I subscribed to Calm.com, but the app does not work on my phone. I'm unable to access most of the programs they offer. I spoke with a customer service rep that tried to make adjustments to my phone to no avail. Since I am unable to use the app, I'm requesting a full refund, but now no one will return my emails. Ruined credit I received a notice from *********** that my credit was-29 . Well, after explaining I have never use that card, it made me lie awake all night. Those numbers are the same as my house payment. When I called today, they said you guys have to straighten it out. I had purchased a year subscription gift certificate in the amount of $69.99, however their website told me that I would receive a confirmation email to my email address and it had my correct email address displayed. I never received anything after paying the $69.99, but the money was immediately taken from my bank account. I have sent their customer support multiple emails trying to get a solution to the issue and received nothing in return, there is no phone number to contact so the only way I'm able to attempt to contact customer support is via email. I would like to get a refund on the amount that I paid and I would also like to report this business for fraud as they have failed to provide the service/product that I have paid for.Initial Complaint

On 10/8/2023 I received a 2nd 7-day free trial of the Calm app to come back. After I accepted the trial I was immediately charged for a 1 year subscription which I did not want. I wanted to see had the app had any updates to make me want to come back. I called Apple immediately to let them know it was an error. Initially, I was told to contact the Developer of Calm. I did as instructed and contacted Calm CSR. The rep at Calm instructed me to go back to Apple because they couldn't refund me due to Apple's security. I then went back to Apple and filed a claim which was denied without asking for any additional documentation to show it was an error either on Apple's platform or the Calm app itself. I called and spoke with another Apple rep who was rude and pretty much tried to scold me as if I were a child. The rep told me I was not going to be refunded because it was a legitimate purchase. The only thing the rep said was to make sure I'm not charged next year. Rightfully frustrated because Apple was stealing $80 USD for an app I should have not been immediately charged for. Not willing to be robbed of $80 I called my bank and gave them the documentation and they ruled in my favor since apple nor **** wanted to deal with it. In retaliation, Apple blocked my account. I called and they removed one block but then blocked my debit card. I called Apple to find out why and was informed if I recanted the fraudulent charge and accepted the fee they would unblock my card. Calm and its reps are doing absolutely nothing even when you contact them.Initial Complaint

I was sent an email to purchase a lifetime subscription and was charged twice, a total of over $300 and I still do not have access to the application. There is no contact number for the business and all emails are being ignored. I do not understand how this company is allowed to charge for a service it does not provide without any legal repercussions.Initial Complaint

Signed up for free trial and then cancelled before the trial was over. I cancelled literally the next day after one use of the app being that it was not useful or novel in any way in my opinion. Opinions aside: 3 months later they started charging me $15 per month and this didnt show ** in my apple subscriptions for some reason. I only caught it after looking at my credit card transaction history. Very strange. I hope to be refunded by $30 and I hope this company reevaluates its practices.Initial Complaint

I was charged an unauthorized monthly renewal fee for $14.99 on September 25,2023 and also on October 25,2023 for an account I never subscribed to nor gave permission for them to charge my card. My had signed up for a free trial and didnt realize it was going to set me up for a yearly subscription afterwards. Well it did and it was like $75! I tried to get a refund through apple support once i realized i was charged this much, and it was denied due to calm denying to release the funds. I even tried to appeal the denial but apple told me calm.com refused to issue refund and they were unable to make them.Initial Complaint

I was interested in the trail but got stuck with a $60.00 account draw. I know I cancelled it but I still got charged. And I don't think I used the app once it just wasn't helpful to me. I requested a refund from apple but they said the purchase was ineligible. What purchase? They just took the money out of my account? Bad business practices from Apple and Calm.Initial Complaint

Received an email asking me to come back to calm for 7 more days for free redeemed email and when taking my card, it stated 0 dollars for total. After all was said and done, they charged me ***** right away. This is bait and switch. I would not have signed up for the 7 days if they were just going to charge me right away. Thats not free thats a scam.
