AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COST!! This is the worst site I have ever used. All they care about is making a buck. Their customer service is just plain awful and rude. If I could leave 0 stars or negative stars I would!! Use any other car auction site besides this one!

Though we cannot locate a BaT account based on the information provided in this review, we're sorry that you had such a poor experience with our auctions. We would love to discuss the details with you at ********************************

Bring a trailer cost me thousands in lost profit. I listed my car with them. They have an issue with their website where my car did not show up correctly in the search results. Since 50% of the time nobody could find the car on the website, it finished at a price well below market value. *** admitted the problem with their search function exists, but did nothing for me. To expect me to sell my car at a below market price because of a problem with their website is unreasonable. I did not complete this sale. When trying to sell the car on my own I continually was told by classic car dealers and private buyers that it was only worth so much because it ended for so little on ***. I eventually had to sell the car for less than market value, but more than the *** ending price because of what transpired with the listing on their website. They will probably post some excuse here as a follow up and say I didn't honor my commitment to sell and they banned me from their website. This is true. But I gave them a detailed explanation of the issue, multiple times, they admitted the issue exists, but did nothing about it. I had no other option, this was not my fault. I tried to post a comment on the listing comments explaining what happened and they deleted it. Before you list your car with them, know that this is the type of company you are dealing with. They expect you to lose money because of their admitted problem.

DO NOT USE BaT! Disappointed with Lack of Transparency and Accountability I had a disappointing experience with Bring a Trailer, and I feel compelled to share it to help others make informed decisions. When I submitted my vehicle for auction, I selected the ************ option but at no point during the process was I clearly informed that this choice would legally bind me to sell the vehicle regardless of the final bid. This was not communicated directly by the team, nor was it emphasized in any part of the submission or approval process. Instead, this critical information was buried deep in their FAQ section, which is far from sufficient when dealing with contractual obligations. When I raised my concerns and requested to remove the listing due to this lack of transparency, I was met with a dismissive response. Despite paying for the listing content, they attempted to criticize my use of that description elsewhere which is frustrating, considering it was content I paid for.BaT may pride itself on transparency, but in my experience, they failed to meet that standard where it mattered most. Their unwillingness to acknowledge any responsibility or offer a reasonable resolution says a lot about how they treat individual sellers. I would urge anyone considering listing a vehicle on their platform to proceed with caution and read every hidden detail before committing because BaT certainly wont go out of their way to make the obligations clear.

Have commented on BAT for a while both positive and negative comments as to the cars and their presentation. Always keeping it honest and accurate. Then a 'high end' seller complains that my comments are not helping those with 'high end' cars sell them. Bat then restricts my account and no longer allows me to comment, much less ever accept one of my offerings. They then remove one of my comments that had the most positive clicks of any on the auction because it wasn't complimentary of the car. All they need is 3 hits on the ' not constructive ' button and I think dealers collude to do that for one another if they find the comment unfavorable to them. The notion that Bat wants transparency is nonsense. They only want to provide a safe venue for those who provide them the most income. Started out as a great venue and has evolved to just another money machine for the **************

We welcome constructive criticism in our comment sections, which are intended for users to exchange information and ask pertinent questions of the seller. However, we do expect comments to be constructive, polite, and refrain from personal attacks or otherwise derogatory and valueless commentary. We continuously monitor comments and take steps to protect the fairness and transparency of our marketplace, regardless of whether that is coming from sellers, bidders, or any other customer. We also reserve the right to restrict the account of anyone who knowingly and purposely violates our terms of use or other site rules.

I paid for and used their transport service. ********* picked up the car (located 200 miles from me) on a Friday at 8:30am. He marked it as delivered to me at 12:50pm. The car was not delivered. ********* decided that he is now on vacation and will store MY car and bring it me Monday morning. Nevermind that I am in meetings Monday. This feels so fraudulent that Im considering reporting the car as stolen.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I bid and won an auction. The deal fell apart with seller when he wouldnt honor his agreement and refused to sell me the car. *** charged me $2,800 in auction fees after buyer said I backed out. Repeated attempts to speak with someone to explain the situation were denied and I only received canned email responses that didnt address my points, basically being ignored. I have also been lifetime banned from bidding as they took the seller side as fact. All requests for arbitration or a conversation with a person by phone were ignored. How are these guys still in business?

We take the commitment made by bidding very seriously, and bids are not contingent upon post-auction inspections. Our fees are non-refundable, and bidders who do not honor their commitments are typically banned from future bidding.

The seller was very nice till after I flew up to pay him and get the car. Then he became extremely hostile and wouldn't even let me start the car before I paid him. I was planning to drive the car home. But, when he wouldn't even let me start the car, I flew home and tried to cancel the deal with BAT. BAT took the seller's side and refused to give me my deposit and other fees back. Finally, months later my credit card company got my money back. DO NOT DO BUSISNESS THROUGH BAT. There is no provision to get your money back between inspection and winning bid and purchase if there is something hidden wrong with the car or the car is damaged during this in between time frame. Better to use a legit auction house that stands by the representations.

I was running a car on the site, i was asked to pull car out by a customer and take exterior pics outside of our showroom. When i proceeded to move the vehicle in order to re shoot the photos i noticed there was a mechanical issue with the vehicle. We are in ************* and cannot sell any car unless it meets the state lemon law so i asked to pull the vehicle in order for us to correct the problem and continue to run it in it proper condition. We did not want to sell a car knowing it had an issue, we also didn't want to sell a car through BAT with an issue in order for them to not get a bad rep. ***** explaining to BAT e cannot sell the car in its current condition and letting them know it would take several weeks they pressured me to sell the car. I let them know i would not deliver the car unless they allowed me to take it down and correct the issue. They proceeded to withdrawal my vehicle after repeated attempts to continue my auction. I had every intention of relisting with them as i have 6 cars submitted to run with them. They went ahead and shut my account down. I tried to do the right thing by not selling a car to an end user with issues. I have tried several times to contact someone via email, phone voicemail and comments and no one will ever call me back. They also owes us money for over a month on a vehicle sold on there site that didn't hit the reserve. all i ask is for someone to contact me in order to discuss they issue
