a result of no service rendered on Friday 9/20/24. CR&R **************** scheduled return service orders on Monday 9/23, Tuesday 9/24, and Wednesday 9/25. However, the customer called back today, Thursday 9/26/24, to report the service has still not been completed. CR&R has filed a formal complaint on the customer's behalf and issued a credit for one week of no service on their recycle cart. The ********************* will monitor this account closely for any issues. CR&R thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      This company provided trash pick up service to me. I pay a quarterly amount for weekly service. In the July-September quarter they only picked up trash in July. They did not service my address on August 1,8,15 or 22. I called and canceled the service on the 22nd of August. CR&R picked up their cans on the 27th of August. I had previously made the quarterly payment and it was debited from my account. Since the date of cancellation I have made 6 calls requesting a refund of my unused portion of the fee, the remaining amount should be $107.58. Today I was told they would refund only the amount of *****. This is unacceptable. The customer service representative refused to forward my call to management. He said operations would call me.

      CR&R has been charging me for an extra trash can for 10 years that I just found out about when I called about a bill increase. I thought the line item charge was for my recycle bin when in fact it was for an extra trash can that I never requested or had. I have called them a dozen times over the past 5 weeks and even asking to speak to two different managers. They have not given me any resolution nor have confirmed if the charge will be removed on my next bill. They keep saying we are waiting for a response and that they should know this week and then no response or call back. They admitted this happened at the time they took over servicing my area so there may have been a mix up. I am seeking to be reimbursed the full amount I have been unjust and unknowingly charged which totals several thousand dollars. It is not clear how this charge is labeled in the bill and wonder how many other customers are being taken advantage.

      The customer contacted CR&R stating they were being charged for an additional trash cart they did not have, and requested to be credited for years of paying for this cart in error. Upon review of the customer's most recent statement, there is a clear indication of the customer's charges. The first line item says "95G TRASH/RECY/ORGNCS" which reflects the standard cart set, and the second line item  "95G ADDTL RESI TRASH" which reflects the additional trash cart. The customer is responsible for reviewing all charges for accuracy prior to making payments. Upon further review, CR&R is honoring a retro-credit from 2019 to present of $426.45. This will be reflected on the customer's account once the adjustment has been processed. CR&R thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      In accordance to BBB policy, CR&R is responding to this complaint:

      This customer notified CR&R of a recurring additional cart charge since CR&R began billing effective 12/1/2022. This information was received from the previous waste hauler during the transition to CR&R as the new waste hauler at that time. Upon review, it has been determined this customer does not have an additional cart and a credit adjustment was issued for all charges associated with this service. The total credit issued was $211.43 and this will be reflected on the customer's next statement. CR&R thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      I hired ****** and paid them $901.03 to deliver a trash bin to my house on 7/26/24 because I had a construction demo the following day (Saturday). They did not show up, nor did they call to communicate. I left a voicemail, which was never acknowledged or returned. I called them the following Monday to resolve the issue at which time they informed me that their dispatch team left notes that they were going to deliver on Tuesday, which was never communicated with me and also not acceptable. After I chastised them for their negligence and poor communication, they agreed to deliver that night, which was still three days tardy. After which I told them that I demanded a partial refund because I had to pay my construction team to move the garbage several times because of their failures. They offered to refund the delivery fee (of $86), which I immediately rejected because that did not cover my losses for their incompetence (not to mention the stress they caused me personally). I have since called them 10 times in an attempt to resolve this dispute and have made no meaningful progress. Add in the fact that they were also two days late to pick up the bin, again without acknowledgement or communication.

      The customer ordered a temporary bin for ******************************************* that was delayed for delivery due to unforeseen Operational challenges. The customer spoke with one of our **************** supervisors and advised him that he incurred monetary losses as a result of the delayed delivery. After investigation and research, the Operations GM approved a credit for this customer in the amount of $300.00 to help offset the monetary loss. The customer was advised of this credit and was satisfied with the resolution. No further action or compensation will be required on this matter and it is now closed.

      i was billed on 7/01/24 for ***** for an extra trash can i never order an extra trash can. ive have been calling CR&R for 2 weeks and every agent tells me a different story, they claimed that i ordered a extra trash can when i opened the service in june of 2024. All of their calls are monitored so i asked them when did i order a extra trash can they said i dont know **** i proceeded to ask when was the extra cam dropped off they said i dont know ive been told they they will send a supervisor out to check if i have the extra can. *** been calling repeatedly for almost 2 weeks and no updates just run around stories. i called today july 26 2024 and told the agent what i was told by previous agents and his words were we dont send supervisors out we just check the cameras on the trash trucks so i told him then why was i lied to by other agents and why is it taking so long to be resolved. i have proof of a CR&R pick up truck in front of my house, since he says they dont send out supervisors. CR&R is a horrible service. They also do not separate the black trash which is the waste from they grey which is recycle they same trash truck picks up both and im am more then sure it is recorded on their trash truck.

CR&R will conduct an internal quality assurance review of the customer's experience and will address the matter accordingly.       This issue has happened several times over the years, but the most recent time was my trash was missed on 5/23/2024, the trash can only not the recycling or green waste. I contacted the company on 5/28, 5/29 and 5/30 to let them know and to send the driver to pick up my trash. He never came on any of those days promised, so I called on 5/31 to tell them I wanted a credit for the trash. I was informed it was going to be sent to the supervisor. I received my bill in 7/2024 with no credit. I called on 7/17 and spoke w/ ***** who informed me he was going to send it to the supervisor even though it was supposed to be done in May. Called back on 7/22 and spoke with *** who said there was no result yet, she was very nice and called me back on 7/23 to update and 7/24 to inform they denied my credit. She stated the gps showed him on my street. I said that does not mean he took my trash and why was the trash the only one that did not get serviced but the recycling and green waste did. Spoke with a supervisor and informed him that this is bull c*** and I am always having problems with the service. Ive been there for 14 years and its always the trash truck giving issues and they lie and say a driver is coming and they never do. They deny credits when its their fault. They are a very fraudulent company. They do not care about customer service. The people on the phone are good but the transportation department knows they dont have to do their job because the agents on the phone will be the ones that have to hear the complaints.

      This customer called CR&R stating their trash cart was not serviced on Thursday 5/23/24. CR&R scheduled three work orders to recover the cart (5/28/24, 5/29/24, and 5/30/24). However, the customer stated the cart was still not emptied and requested a credit for the missed service. CR&R initially denied the credit request due to a mismatch with what the customer reported and the truck's GPS records. Upon review, CR&R is honoring the customer's grievance and approved a one-time credit of $2.00 for the missed service on 5/23/24. CR&R thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      I responded to a CR&R mailing received 7/19/24 that said "New Senior Rates Now Available for Residents 65-Years and Older" by calling **************** at **************. The mailing advertised a 10% discount to the service rates charged single-family residential customers where the head of household is sixty-five years of age and above. I called on 7/23/24 and was told by ****, the **** that the mailing was a "mistake" and there is no 10% discount to seniors. In response, I said, "You cannot bait and switch a discount. You have to honor the mailing's 10% discount to seniors sixty-five years of age and above." When she repeated the "mistake" spiel, I advised her that I would be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint. This is the gist of my complaint: CR&R cannot send out a mailing advertising a 10% discount to seniors and renege on that discount. My monthly refuse assessment is $20.07 or $120.42 for the remainder of 2024. While the 10% of $12.04 is miniscule for 2024, it becomes more consequential in 2025. The 2025 assessment will be $240.84, with a savings of $24.08, providing the current rate continues.
