Mind you, this was a FULFILLED order! What reason what I have to process a refund??? I document everything! The order was showing perfectly fine up until you all stole and processed the $677 refund! Mind you, before the refund was processed my account was -$500 for no reason, i contacted Wordpress about it, they couldnt figure out why and submitted a ticket for review. The next day, my account went from -$500 to processing a successful refund of $677?? And a payout of about $20-30. Months later yall still have yet made any sense which doesnt look good on your end!! I document everything!! I didnt refund her which my account shows!! Every refund Ive ever submitted is visible & accurate and REMOVEDis not listed. The order is not in the trash and never was. The order is simply nonexistent to cover your tracks! Simply putting the $677 back into my account is what needed to be done! Its clear I DIDNT authorize it. No dispute was filed. Just a mysterious refund. Now Im out of wig and money. And the customer has to be held responsible when she never filed a dispute??? First yall blamed me, then I proved I didnt do it, yall blamed plug ins(and have yet fixed anything by the way if that was the case, so that shows theres no issue with plug ins), now you saying its because I backed up my website???????? DO BETTER SCAMMING.Then y'all hold my funds for nearly a month after stealing $677 out my account AND when I finally start getting payouts again, yall changed my account from daily to weekly????? If im not getting paid how the fREMOVEDdo I fulfill orders OR pay bills?? Yall are the cause of the disputes! Putting a longer hold will only cause MORE disputes because of the longer wait times they did NOT sign up for!!! Wordpress, stripe, woo commerce I promise I wont give up on my $677 and the stress yall have put on my bills as well as business!HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE! Every issue that Im having has been caused by YOU ALL! And Im picking up the pieces!!

I am disputing the recurring monthly subscription charges beginning after April 2025. I originally intended to purchase only one month of service and did not realize the subscription continued to renew automatically. The account was associated with an email address that had been created for a one-time project and was no longer actively monitored, so I was unaware that the recurring charges were REMOVEDapproximately April 2025, I purchased what I intended to be a one-month WordPress.com plan for $43.64. I did not intend to continue paying for a monthly subscription beyond that initial month, and I was no longer using the service after that time. The account was associated with an email address that had been created for a one-time project and was no longer actively monitored. As a result, I did not realize the subscription continued to renew each month.I did not discover the recurring charges until June 2026. As soon as I became aware of them, I immediately canceled the subscription and contacted WordPress.com to request a refund for the months during which I was paying for a service I was not using.WordPress refunded only the most recent one or two monthly charges as a one-time exception but refused to refund the remaining recurring charges. I believe this is an unfair outcome given that I did not intend to maintain an ongoing subscription and received no benefit from the service after the initial month.I am requesting a refund of the monthly charges incurred after April 2025, totaling approximately $567.32 (13 monthly charges at $43.64, less any refunds already issued by WordPress). I have attempted to resolve this matter directly with the company but have been unable to reach a satisfactory resolution.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/01/2026

We understand the frustration of discovering unexpected recurring charges, and appreciate the opportunity to address this complaint.

We've attempted to locate a WordPress.com account associated with the email address on file for this complaint but were unable to find a matching account. The REMOVEDsubscription and charges referenced here may be tied to a different email address.

To investigate this matter further and review the billing history, we'd need one of the following:

      - The email address used to create the WordPress.com account
      - A transaction ID or receipt number from any of the charges
      - The last four digits of the payment method that was charged

Regarding our billing practices: WordPress.com subscriptions renew automatically by default, as outlined in our Terms of Service (REMOVED). Renewal receipts are sent to the account's email address after each charge, and customers can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through their account's Purchases page (REMOVED).

Our refund policy for monthly plans provides a 7-day refund window from each renewal date. Full details are available at REMOVED.

Once we're able to locate the correct account, we'll be happy to review the specifics and follow up.

I am filing this formal complaint against Automattic Inc. (WordPress.com) for egregious corporate negligence, anti-consumer business practices, and deliberate evasion of data privacy mandates. They are forcefully hosting an outdated personal website of mine (REMOVED) containing highly sensitive personal data. I am permanently locked out of managing this data because the account relies on a deactivated school email address that cannot be recovered.Automattic Inc. intentionally operates a deceptive support system designed to stonewall consumers. My repeated, urgent requests to delete this defunct site were met with a automated note claiming I reached the "wrong email," followed by a forced redirect to a generic, useless AI chatbot. They provide absolutely zero pathways for human verification or account closure for locked-out individuals. They are actively holding my digital footprint REMOVEDa California-based corporation, Automattic Inc.s refusal to provide a compliant method to delete personal data upon identity verification is a flagrant violation of state consumer privacy protections. I have already formally escalated this corporate stonewalling to the REMOVED's office.I demand that Automattic Inc. immediately bypass their broken automated loops, manually take down the website REMOVED, and completely purge all associated personal data from their servers.

      Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you have encountered. The situation you have described is genuinely frustrating, and your concerns are understandable.

I want to make sure you have accurate information so this can be directed to the right place. WordPress.com and REMOVEDare two entirely separate and independent companies. WordPress.com is a website hosting and building platform operated by Automattic. REMOVEDis a third-party page builder plugin developed and sold by a separate company, REMOVED. We have no ownership of, affiliation with, or control over REMOVED's products, pricing decisions, or support policies.

Because of this, we are not in a position to:

      - Refund any payments made to Elementor
      - Restore access to features that REMOVEDhas moved behind their paid tier
      - Modify or override Elementor's support access policies

For the specific issues you have raised, including the refund request, access to your content, and concerns about REMOVED's support tier restrictions, you will need to contact REMOVEDdirectly. You can reach their support team at REMOVEDand submit a formal complaint or refund request there. If you paid via credit card, you may also wish to contact your card provider to inquire about a chargeback.

What we can help with is anything related to your WordPress.com account or hosting. If there is anything on our end that would help you move forward, such as exporting your site content or exploring alternative page builders that work within WordPress.com, we are happy to assist. You can reach us directly at REMOVED

      Better Business Bureau:

Wordpress needs to make the contact information of their affiliates available. Elementor is not in BBB's system and even after paying for Pro, I had to submit a ticket through AI and then wait days for someone to email me back. I couldn't even access live support despite paying.

These people run a complete scam. I checked my payouts the other day after getting a few orders I had a little over $500 in my account under pending. When I went back to my account I had -500 under available funds & $35 under pending.I immediately went to check my disputes to see if I was missing something. There was no new disputes that could result in my account REMOVED. There was an issue with them closing a dispute may 4 when I had until may 6 to respond & I didnt respond because they told me they would charge me $500 via email, however they stated that email was an error and they were supposed to be rectifying the issue since their email resulted in my losing a dispute on an order I fulfilled and have proof of.. They also put a reserve hold on my money because of their mistake! That issue is still unanswered. Back to the main issue, Today, I went to check my payouts again and now it says $23 in my available balance and the charge pertaining to the -500 I had in my account yesterday is showing under payout overview when you click the payout it says they refunded a customer $677, mind you this customer is no longer showing in my order history but upon checking pirate, they package was delivered last Thursday there is no way on earth I would agree to make my account -677 if the order was fulfilled. I have proof of all of this starting from yesterday. I didnt even have 677 in my account it was just showing -500 so how did it go from -500 to refunding a customer $677?? With no valid explanation. I reached out to the customer she said she didnt file a dispute nor ask to be refunded. She loved her wigs. This is now taking from others that wanted their unit before Mothers Day because they wiped out my whole account. After doing my research it appears they forged a refund to take the money and this is a consistent issue with them. Im going to need that 677 put back into my account or Ill be takin this further due to not hating a valid explanation

      Hi there,

We've been in conversations via both live chat and email support on this topic, and our latest email is still pending a reply from you. Here is a summary of that message:

      Regarding the reserve:
The reserve on your account is not related to a $500 email error or any specific dispute outcome. As previously explained, the reserve was placed by REMOVED(our payments partner) because your account's dispute rate is currently at 7.32% significantly above the industry standard of 1%. This is a separate matter -- it does not relate to the dispute's response and outcome. The reserve means 25% of your earnings are temporarily held for 60 days before being released back to you. You can review how reserves work here: REMOVED

Regarding the $500 email and Order #REMOVED:
You were already compensated US$289.56 for Order #REMOVED, which you will see at Payments > Payouts in your Wordpress Admin tabs: REMOVED

Regarding the customer "refund" you inquired about:
The only order we were able to locate with a matching name was Order #REMOVED, but it has not been refunded. You should be able to see that under Payments > Transactions in your Wordpress Admin tabs: REMOVED

If you are referring to some other order number, please check the order notes of the order first to confirm which payment gateway was used for the specific transaction.
If it is WooPayments, please share screenshots of the order -- make sure you include the order details (such as Order Status etc) and its order notes.

Looking forward to more info via email or live chat!

      Complaint: 24821177

I am rejecting this response because:

You get reserve holds because of disputes correct?  the typo yall made via email pertaining to adding an additional $500 fee to my account if I responded to the dispute impacted my decision. Not only that you have yet addressed the fact that the dispute was closed 2 days early. Immediately after the dispute was closed I got an email saying funds will be held.

My account was -500+ with no valid explanation. i did assume it was from the dispute because I had just got notified of the decision when I noticed the negative balance.
I reached out immediately no one could figure out the $500 charge because I was already charged for the dispute when it was first opened. After days and countless encounters with your horrible customer service, my account went from the -$500 it previously showed under available balance and $35 under pending balance to a successful $23 payout which included a $677 refund and reserve hold.
Playing delusional wont work. U asking me for information I obviously dont have as im reaching out for the same answers
as you can see yall forged a refund for Jasmine to make sense of that previous $500 charge that somehow ended up being a $677 successful refund which makes 0 sense. How did the account go from being -500 to being able to complete a $677 refund ??

her order isnt showing under refunded which again, confirms it wasnt authorized by me.
I can no longer find this customer order # after yall forged the refund
the customer order was fulfilled so there would be no way I would agree to being -677 and out of product.
credit the account or close it because I wont be covering the balance.

But either way this will go to court if not rectified because as u just confirmed, it doesnt make sense as everything about the customer order just magically disappeared

      Sincerely,

      Unitsbylex Llc

I used REMOVEDto get the assistance of a contracted developer who did not complete the work which led me to notify the company in which they asked me to change my passwords prior to them investigating. Less than 12 hours later, my domain was deleted as well as my website stating on my email that I cannot get it back. I have been nonstop trying to reach out to WordPress to revert this as they should have seen that my email mustve been changed because I did not set up this request to delete these things. Im not getting any information back and have tried multiple ways of getting in contact

      Hello there,

Sorry to hear you've had issues with a contractor and are having trouble reaching us.

We certainly want to help. If an account has been closed, that may have made it hard to reach the usual customer team for active sites, but we want to get this fixed.

So, as we'll need to discuss account-sensitive private information, I've emailed you directly at the address we have on file. Can you reply to that?

If you haven't received that email within a few hours, feel free to reply here again with an email address we can reach you at.

      Looking forward to making contact.

April 14, 2026 1- I started my Blog website with wordpress.com 10 years ago.2- I bought the Premium package because it promised live chat Support. 3- Over the past few years, wordpress.com has graduated to using AI support, to the point now they promise live "Happiness Engineer Support, but all I get is AI support. 4- Wordpress.com no longer gives any access to live support only AI crazy- making, time-wasting, infuriating support. 5- E.g., All AI does is loop me in a round-REMOVEDcrazy-making routine that won't let me access my account, as of pretty much the past year!6- I haven't had time to work on this situation much. What little time I've had has been eaten up by AI taking me in a loop that won't let me get the Human support I need.7- My yearly wordpress.com Premium account is to renew in a few days, but I'm unable to get in to make changes to this Renewal charge, etc.8- My biggest complaint is I have no way to speak to a human: ?My two-step Authentication access was LOST when it was NOT transferred from my old iPhone to my new iPhone!Even the back-up Access Codes, the REMOVEDphone number, my password, and my email address all loop me back to the same old thing: my Authenticator App that no longer has my wordpress.com two-step Authenticator information on it!9- I now find Wordpress.com to be an unethical company that is making loads of money by no longer hiring live Tech-support! Instead, they use AI to handle everything while I lose money, time, my mind, and all the blogs I took years to write and post! I've basically lost my work and use of my wordpress.com website because I have NOT been able to get into my website for ages especially not since I bought my new iPhone on October 29, 2025, wherein the Apple Tech didnt transfer my wordpress.com access codes from my old authenticator app to my new iPhones Authenticator App!Thank you for your attention to this matter.

On Friday April 10th I received an email from REMOVEDof a payment and noticed it was for WordPress. Upon investigating I realized that was for a domain that I purchased a year ago. This domain has no website and has ever been used. The account for this domain shows no credit card on file, no purchases and most importantly: I RECEIVED NO EMAIL OF THIS UPCOMING PAYMENT. On the same day I was charged I send an email to WordPress requesting the full refund and was told, after a few emails that they could not take action as the email I was using to communicate with them was not on file. On Monday April 13th after sending an email that is in the account in question they said the receipt I provided was not the one they had on file - but when I sent it on Friday it seemed ok because no mention about it, I sent another REMOVEDreceipt and they now came up with another excuse to make this request even more frustrating! Every time I receive a reply it seems someone else answers and does not bother to read the enclosed emails that have been exchanged since Friday. I noticed I'm not the only one experiencing the same issue, shame on WordPress!

      Dear REMOVED,

Thank you for reaching out through the Better Business Bureau regarding your experience.

We want to confirm that a full refund of $109.00 was issued on April 21, 2026, for the automatic renewal charge from April 10, 2026. This refund covers both the plan and domain renewal in full.

We recognize that your refund request which you submitted the same day you were charged took far longer than it should have to resolve. The back-and-forth you experienced while trying to get this handled was not the level of service we strive to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this caused.

We also appreciate your feedback about renewal notification emails and receipt clarity. This is something we take seriously and have noted for our team.

If you have not yet seen the refund reflected in your REMOVEDaccount, please allow 510 business days from April 21 for the funds to appear. Should you have any further questions, you are welcome to contact us directly at REMOVED.

      Regards,
      WordPress.com Support

I am filing a complaint regarding WordPress.coms unfair billing practices. I was charged approximately $326 annually for about five years for an account that was created as a trial and was never active. The account had no published site, no content, no traffic, and no usage at any point. I did not knowingly consent to maintaining a paid subscription, nor was I reasonably notified that a trial account had converted into a long-term paid plan with automatic annual renewals.I never received clear, conspicuous reminder emails or billing notices that would have reasonably alerted me to ongoing renewals of a $300+ annual charge. This billing continued silently for years and was only discovered during a financial audit.Charging customers for years for an unused trial account without meaningful notice or transparency is unreasonable and deceptive. This practice relies on customer inattention rather than informed consent.Resolution requested:A full refund of all charges for this unused account Written confirmation that the account is permanently closed

      Hi there,

Im sorry for the unexpected charges, and I completely understand why you have made this complaint after discovering multiple years of charges for a service you werent actively using.

Based on what youve described, I suspect the core issue may be that the email address on file for the account isnt one you actively monitor. WordPress.com sends billing notifications and renewal reminders, and we also send receipts for successful charges. We also provide a clear, documented path to request refunds here: REMOVED

Those emails are sent to the email address associated with your account, so if that inbox isnt being monitored (or if messages are being filtered), its possible you wouldnt have seen our reminders.

Could you please confirm the email address currently associated with your account by logging in here: REMOVED

If needed, you can update it to an address you have access to so we can reliably communicate with you going forward.

Regarding automatic renewals: WordPress.com plans renew automatically by default to prevent service interruptions (for example, a site suddenly becoming unavailable to visitors without the owner realizing). That said, auto-renew is optional and can be turned off at any time. More details are here: REMOVED

At this point, it looks like auto-renew remained enabled and the renewal/receipt emails were not seen, which unfortunately led to several years of charges you did not intend to continue. Im truly sorry for the upset this has caused.

Next steps: I reviewed the account and can confirm the subscription is now cancelled, so no future charges will occur. Ive also sent an email to the address currently on filehowever, since Im concerned you may not see it, please update your account email address using the steps here: REMOVEDand then initiate a new support chat so we can continue assisting you directly through the correct contact.

If youd like to permanently close the account, you can do so here: REMOVED

Once you confirm the correct email address and were in contact with you via email, we can assist you further.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

      REMOVED
