I am filing this complaint against Caine & Weiner regarding an alleged debt related to ********************************* (Account #: *********. On June 6, 2025, I submitted a formal debt validation request via **** Certified Mail #**** 0710 5270 0034 9816 17, as allowed under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).I requested full and complete validation of the alleged debt, including a signed agreement, a detailed account history, and documentation showing they are authorized to collect on behalf of the original creditor. To date, they have failed to provide any of the requested documentation and only referenced a generic letter allegedly mailed in 2024, which I never received.Despite this, Caine & Weiner continues to report the alleged debt to credit bureaus, in violation of FDCPA Section 1692g(b), which prohibits continued collection activity without proper validation.I am requesting that Caine & Weiner immediately cease all collection activity and remove this account from all credit reporting agencies. If the entry is not removed within 15 days of receiving this complaint, I will escalate the matter to the ***** FTC, and ************************************* and explore legal options for FDCPA violations.Business Response

I found a collection account reported by **********************, opened on October 31, 2024, with a balance of $268. This account is unfamiliar to me and appears to be fraudulent. I respectfully ask that it be reviewed, removed, and blocked from my credit report.Business Response

I honestly dont get why CAINE & WEINER is reporting this debt under my name because I dont owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didnt even bother to provide it. Its frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and its just not fair.
