They miss picking up my trash often I am a sitting duck because they dont communicate anything to us no note or nothing The drivers are rude and have no work ethic I just dont understand how they do not receive training on half of these things along with always leaving out trash lids openBusiness Response

The Operations Manager responsible for this customer's area called the customer directly after investigating the reported service issues. This customer lives next to a business center and the route driver observed that other people are blocking the carts on service day which prevents him from being able to service successfully. CR&R's policy is that safety is paramount. Drivers do not put people or property in harm's way if carts are blocked by vehicles or other objects. Going forward, the Operations Manager has instructed the route drivers to place tags on any carts that they are not able to service in order to raise awareness. Service will continue to be monitored to ensure it is being rendered efficiently. CR&R appreciates the patience and understanding of this customer as this is resolved.

CR&R is the local trash removal company in our area. We pay for 4 trash cans and included with the paid service are two large item pick *** for no additional charge per year. Our account is current, and when we requested a large item pick up, we had to wait over two weeks for an open schedule time. They failed to pick up on the scheduled day, 8/28/2025, even though we called and verified that pick up was scheduled. My husband was reassured that someone would be out that day. They did not show. The following day, CR&R was contacted again. The CR&R employee had to research what was happening. Upon returning our call, we were told they would be out Friday, 8/29/2025, or Saturday, 8/30/2025.The items are still awaiting pick up as of 9/1/2025. This is causing concerns and issues with our landlord, not to mention it is an eyesore. In April my residence in ********, **************** was contacted by CR&R stating that they would correct an error by removing a black trash bin and replace it with a blue recycle bin. This additional black trash bin had been in use since before we moved into the house in April 2020. This change of bins was solely a correction by CR&R, not requested by us. In May 2025 we received a bill stating we should pay fees for the change that they instigated. When we called to have this bill removed CR&R admitted on recorded conversations that this charge was erroneous and would be removed. Since that phone conversation with CR&R customer service, including supervisors, we have been assured that the charges would be removed. As of July 31 2025 these charges are still pending, threatening to become a collection. We have received at least 5 assurances via phone that these charges would be removed. I am now, therefore, escalating this inaction by CR&R to a complaint.Business Response

After a review of this customers claim that he was being charged improperly for a container that he did not have, CR&R credited the incorrect charge of $62.06 on 7/30/25. A Supervisor in **************** reached out to the customer and left them a voicemail on 7/30/25 to inform them of the adjustment. This customer does not have an outstanding balance and the matter has been closed. CR&R appreciates the patience and understanding of this customer as the issue was reviewed and resolved.

We've been going back and forth with CR&R for at least THREE years regarding our recycling dumpster pickup. We are billed and pay for on-time service every month, for two weekly pickups: one for a waste bin and another for a recyclables dumpster. On average, over the last 24 months, they've failed to collect the recycling once every month. Some months we'll go 2-3 weeks without service. They bill for their services in advance, so there is no recourse when they fail to provide the services you've already paid for. Since they are the only waste contractor for our county, we don't have options to switch so I'm here to seek assistance in getting them to understand the legality issues behind what they're doing. The solution we've received is "call customer service when you've noticed your dumpster hasn't been serviced," and that worked fine 4 years ago when it happened a few times a year. When it became a weekly occurrence, I informed CR&R that we would no longer be contacting them weekly, as my staff is not paid to do the job of their drivers. We're running a company here, and dedicating hours every week to do their job is just not ************* we are in 2025, and our recycling dumpster hasn't been picked up in two weeks, but they've invoiced us for both of those pickups as if they were completed. In conclusion, they are a monopoly in our area, and they know it. This allows them to treat customers as if they're paying them instead of the other way around. They can push the responsibilities they're paid to do onto their customers with no repercussions. Maybe a class action lawsuit is the best route to go? How many other customers are paying for ******************** they never get?Business Response

CR&R takes all reports of missed service seriously and does a thorough investigation. After review, the Operations Manager has resolved to monitor the customer's account weekly to ensure that they are receiving service every Tuesday. Further, a driver went out on Thursday, 7/31/25, and completed service on the recycle cart in question. CR&R sincerely appreciates the patience and understanding of this long-standing customer and looks forward to providing consistent and efficient service going forward.

At this time I am choosing to reject the response until the service contract has been honored for two consecutive weeks. I believe this to be fair as CR&R requires us to PRE-PAY a month in advance. And to be fair, the only reason the driver came out on 07/31/25 was because we called, emailed and filed this complaint. Had we not CR&R would've failed to honor their service contract 3 of the 4 weeks in July, which I will reiterate, we have already paid for. I can not find anywhere in the service contract with CR&R that we are required to email and call on a weekly basis to have those services provided. If that is the case, the contract should be amended and our rates should be adjusted accordingly. The response provided by CR&R is one we've received a hundred times over the last FOUR years this has been occurring, only a few times have they continued to honor that commitment for an entire billing cycle.
We will continue to monitor the scheduled pickups and will update the complaint should there be a change in it's status. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Our scheduled trash day 7/2 was never serviced for our entire street. I called and several neighbors called and we were assured the trash would be picked up prior to 7pm. 7/3 the trash is still not picked up. Called again and told it was escalated and the trash would be picked up before 7pm. 7/4 still no trash pick up and a holiday. 7/5 we call again and are assured the trash would be picked up prior to 7pm. No trash pick up. 7/7, called again spoke to a supervisor again and was promised the trash would be picked up prior to 7pm. We are 6 days after our scheduled service date with no trash pick up. Some customer service representatives are pleasant, but most are rude and seem shocked that we expect our trash picked up. If there was an alternative company to pick up our trash, we'd cancel service, but CR&R knows we have no choice and therefore they treat their customers horrendously. They offer no credit to missing trash pick up until after 1 week.Business Response

A letter was sent on 6/12/2025. The property is ****************************************. The trash company (********) states that I (landlord) must pay ****** for trash services that was maintained through the account of the tenant. The tenant resided in the property from November 2023 to May 2025. They want me to pay for trash services for two years. They should ask the tenant to resolve the charges, not me as the landlord. The trash company should cancel the charge of ******, and I should not have to pay.Business Response

The City of ********** has an ordinance in place that allows for past due balances on solid waste services to be placed on the property tax roll. Each year during the hearing process, staff representatives remind owners to have services set up in their name and included with the rent to avoid issues with their tenants that fall into a delinquent billing status. As a courtesy, CR&R removed the owner from the listing for this year to allow them the ability to work this out with their tenant. To avoid this issue, it is recommended that the owner set up services directly with CR&R and include the trash bill on the tenant's rent. At this time, there is no further action required by CR&R to resolve the issue and the matter is considered closed.

I was not informed of the annual hearing process. Can you verify that you informed me about the delinquent payment status of the tenant beside the letter attached in this complaint? Your company clearly has a form of communication that successfully used to reach me, but your company never attempted to contact me, as the owner, during the multiple year period of no payments from tenant. The company should have communicated this issue to me earlier, instead of allowing it to drag on. The City of ********** never gave us any documentation to inform me about this rule and its implications of delinquent charges, so they should reflect on how they deal with these types of issues. Initial email was sent to CR&R customer service for replacement of a broken waste trash bin. 05/04/2025 Received reply on the 05/05/2025 confirming the damage to the cart and what type it was by customer **********/**/2025 - Scheduled for cart exchange at 05/12/2025 05/12/2025 - Waste bin was don't swapped out and emailed CS again.05/13/2025 - CS states that trash cart was not out for exchange. Which was false, our security camera footage clearly show the trash bin is out. Again, have to confirm with customer service that which cart needs to be exchanged.05/14/2025- CS states that trash bin will be exchanged 06/02/2025 06/02/2025- Waste bin was replaced with a smaller black bin 1102AM. Disposal truck is seen on camera 420PM intentionally taking our trash bin and trying to be out of view of our security cameras. The trash truck is seen first emptying the bin in front of the house, then backing up and trying to be out of view behind our tree. Someone is seem exiting the truck and moving the empty trash bin into the claw and the trash bin was taken and never returned.We are taking this as a form of retaliation.Business Response

My trash didn't get picked up on Thursday, I called Friday saying they will come back within the day to pick up, I called again Monday since they did not pick up, they said they will come back to pick up, Tuesday morning I called since they did not pick up and supervisor ******* said they will not be able to come back and pick up. This customer contacted CR&R customer service today, Tuesday 4/29/25, to report their trash cart was not serviced. A work order was created for the driver to return for service by 6:00 p.m. Upon further review of this customer's concern, CR&R's driver has often reported carts being blocked by vehicles or not being placed out for service by 6:00 a.m. Carts must be fully accessible by the truck in order for drivers to provide service. CR&R encourages this customer to ensure carts are serviceable, and to speak with neighbors or community management to coordinate their parking situation. there was no car parked if there was a car parked how come our recycling bin was picked up but not the regular trash? They said they will come back Friday but there was no show I was home all day and I am 100% sure no car was parked. I called Monday too and they said they will come back and pick up they didnt I even put a camera to see if they came. No one came and now they are saying they cannot service me. This is not fair. CR&R had previously informed the customer their carts were blocked by vehicles, but upon investigation, the referenced home did not belong to the customer. CR&R will monitor this account closely for the next few weeks to ensure service is completed as scheduled, and any service discrepancies reported and documented. The account we have is a commercial account (#***********************. Our monthly bills are paid on time. There have been many times where our weekly trash has not been picked up. For the month of December thru April non pickup dates (Tuesdays) are: December 10 and 24 January 21 and 28 February 4, 11 and 18 March 4, 11 and 25.Contacting the customer service department has been a game of ping pong - pointing fingers.When they have been asked where are our refunds the responses are - they are being reviewed by the operations department. You have to wait for them.Additionally all conversations with the customer service department have ended with a promise to give an update call that day. Well after eight calls there have been NADA, zero update calls. As of today there have been no credits to our account for their lack of service.Business Response

After review of the customer's concerns, a credit was issued on 3/31/25 for service issues reported for 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 3/11, and 3/25. The credit was a total of $67.40 and reflected on the 4/1/25 statement. CR&R is unable to issue credits prior to 2/4 as CR&R did not receive notification from the customer during the weeks of the reported misses. CR&R encourages the customer to contact customer service as soon as possible after a service discrepancy so that the issue can be investigated and a driver sent out to remediate the missed service. CR&R apologizes for the inconvenience this may have caused and thanks the customer for their patience and understanding.
