      Our scheduled trash day 7/2 was never serviced for our entire street. I called and several neighbors called and we were assured the trash would be picked up prior to 7pm. 7/3 the trash is still not picked up. Called again and told it was escalated and the trash would be picked up before 7pm. 7/4 still no trash pick up and a holiday. 7/5 we call again and are assured the trash would be picked up prior to 7pm. No trash pick up. 7/7, called again spoke to a supervisor again and was promised the trash would be picked up prior to 7pm. We are 6 days after our scheduled service date with no trash pick up. Some customer service representatives are pleasant, but most are rude and seem shocked that we expect our trash picked up. If there was an alternative company to pick up our trash, we'd cancel service, but CR&R knows we have no choice and therefore they treat their customers horrendously. They offer no credit to missing trash pick up until after 1 week.

      I was not informed of the annual hearing process. Can you verify that you informed me about the delinquent payment status of the tenant beside the letter attached in this complaint? Your company clearly has a form of communication that successfully used to reach me, but your company never attempted to contact me, as the owner, during the multiple year period of no payments from tenant. The company should have communicated this issue to me earlier, instead of allowing it to drag on. The City of ********** never gave us any documentation to inform me about this rule and its implications of delinquent charges, so they should reflect on how they deal with these types of issues. Because of the company's lack of attempts of communication, we should not be responsible for these charges.

      In accordance with BBB policy, CR&R is replying to this customer complaint:

      The City of ********** has an ordinance in place that allows for past due balances on solid waste services to be placed on the property tax roll. Each year during the hearing process, staff representatives remind owners to have services set up in their name and included with the rent to avoid issues with their tenants that fall into a delinquent billing status. As a courtesy, CR&R removed the owner from the listing for this year to allow them the ability to work this out with their tenant. To avoid this issue, it is recommended that the owner set up services directly with CR&R and include the trash bill on the tenant's rent. At this time, there is no further action required by CR&R to resolve the issue and the matter is considered closed.

      CR&R sent out multiple tax lien notices to the owner on 6/12/25 and 6/23/25. Additionally, the customer spoke with representatives from the ********************** to discuss their options. As stated in the previous reply, CR&R worked with this customer to remove them from the tax lien process for this year in order to give them time to work out the issue directly with their tenant. This matter is considered closed.

      Hi.

      As I was never supposed to be assigned an account due to CRR not being our service area. We have made multiple payments. I never heard back on refunding our payments because service was never provided to our area accordingly to CRR. 

      four payments of ***** and one payment of 23.05.

      the empty trash bin into the claw and the trash bin was taken and never returned.We are taking this as a form of retaliation.

An Operations Manager from CR&R has discussed the situation with the customer, and a trash cart will be delivered on Thursday 6/5/25. CR&R apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the delayed service, and thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      After speaking with the customer, it was determined that their account was set up incorrectly, and they are due a full refund for all payments made. The customer has been notified of the credit, and a refund process has been initiated. The refund will be mailed to the customer's address via check.       there was no car parked if there was a car parked how come our recycling bin was picked up but not the regular trash? They said they will come back Friday but there was no show I was home all day and I am 100% sure no car was parked. I called Monday too and they said they will come back and pick up they didnt I even put a camera to see if they came. No one came and now they are saying they cannot service me. This is not fair. I should not be charged for services I did not get.

      This customer contacted CR&R customer service today, Tuesday 4/29/25, to report their trash cart was not serviced. A work order was created for the driver to return for service by 6:00 p.m. Upon further review of this customer's concern, CR&R's driver has often reported carts being blocked by vehicles or not being placed out for service by 6:00 a.m. Carts must be fully accessible by the truck in order for drivers to provide service. CR&R encourages this customer to ensure carts are serviceable, and to speak with neighbors or community management to coordinate their parking situation. CR&R thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      A representative from CR&R contacted this customer to discuss the customer's concerns. CR&R had previously informed the customer their carts were blocked by vehicles, but upon investigation, the referenced home did not belong to the customer. CR&R will review this matter internally, and has filed a formal complaint on the customer's behalf. CR&R will monitor this account closely for the next few weeks to ensure service is completed as scheduled, and any service discrepancies reported and documented. Due to the confusion, CR&R has honored a 1 week credit of $2.79 for missed trash service on the customer's service day. CR&R apologizes, and thanks this customer for their patience and understanding.

      The account we have is a commercial account (#***********************. Our monthly bills are paid on time. There have been many times where our weekly trash has not been picked up. For the month of December thru April non pickup dates (Tuesdays) are: December 10 and 24 January 21 and 28 February 4, 11 and 18 March 4, 11 and 25.Contacting the customer service department has been a game of ping pong - pointing fingers.When they have been asked where are our refunds the responses are - they are being reviewed by the operations department. You have to wait for them.Additionally all conversations with the customer service department have ended with a promise to give an update call that day. Well after eight calls there have been NADA, zero update calls. As of today there have been no credits to our account for their lack of service.

      After review of the customer's concerns, a credit was issued on 3/31/25 for service issues reported for 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 3/11, and 3/25. The credit was a total of $67.40 and reflected on the 4/1/25 statement. CR&R is unable to issue credits prior to 2/4 as CR&R did not receive notification from the customer during the weeks of the reported misses. CR&R encourages the customer to contact customer service as soon as possible after a service discrepancy so that the issue can be investigated and a driver sent out to remediate the missed service. CR&R apologizes for the inconvenience this may have caused and thanks the customer for their patience and understanding.

      Garbage truck driver intentionally left our trash bin without picking it up on Tuesday April 8th, 2025.I contacted CR&R customer service every day since then and was promised that driver would come back by 6 pm to pick it up. I talked to several people including *** and **** (supervisors i was told) and they all kept on promising the trash would be picked up by 6 pm. All lies and intentional customer deceiving ************* another person told me that they would not come by until next trash day on Tuesday 04/15/2025.Fraudulent actions by deceptively charging fees for trash pickup and then not following through with the paid for service.

      Upon review of the customer's account, Operations sent a driver out immediately to service them on Friday, 4/11/25. After arriving, the driver noticed that this customer had placed their own unapproved trash can outside to have it serviced along with the CR&R approved cart. CR&R is only able to service approved carts. As a one-time courtesy the driver did empty the customer's personal cart. CR&R will not be able to service that personal cart going forward. A **************** Supervisor left a voicemail for the customer to inform him that all waste was recovered and that we would only service the CR&R approved carts in the future. If the customer has any further inquiries, we encourage him to call our **************** team for assistance. This matter is now closed.

      I want the company to respond to my complaint.This trash pick up service is terrible. They dropped of new trash cans at my location but did not pick up the old cans on *********. I now have a ridiculous 6 cans! I scheduled them to pick up my cans for 27MAR2025 and they did not pick them up! I labeled my cans for pick up to help the trash guys ID the cans for pick up. I scheduled them again to pick up my cans for 10APR2025 and they did not pick them up again! How many times do I need to contact them to pick up these stupid unwanted excess old trash cans? I never ordered the new cans either, everyone on my block including myself just gets new cans without notice. Terrible *****************

      CR&R did not empty my recycling container on March 17, 2025. There is an ongoing issue with this company not emptying my trash containers. My last BBB complaint was October 2025. My organics container was never emptied. I was told to leave it out and it wasn't emptied until 7 days later. Cr&r denied any wrong doing to the BBB on that issue and I never received any billing adjustment on my bill. Now it has happened again.BBB wasn't able to get the last issue resolved and I don't know what will happen this time, but I want to make sure that that I report this company that I'm paying for a service that is not being completed.

CR&R scheduled a return service for the same day, and CR&R's driver did not report any issues with the service. The work order was marked as complete. CR&R encourages this customer to place their carts out for service between the operating hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to ensure service is completed each week.       Contacted CR&R on 1/29/25 regarding my missed trash, they promised a driver on Thurs 1/30 that driver never show up. Called Friday 1/31, was told a driver would show up, still nothing. Called the same day Friday and was told the driver was not able to make it, as if the driver was the owner and made his own schedule. We were told our trash would not be picked up until Wed 2/5 which is our normal scheduleday. My bin was already full, and they expect it to be overfilled by wed 2/5, but they "promised" the driver would get out of his truck and pick up the additional bags, I guess we'll see if he really does. So disapointed and I feel they are retaliating against me for complaining. I want them to fulfill their service but since they cannot I want an apology and a credit in my bill since they are refusing to pick up and fulfill a service I am paying for. I have read lots of reviews regarding this company and I really hope they are listening to the hundreds of reviews from customers who are fed up with subpar service.

      CR&R was made aware of the reported missed service for this customer on 1/31/25. The customer was informed that a driver would return to service, but unforeseen operational challenges prevented that from happening. To assist the customer with recovering the excess waste, our agent offered to have additional bags collected on their next service day (2/5/25). This will be completed per the Route Manager. Historically, this customer has not called often to report that services were missed, but CR&R will monitor to ensure that waste is collected in a timely manner each week. CR&R appreciates the patience and understanding of this loyal customer as the issues are resolved.
