Hello, I am writing to you in an attempt to resolve a dispute involving a company name Whyunified. This company uses your website hosting services to cheat customers. I signed up for one of their marketing plans at the beginning of this year. I was misled into signing up for marketing plan that would produce a successful online store in a timely manner.Having no direct affiliation with Whyunified.com does not absolve WooCommerce from guilt, or responsibility.WooCommerce is allowing this company to use their services to ******* innocent people. The longer WooCommerce takes to prevent this from happening the more damages this company will cause. Failure to take proper care in doing something like stopping this from happening to others is negligent. WooCommerce becomes an accomplice if it fails to stop Whyunified.com from running their schemes. I am urging you to do the right thing and put an end to their wrongdoings. Here's a list of some of the websites that are running schemes on the Wordpress platform. https://babycubwraps.com https://littlesproutswaddles.com https://littlebearswaddles.com https://smileyswaddles.com https://sunriseswaddles.com https://wonderlyswaddles.com https://blissfulswaddles.com It is my mission to bring justice, truth, and light to this darkness. Other alternatives will be considered if Wordpress chooses to favor their pockets and not to help innocent victims.

      Hello,

Thank you for sharing your feedback - I can only imagine the frustration you must be feeling when not receiving the service you paid for.

      > I am writing to you in an attempt to resolve a dispute involving a company name ***************************** uses your website hosting services to cheat customers.

Based on what you've written, I suspect there might have been a misunderstanding on how WooCommerce works. WooCommerce (https://woocommerce.com) is just the software used on a self-hosted WordPress-powered website (https://wordpress.org) to make eCommerce possible. In other words, WooCommerce.com didn't process the payments for your order, we do not host the site, and are not associated with the site where you purchased this service. The WooCommerce plugin is free and open-source. This means that anyone, anywhere in the world, can download it and use it to set up an eCommerce site without needing to contact us or ask for our permission (similar to how you would install an app on your computer).

Here's what I suspect is going on: You purchased a product from a website that uses the WooCommerce software but it wasn't clear that we have no connection to that business. Since WooCommerce as a plugin/company doesn't host or manage the orders for this site, you'd need to get in touch with the website where you purchased this service directly as it's not something that WooCommerce has any direct control over. We recommend that you visit the store and look for a Contact or Help page, or check the order confirmation email you received when placing the order, to get in touch with them so that you can find a solution to the situation.

In the event that theyre entirely unresponsive, the next step would be to get in touch with local authorities to investigate things further. You'll also want to reach out to your banking institution in the hopes of disputing the charge on your credit card. If you paid via PayPal, you could also get in touch with the PayPal support team (https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/home) to lodge a complaint against the seller.

Finally, we also have additional documentation on missing orders/refunds (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/built-with-woocommerce/) that provides more in-depth background information.

I hope this helps you in the right direction!

I am rejecting this response because: I will not go toe to toe with you on this serious matter and this will be my last attempt to deal with you here.

I think you are confused on how liability works. You provided the tool that this company is using to commit these activities. Even if this is just the software or plugin you are still responsible for providing the tool.  You are liable in the same manner that manufactures are liable for tools used to commit illicit acts. Does Whyunified.com pay you to use your software or plugin? It is safe to believe they pay you to use WooCommerce.

Having no connection to Whyunfied.com is not a valid defense to avoid accountability for providing the tool used in these heinous acts. Show the general consumer public that you value the right thing and prevent Whyunified.com from continuing their operations.

Quit running away from your duty and stand up for the right principles and virtues. If you do not fix this issue then other avenues will be considered to seek justice.

      Sincerely,

      **********************

      Hi there,

We understand how frustrating of an experience this must have been. I can also imagine how seeing WooCommerce being referenced on their site can cause additional concern. However, we have absolutely not affiliation with WhyUnified. We do not host their website and are completely separate from their service. That renders us unable to address the issues you've mentioned, as much as we'd love to see those fixed for you. The issues that you're experiencing, while truly unfortunate, would only be resolved by dealing with them directly. We hope this gets you in the right direction toward a resolution.

      All the very best.

I am rejecting this response because:

Not sure why WordPress is stuck on web hosting and no direct affiliation as valid defense. I've already explained my position and will no longer deal with them here as their response has no merit. Sincerely,

      **** Jes

WordPress does not have an agent who understood technical issues and could not solve my problem. There were so many technical issues and I did not get proper support and I could never get my website working. However, they refused to refund so I lost $180 which covers 1 year webhosting and support, which they did not provide at all.

      Hello ****,

Let me start by saying that I apologize for any stress the last few days have caused you. I reviewed your emails to us and the situation with your domain suspension.

Unfortunately, a domain suspension isn't something entirely in our control. ICANN requires that contact information for all registered domains be verified. This verification email would have been sent out once the domain transfer completed in April, well before the domain was suspended. That being said, we definitely could have responded more efficiently to your requests for assistance. I see that we sent a number of replies to your emails but they didn't quite provide the full assistance you needed.

I have checked your domain and it appears that the verification has now gone through. The verification email was being sent to a different email account than mentioned, and it seems you were able to find it. Your domain is working and the *** records for your email service are pointed back to GoDaddy as before.

I have flagged your experience for our review team, so we can provide feedback to our team and learn to be better. Hopefully this will prevent another interaction like this in the future.

At one point, you mentioned wanting to transfer the domain to another registrar. While we would be sad to go, we always want our customer's to find the best solution for them. I did want to give you a heads-up that since the domain was transferred to WordPress.com in April, it would not be able to be transferred to another registrar again until June. Like the domain suspension, the 60-day transfer lock is a requirement of ICANN, not something that we control. If you do decide to continue with the transfer, you can find the guide for how to complete it here: https://wordpress.com/support/transfer-domain-registration/

Thank you for letting us know about your experience, and I hope we can provide a better one in the future.
