      Purchased an Orbi Mesh setup from NetGear. Was supposed to include a year of NetGear Armor and Bitdefender. My subscription stopped working after a few weeks even though my account says it's valid until almost the end of 2023 and all I get from support is "we will get back to you...". Stay away from NetGear. They don't care one bit about their customers and clearly their support has next to no training. 3 tickets and nothing accomplished. How hard is it to activate a product??

      I recently had problems with my netgear router and had the misfortune of calling their ******** service. They are a complete scam of an organization. Netgear hardware has a good reputation but they should scrap their ******** service model. First I was told they wouldn't talk to me without a credit card on file. Then the guy claimed the problem was my computer because it had too much malware. I went through steps with him to fix the problem which he claimed took care of it. 2 days later same thing so I decide to buy a new router. Spectrum tells me netgear suggests netgear again and that iscwhat I do. Hook it up and it immediately says call ******** service. Oh no!! They again yell me it is my computer and a 1 time fix will be 109 dollars. Keep in mind already bought a 135 dollar router. I yell the ******** service rep no and he says "thank you for wasting my time today"! I am livid bc they have already signed me up for a service contract at 229 dollars every 2 years! On top of 3 charges for no apparent reason of $1.10. This has now been 3 days of worry. I return the router and buy a tp link router. Hook it up and ot works within 5 minutes. What netgear does is take advantage of non tech geeks with scare tactics then start gouging you for everything they can. Will never own another netgear product.

      I purchased a Netgear AC1750 router in March of 2020. I started having issues with it about a year after purchase. Recently I noticed that the 5G wasn't working. I knew it was out of warranty but decided to call tech support anyway. I told her I tried all the fixes on the forums which included changing channels, loading previous firmware and a host of other things that never worked. She was able to remote into my router and said it had a life of 96% but the reason it wasn't working was because I didn't purchase the subscription for Netgear Armor. She almost implied if I renewed it they could fix it. From looking at the other reviews I have no doubt they intentionally turned off my 5G. I have a new Asus router coming that uses Aiprotection which is free for life. I will never purchase another Netgear Product again!!

      received an ORBI mesh system for christmas. Used for about a week and the router died. Tech support was somewhat helpful as they gave me a case no., but ******** support has not reached out at all. They keep sending emais stating they are sending an RMA, but it never shows. Been twoo weeks now. Not the type of support I expect from Netgear!!!

      It was like buying Malware. My Netgear Router went out after one year. Bought another Netgear Router and it didn't work. Was told I would have to purchase a Service Plan to Rectify the Situation. Not True.Installed a different Brand and it solved my Problem..

      I bought a c7000 router mode combo. From when I first purchased, it never worked to the specifications on the product. As I upgraded my speed through my provider I was hoping I could get better speed but it didn't. I contacted ******** support only to be lied to and they told me their assumptions that made no sense at all. Inavently it was back to " we need to sell you a tech plan" tactic. As proceeded with netgear I could no longer trust that they have my problem resolved. I will never buy another netgear product. Thank you.

      If you'd seen all the interactions between me and your ******** service you'd see that the modem router never worked properly since I first purchased it. The only reason it's out of warranty is because I never felt comfortable for my provider to come in my house and check the wiring til October of this year. The modem router never gave me speeds close to what my providers plan was. Therefore this product never worked when it was still in warranty and all you guys want to do is sell me a tech plan that cost more then the product. And that's just to talk to tech. Ridiculous.

      I bought two Netgear Nighthawk routers. The first was to replace my xfinity leased router, and the second was to replace the 54 week old "dead" Nighthawk. I also purchase a 2 year ProSupport package from Netgear. When my first nighthawk died I spent 5 to 6 hours on the phone for support to have them tell me it was "dead". I asked about the extension from 1 year to 2 years on hardware failure that was part of the 2 year ProSupport, only to be told after I tried to use the second year replacement on hardware failure. I was told there are 2 ProSupport 2 year plans and somehow, my plan DID NOT include the extended hardware protection but it is still active until June 2024.
      On the replacement Nighthawk I purchased from Best Buy I spent 5+ hours trying to setup a new Nighthawk. The Netgear support said it would work and hung up. I then called back to get a refund on my remaining support and was told multiple times by a low level person that a refund was impossible. Even though I no longer have any Netgear equipment and their support is incredibly sub-par if there is a true problem. Plus the support staff are incredibly difficult to understand even with the same script and always talking to a person named *******

      I would like to have a formal complaint filed, a full support refund, and REDUCTION in Netgear rating to made a D+. They are a terrible company to deal with and in my case their product is junk.

Please be aware that just your support warranty is being extended by this contract, not your hardware warranty. On June 22, 2022, the duplicate 24-month contract was refunded to your account in the sum of $229.99, and on June 28, 2022, your 6-month contract was renewed. Due to the fact that your account still has 24 months remaining on it, we have already refunded you $89.99 for the renewal fee.

      bought a netgear router for roughly 160ish says its good with spectrum always trusted and used there products! toss we the box hooked it up and now spectrum can't get it connected I wanted my money even though it says it's good with spectrum! big let down ans it ***** cause I've always liked you guys and pushed others to switch!

      I will never buy a Netgear product again. I have a Nighthawk and have had problems from day one with it not showing up on my computer under "available networks." I called them when I was installing it and they did some changes to the product and it worked until the local cable company disconnected the internet while working on the lines. Then, same problem. This has happened at least 3 times now (in approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years). I had to call Netgear each time and they had to do something on their end to make it work again. So, the internet was out in the area again a few days ago. This morning, I tried to get online to fill out some medical papers and, again, the router was not showing up on my computer to sign onto. I was on the phone most of the morning with Netgear and they refused to help me without $89.99 for 6 month service plan. I explained this is a problem with their router and it happens every time the service is interrupted. I told them all our phones pick up the router and I can take my computer anywhere else and it will connect to anyone's Wi-Fi. So, it is not a problem with my computer or our Wi-Fi. It is their router. I spoke to a supervisor and still no resolution. I called 2 or 3 times. I asked for a corporate number and they wouldn't give it to me. I told them I was going to purchase a router from a different company and they told me to go ahead and do that. I spoke to my future son-in-law, who has an IT degree and works on computers all day. He said Netgear is notorious for having a lot of problems and not being user friendly. He recommended names of 3 other better routers, one of which I will be purchasing. I will also be spreading the word about poor Netgear products and customer service. I spent over $150 on their product and have spent several hours of my valuable time on the phone with them to fix the issue with their product.

      The "one time grace support" would only work until the cable company works on the lines or the electricity goes out again. This could be tomorrow, next week, or next year. Then...same problem. I don't have time to waste on the phone with your tech support. This is a flaw in your product that will be ongoing as long as I have it. So, no thank you.
