I purchased a service from *********** on the 29th of November for $213.95. I received the order confirmation on 11/29/2023, confirmation #S1169188526. As of today, 12/20/2023, I have not received any of the services. I have filed multiple inquiries for status updates and left messages which have not been responded to. At this point, I want my money refunded for not receiving any of the services ordered.Business Response

This customer order our service to file for a FL sales license. We completed the filing request on 11/29, the same day they placed the order. As was outlined very clearly, it takes the state time to process things on their end once we complete the filing. It can take the state as long as 2 months to process things once we complete the filing service. State time frames are not in our control, and unrelated to our filing service.
Coincidentally, we got approval from the state earlier today and emailed the approved filing to the customer to *********************.
Second, this customer claims we did not reply to her inquiries. We received one inquiries from this customer. That inquiry was today (12/20/2023). We indeed responded to that inquiry today.
I am quite surprised that someone would file a BBB complaint within 1 hour of contacting us, and when the service was performed exactly as agreed upon. Why wouldn't the customer simply look at their confirmation email, which outlines the time frames to expect? Why wouldn't the customer give us more than an hour to respond to their email before filing a BBB complaint?

The company offers a service at an absurdly high rate for a filing that can easily be done online with the *******************'s Secretary of State at a third of the cost. This filing was intended for the Secretary of State's website, not for FastFiling's website. This company does not offer a refund, and so this is a complaint based on this fact. Refunds should be offered, since, additionally, this website uses ****** search techniques so that they are listed as the first search return, rather than the Secretary of State's own website where one can file easily the relevant documents, which is precisely what our company intended to do: file directly with the *******************'s Secretary of State. Thus, this constitutes a deceptive ploy in order to generate revenue from unsuspecting customers, with revenue guaranteed through their policy.Business Response

We are so sorry this customer had an issue with our service. However, I need to point out a few things:
1) Yes, we charge a fee for our service. Our $69 service fee is outlined clearly on the landing page, and during checkout. If someone does not like or agree with our fee, they should not place the order and agree to the fee. Our service fee is labeled as "Fast Filings Service Fee".
2) Our refund policy is outlined clearly during checkout, and you actually have to check a box to agree to the policy before placing the order. This leaves no room for someone to be unaware or confused about the refund policy, because a permit must actively agree to it before hand.
3) We do not suggest or imply anywhere that we have anything to do with the CA Secretary of State. In fact, we outline clearly through the entire process that we are a private service. The service fee is clearly labeled as "Fast Filings service fee" also makes it clear we are a private service. You also have to check a box upon checkout to confirm you understand we are a private service.
4) Yes, we advertise through ****** as do thousands of other small businesses like ours.
In other words, it is not possible to order with us without first seeing the clear fee, agreeing to the policies, and confirming you understand we are a private service. That said, if this customer wants to contact us directly perhaps we can offer a partial refund as a courtesy to show good faith. Please email us directly at **********************************.

Using ****** tried to find ******** Coroprate renews , their site disguised as a legit site caused me to file paying more money, not until the actual state contacted me saying they received nothing causing me to file with actual legit state. On 8/16/2023 I was directed by the *** to file my annual report with ***** so I searched ***** and clicked on the Annual report filing. I entered my information and payment for the $75 fee. I did acknowledge there is no cancellation or refund, and I did not expect to ever have to cancel or request a refund from the ******** Secretary of State for a filing that is required by law. As soon as I hit submit my credit card notified me of a $175 charge from Fast Filings, not *****. I IMMEDIATELY contacted my bank and searched this Fast Filings company and tried to call them but their website only had an email so I contacted them by email to notify them that I thought I was on the ***** website and requested a cancellation. The following day *** responded saying there is no cancellation or refund. After explaining the situation several times in email exchanges, he offered to charge me $50 to cancel the order. So there is a cancellation policy, he just want's to charge for it. I contacted my bank again and they advised me not to negotiate, that they would dispute and charge back to merchant because I did not know that third party website popped up somehow. I emailed *** to tell him my bank advised me not to accept his $50 cancellation fee and he said he would win the dispute. In my opinion, businesses that need to deceive customers to make money should be shut down. I did not receive anything from Fast Filings, I contacted them IMMEDIATELY, and now it's all this work for everyone because they simply couldn't do the right thing. No business ethics. All I wanted was to cancel an order I had no idea was with that company. To file directly with state was structured EXACTLY the way Fast Filings was. We are sorry for any issues with our service, but I want to point out that not a single claim in this complaint is true.
1) You were not directed to us the the **** The *** does not direct people to us, we have no association with the *** and we do not do any *** filings.
2) Our $174 processing fee is prominently displayed during checkout in bold print.
3) You cannot place an order with us without actively confirming you understand the cancellation policy and without confirming you understand you are giving us permission to file on your behalf as a third party.
4) We absolutely did not offer to charge you $50 to cancel your order.
5) You agreed to a clear no cancellation, no refund policy. This policy in in place for a reason and it's very clearly displayed, and you have to actively sign off on the policy.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I have attached the email where he offered to cancel and refund all but $50. If I wanted to go back to that website I am fairly certain I would not see that $100 service fee as prominently displayed as he suggests. He is arguing things I am not claiming. I did not say the *** directed me to his website. They directed me to ***** which is what I searched for to file my annual report. Somehow his company must have popped up. I did not know I was not on the ***** website. That's why I agreed to the no cancellation policy. I thought I was on the ***** website. I'm not claiming I didn't agree to that. My issue is I thought I was doing business directly with the ***** website. I contacted this Fast Filings immediately when I saw the extra $100 charge. I have attached an email showing he offered to cancel the order and just charge me $50 to cancel the order. He lied and there is proof. This is not an honorable way to make money and people should be warned about this business. There are numerous complaints. An honorable, legitimate business does not have to deceive consumers into clicking on their company's pop up links. I contacted them immediately and did not receive any product or service so he should have done the right thing and refunded or cancelled the charge while it was pending for two days. Instead he forced me to issue a charge back and waste everyone's time. I am completely unsatisfied with this company and the owners off base and untruthful response, as backed by his email.

I stand corrected, I apologize. It looks like our rep was incredibly generous and offered you a partial refund even though we had zero obligation to do so based on the clear terms. So yes, it looks like in good faith we offered you an incredibly, incredibly generous exception to the Terms, which you did not accept.
Because we very rarely do such a thing, I assumed you were incorrect. But it appears I was incorrect.
Since you did not accept our very generous offer for a partial refund, that offer is obviously now off the table.
Again, you agreed to very, very clear policies during the order process, and we offered you an exception to those policies which you did not take.
As for thinking we were the ******** state - we certainly never suggested anywhere that we have anything to do with the state. Our business name is fastfilings.com, which is prominently displayed on our website. We list clearly on every single page of our site that we are a private service, and the first line of the Terms you read and agreed to clearly states we are a private service. Even if these clear disclaimers were not present, we never ever suggest or imply anywhere that we have any affiliation with the state.
As for the fees, they were displayed clearly (see attached).
As for your bank dispute, it was closed in our favor and deemed invalid. It sounds like your bank gave you bad advice when you discussed a dispute with them. I would suggest you discuss that bad advice directly with them.

I am rejecting this response because:In your response to the bank you once again were incorrect, and falsely told them in writing (attached, page 3/10) that there was no attempt by me to contact you. Well, again, the email correspondence confirms that you are not telling the truth. I contacted your company IMMEDIATELY when the charge came in from a company other than *****. I contacted you at 1:42 pm CST 8/16/23 and the information you provided my bank shows you downloaded the order at 17:40:20 PDT (7:40 pm CST) 8/16/23. It took your company 6 hours to download the order when it only took me 5 minutes to file the report directly with the state without your $100 service fee.
The fact of the matter is, I did a ****** search of "ilsos annual report" (screenshot attached) and somehow your business pops up. I never searched for your company so kudos to your SEO team, HOWEVER, legitimate, honest businesses that actually offer a service should not have to deceive customers into a no refund policy when clearly you did not render any service or product, and you were notified IMMEDIATELY that it was a mistake. Shame on you for having to make money like that. It's reprehensible. I am not disputing the fact that there was a no refund policy. The dispute is based on not knowing your company's link popped up when I was trying to do business directly with the state website.
You stated there never was an offer to cancel the order for a $50 charge - and you have been proven wrong.
You stated there was no attempt by me to contact you - and you have been proven wrong with a string of emails back and forth IMMEDIATELY.
You and your business are simply unprofessional and it appears you will say anything and do anything to make a buck.
There is a reason why so many of your reviews are trying to warn people not to do business with you.
The BBB should help protect consumers from predatory businesses like yours.
All you had to do was the honorable thing and cancel an order that was made in error. Clearly you can do that because you wanted to charge me $50 to do it.

I needed my birth certificate and found there site. I paid them and never received anything from them, I have contacted them through email as well as called and have yet to receive any reply at all. Keep in mind you emailed us very early in the morning. We replied within 2 hours. I don't think it is fair to state that we did not reply when it took us just 2 hours to reply. Second, we have no control over US mail. Sometimes things don't get delivered or whatever it is. All you have to do is ask us to send another order, and we are happy to do that. We have a section right on our website at the "Contact Us" section that allows you to submit a request for us to send another copy of your order. We did not receive any request from you there.
Again, we received only 1 email from you, and it was just 2 hours ago. Do you feel it's fair to file a complaint because it took us just 2 hours to reply to your email? This sounds very unreasonable to me.
As I stated in my email, if you can simply confirm your address, we are happy to send another package out today.
Please in the future, simply contact the merchant and communicate your needs before filing a complaint and asking a business to be shut down. We are hard working good people just like you. We want to help. No need to lash out and wish death upon us.

They never not once replied to any of my emails so if they had went to spam maybe instead they should have replied to one of the many messages I had sent to their site! Also even tried accepted 50% of the refund offered on their site but still never got no reply!! The only reason I have now been able to get a hold of them or find a real email is because of the complaints on this site! Also I don't need they're services now since I had no other choice but to pay a legit business to get the job done that I had paid these people to do! I don't need another Birth certificate I have it already no thanks to them! What I need is my money back that they took from me considering they never had no intentions at all in doing the job! On June 4, 2023 I filed through Mo.gov website for a "sales tax license." The web site sent me to "**********************." I filed for my sales tax license and they charged me $244.00. I received an email from "********" her title is processing ***** Fastfilings.com I can not get anyone on the phone nor an email response from them. I have asked that they call me, to discuss any issues we are having with the filing. I need my license I have paid for, so I can open my business! I just took a look, and we received only one single email from you where you said Please call me at ************. We replied to that email within 1 hour telling you that we do not offer phone support, but we can happily help through email. We never received any reply from you to that email. Further, I see that we completed your license filing and we emailed the completed license filing to you on 6/9 to the email address you listed on your order ,which was ********************** I see you placed your order with us on 6/2, and you filed this complaint on 6/7. I would like to respectfully point out that you filed your BBB complaint just 2 business days after you placed your order. This timeframe is way before your order was even estimated to be processed. I would also like to respectfully point out that we replied to your only email to us, and you did not respond to us. We then sent you another email on 6/9 with your order, and that order delivery was well within the timeframe we estimated. I went online to purchase a *************** on March 6, 2023 and paid $94.95 via credit card. My bank statements show the payment was honored on March 7, 2023. I have never received the lcense, tried many times to resolve the issue to no avail. I ultimately went to the ************* Business Gateway, paid $25.00 and was given a vendors license immediately.I have a small craft business and do not anticipate an income to exceed $600 annualy. I just want to stay active; however, I am hesitant to move forward as I do not know what ************ did. I would appreciate a reimbursement immediately. It has been sixty (60) days and ************ has not followed through. I have not been successfull in getting a response.On May 1, 2023, I went to the ************* and was issued a vendors licence immediately for $25.00. I just took a look into your order. We sent several emails to you to ********************** to ***** us access to your **** account so we could finish up the license setup. To date, we have still not received access to the account to finish the license. Please reply to one of our many emails requesting access. We also sent you some text messages. As was outlined in extremely clear detail, it is your responsibility to ***** us access or reply to information requests from our processors so they can do their job. If you do not reply, we cannot complete our job. We also outlined very clearly that if you do not respond or provide what we need, this is not a situation that we will consider a refund. The reason being, that if you dont reply with the info we need, we still had to do considerable work. This is why our no-refund policy exists, and why we make it so clear in the order process. We are in a unique business where we often have to do considerable work on an order and will require info from a customer before the filing can even be completed. I am sorry to hear you feel that way. However, we feel that you were in fact the party being rude. We sent you several emails requesting you to ***** us access, and each of those emails was met with a very aggressive, hostile response from you.
So maybe we got off on the wrong foot, so why don't we just try a clean start?
We just now sent another access request to your **** Business Gateway so we can finish the license filing. **** sent you an email to ***** us access. (As you may be aware, windstream.net email service is known to have bugs and problems, so make sure to check spam)
If you don't see the email from the state, you can also just log in to your existing **** Business Gateway and click "Account Access Requests" at the top right hand corner. Our access request will be there.
As you know, during the order process you confirmed you understood this order could not be refunded, so unfortunately that is not something we can consider. But as long as you follow the simple instructions above, we can get things finished up.

4/29 $276.95 How does the **** allow a company like this to exist?I went to file my report with *******, but when I typed in ******* filing, I ended up on their site. I thought until I paid that I was working with a trusted partner of ******* for business filings. They aren't. I found that I paid $295 for a filing that cost $158 with the state's direct site. I emailed them to cancel it. They then said that I could keep a filing until next year. I don't want it. I want my money back.They then proceeded to hide behind a no refund policy that is outrageous. First they charge double the state filing fee, and then when you realize that, they refuse to refund. Keep in mind, I paid on a Saturday and they didn't respond until Monday afternoon. This company is engaged in very unethical business practices. While, it's not illegal to keep my money, they are proceeding with it. It's a reminder to check all of your sources before you click something because it's clear that their business model relies on a no-refund policy. They get to keep $297 for doing nothing other than sending me emails to check their website. Don't use this company. It's half the price to file the same filings online with your state. In fact, you'll spend the same amount of time filling out the same info that they will be filing on your behalf and just charging you double.An absolute scam.Business Response

We had a very clear no refund policy that you actively signed off on and agreed to. This was not a situation where you could passively agree to the policy without actually seeing it. You had to actually check a box confirming you agreed to it. 3) Our fee is the fee that works for us for the service we offer. If you think the fee is not a fit for you, then you dont place an order with us. If you go to get your car washed and the fee of the service is higher than is comfortable for you, you dont use the service. As a business, we can set our prices at whatever price point makes sense for us, and as a consumer, you can decide whether or not you want to use the service and you accept the price. Our pricing was outlined clearly and you accepted the price. Because we have received so many aggressive and combative emails from you and because you disputed the charge, a refund is not something we can consider. Please note that your credit card dispute was closed in our favor.

I used *********** to apply for my ******** sales tax license and paid extra to have it expedited. They claim they can obtain the license for you in under 5 minutes on their website. After a couple weeks and not receiving anything I attempted to reach out to them. Their responses are short, sporadic, and not helpful. Then they told me they sent my license to an address in *********. An address I didnt give them. Ive never been to *********. Id like to know what the resolution to this is as emailing them back and forth over the last week is not working and Im very confused as to what to do. I needed my sales tax license quickly or I wouldnt have paid them money to get it for me. I just want them to figure out what they did wrong, fix it, and refund my $100 I paid to ***********. Anyway, I took a look into your order. We completed your filing on 4/16 for the ******** sales and use tax license. The state appears to have gotten that request processed and mailed it to *****************************************************. If you have not gotten the license by mail, we can certainly reach out to the state to have them send another copy.
