1 starI have had a wordpress.com site for 8 years. I gave my everything to it. I also monetized it, so it's part of my income and I have paid for the wordpress upgrade. My site suddenly crashed and took off my pictures, affiliate links, title, and more. Wordpress did NOTHING! They just wrote a one-liner telling me to put back the pictures for the 8 years of daily blogging I did. The site also is scrambled looking, so it's unreadable. Now, I have to start again elsewhere.Review fromBrian F

1 starNOT 2ND AMENDMENT FRIENDLY AND DO NOT SUPPORT THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. STAY AWAY. This company supports the worst engineers and customer service on the planet. There plugin JETPACK crashed my website. There support people are uneducated and dishonest. I dealt with these low lifes for 4 weeks with my website crashing multiple times and as a result loosing thousands of dollars. The last thing the tell me is this and i quote " . Unfortunately, in the course of wanting to help you with your site, we overlooked the fact that your site is selling firearms and ammunition, which is not allowed under our REMOVEDGuidelines. Therefore, the Jetpack products you have purchased will not be the right solution for you. I have cancelled these products and provided you a full refund for all of them. You may still be able to use WooCommerce products, provided you are a licensed firearms dealer. I will forward this message to my Woo colleagues so they can assist you with that. Once again, I'm very sorry for this oversight. I wish you the best with your website. AND THEN I GET THIS EMAIL FROM WOOCOMMERCE "Hi there, REMOVEDhere from WooCommerce.com. We'd like to verify your firearms license so that we can continue future support, and so that you can retain access to your subscriptions from WooCommerce.com. Would you please send us a copy of your firearms license/certificate as soon as possible? We'll be verifying the license once we receive it, and every six months after that to ensure it is still current. If we do not receive your license information within 28 days, we will not be able to continue providing support, so we will disconnect your site from WooCommerce.com and provide you with a prorated refund for the extensions that you've purchased from us. We'll follow up with a reminder in 7 days if we haven't heard back.REMOVEDHappiness Engineer"THIS IS AN ATTACK ON MY LAWFUL RAN BUSINESS THAT HAS A LICENSE FROM THE GOVERNMENT!Review fromNick S

1 starWordpress has extremely dishonest and shady practices that REMOVEDcustomers. When you sign up to user their service, it defaults to future Automatic Renewals. Out of nowhere, you are charged with a renewal fee that you might not want or need. In my case, the phone number associated with the charge is (REMOVED(phone number looks weird because BBB won't allow me to post "confidential information"). When you call that number you get a machine that says "just for calling today, you are entitled to a retail rebate of $100. Press 1 for more information, or you can hang up." You are then stuck having to try and deal with online support only where they are basically worthless and not at all helpful. Even as a customer, you have no option to speak with an actual person at Elementor. Absolutely awful company who doesn't care one bit about customers.WordPress.com

This review appears to be for Elementor, not WordPress.com. You will need to reach out to them directly for help with this charge.Review fromKristian N

1 starWordPress is set up with AI, all automatic communications, falsely advertising & charging for services that are NOT provided. Literally, everything they say you are paying for is not true, it's just a good or REMOVEDvideo collection that you have to spend hours trying to figure out how to use for help. WordPress customer service ignores you, dismisses you & just gives you the go around that they will get back to you. I have received ZERO of the services I paid for. The membership I paid for advertised that I could get my sight up in as short at 3 days. 3 months later I had to figure out how to design everything on my own through REMOVEDthat I completed it I am unable to launch my website. Literally, I as I was creating the website & facing challenges I used the WordPress help tools which kept saying that I had to upgrade to Premium membership or higher to get that service so I did & they have not only provided ZERO solutions but also keep telling I have to pay for the Premium membership, that I already paid for, to get the service! The same thing. Just a bot.THIS COMPANY HAS BECOME A SCAM Every time I reach out to customer service for help to figure out what the issue is, they give me an AI response or tell me their must be a glitch on my membership & will have someone reach out to me later, I wait & no one reaching out.EVERY SINGLE TIME. There is literally NO ONE to help. Every single thing I did I learned on my own through tutorials & the client I build the website for did not get the beautiful website I worked on for months.Review fromRahsaan H

1 starI paid for a one year premium subscription to have my domain and website hosted by wordpress. I recently attempted to log into my account only to find out that it was deleted. They say I requested the deletion however this is not true. I no longer have access to a live support person and I am not able to manage my website or domain. The only option I have to send emails to support which are responded to by a bot! My subscription doesnt expire until April of REMOVEDeven though I cannot access any of its services. I submitted my issue on the forum and there has been no response. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WORDPRESS FOR ANY SERVICE WHAT SO EVER. They have insulated themselves from assisting their customers and force you to pay for another subscription for any live help.
