    I downloaded McAfee Computer Security several years ago. I paid for the subcription. Once my subscription expired i did not renew. I was getting pop up reminders to renew my subscription. They be came more frequent and to the point that I could not exist out of the pop up with out clicking on a package. It has completely held my computer hostage for months. I cannot use my computer without constant pop-**** It is utter harrasment.

    On 4/21/25, I was charged for an auto renewal for McAfee virus protection in the amount of $192.09. I was not sent an email notifying me of my upcoming renewal, so I had no chance to cancel. I was told they could not get a refund my money. Every time i see auto renew on , I would turn it but the y still charge me for a service I don't need. I would like to be refunded the amount of $192.09.

    I recently encountered an issue with my McAfee Live Coverage, the antivirus real time scan stopped working on 8 April. I rung McAfee and was told that a technical specialist would call me back. Nobody rung and I made contact two more times. Yesterday (29 April 2025) I spoke with a technical specialist for 1.5 hours who uninstalled and reinstalled McAfee but to no avail. I asked McAfee to cancel my subscription and return my payment, minus the 8 months of which the protection was working properly. McAfee told me that their policy is that there are no refunds outside of a 60 day period from the outset of the cover. I explained that McAfee has not provided service in two ways, 1) they did not call me having promised three times that they would, 2) I am left with a service that is not working properly and cannot be ******** subscription is valid until 8/16/2026.

    ****** signed me up for internet virus protection on my computer in 2018 EVEN THOUGH I declined it.They signed me up using a fraudulaent name "*************** Consumer 30 Da" and have been charging my ****** account.I received a notice on Aug 26 2018 that they would begin charging my account BUT I DECLINED IT over the phone on that date.I then sent all email from ****** to spam.I didn't realize I was set up again using a fraudulent name. My fault for not checking my monthly ****** bill.McAfee began charging my ****** account yearly in October. To date I have been charged 2018=$42.49 ; 2019=$116.86 ; 2020=$127.49 ; 2021=$127.49 ; 2022= $138.11; 2023=$159.36 ; 2024= $159.36 I would like a refund from Mcaffe

    They attempted to charge my bank debit card for $390 as auto renew with no notification, text or email. When that was denied as suspected fraud they attempted to charge a credit card which was also denied as fraud. I have another month on my subscription but wasn't planning to renew it. This should be illegal not to notify of auto renew

    I wrote the following letter to McAfee on 4-6-25. McAfee did an auto renew of an account I never had.**** S. ****** *****************************. Johnsbury, Vt 05819April 6, 2025 McAfee, LLC,******************************************** Subject: Auto Renew Of Non-Existent Account *************** ******************* Exp 11/29 Code 029 Transaction Date 4-6-2025 ($105.99)Dear **************** Representative,I write today to request a refund of the $105.99 charged to my *************** Card as noted above.Many years ago, perhaps 5, I bought a computer at Staples and purchased McAfee security. When that subscription ended I did not renew. Nor have I ever had access to the software since that time.I attempted to resolve this issue with your chatbot to no avail. I tried to login to the site, but the system asked for my password, which I do not have. The system offered to send a new password, however the email potentially associated to the account ****************** is no longer active. I attempted to resolve the issue further by phone, but with my challenged hearing I was unable to understand or hear the persons instruction. I asked her if she could communicate with me via my email ********************* Her answer was unintelligible to me. Thus, here I am. Please, if need be, turn off auto renew, close account, and issue a refund to the subject bank of America card in an amount of $105.99.Enjoy you day,**** S. ******

    ON 04/09 ***** STARTED RUNNING POP *** ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY COMPUTER SAYING MY CUMPUTER HAD A VIRUS AND WAS GOING TO CRASH ALONG WITH MANY MORE WARNINGS. SAID THEY COULD FIX IT. I HAVE NOT HAD A ACCOUNT WITH THEM FOR OVER A YEAR SO DO NOT USE THEM DID NOT EVEN HAVE THEM ON MY COMPUTER THAT I KNOW OF. THOUGHT I HAD BETTER BUY AND DID BUT THEY DID NOT FIX COMPUTER OR DO ANYTHING. i CHECKED MY SEURITY BUT IT SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG.     On 3/17/25, I was charged for an auto renewal for McAfee virus protection in the amount of $158.99. I was not sent an email notifying me of my upcoming renewal, so I had no chance to cancel. I no longer use the computer I purchased protection for. When I called the company, I was told they could not refund my money. All they could do was turn off auto renewal, so I am paying for a service I cannot use. I would like to be refunded the amount of $158.99.

    McAfee is pushing out Bloatware on their app and wants you to constantly pay for other tools to fix these fake issues. I am frustrated due to the fact that you pay for a product to do a specific task and it is showing false pc performance issues and registry issues. I was informed to remove McAfee right away due to its bloatware it is pushing out. I paid for a two year subscription that goes to 2026 and they refuse to give even a partial refund. This seems to be a reoccurring issue with many subscribers to McAfee. I removed all McAfee products and turned off auto renewal so I am not charged for other services that McAfee is not appropriately handling.
