Worst place to use to auction you vehicle in my opinion. They don't protect the customer who gets attacked by potential buys who bad mouth you car but once you respond negatively to the people who bad mouth your car, they won't let you sell on their site anymore. This is exactly ?? what happened to me! I got a few negative comments and guys talking bad about my car but I returned the favor and once I did that and later tried to sell other cars, they declined my vehicles and 1st said they can't accept all vehicles blah blah blah then when I asked if there was a real reason to not sell my vehicle they replied that it was because I defended myself and talked smack right back at people putting my car down. Not happy at all with there open comment platform! Dont believe they police it well enough if at all . Commenter was alowed to make negative comments on condition of my vehicle with out any ******* or inspection ! I brought this to there attention and comments were not removed and Im positive it affected the outcome of my auction !

I spent an hour trying to list a vehicle for sale. When I pressed FINISH, it took me to a page indicating that information was missing. Any human with reasonable eyesight would say otherwise. Not knowing what to do, I hit the back arrow. It appears that the information that I used my time to input is gone.Calling to get help (during business hours) was another waste, since the voicemail says someone will get back to me in 3 days. Really? 3 days? Im supposed to sit and wait on your call as if it is the most important thing I have to do? The recorded phone message did give an e-mail address since the address is not easy to find on the websiteif it is there at all. Why are they hiding? Find a competitor with better customer service.

Bought a Jeep on Bring A Trailer May 20 2025. Seller was a total scam. Bring a trailer did no vetting of the seller or refused to look into them. I followed there instructions exacly. The seller was not in the ***. They where skipping titles. The seller was running a fake dealership from ********. I Paid for the vehicle in full. I did eventually get the vehicle, not at all as described. It does not even go down the road. The main problem is that it is now June 20th and I have no title. I can not sue or go after the seller because I don't even know who they are and the name supplied by bring a trailer is in a different country. I am shocked that a big site like this does not even get the ** from the seller. So now I am out $13,500 and Bring a Trailer says there is nothing they can do.

As we noted to you in our correspondence after your refusal to purchase the vehicle you won, the auction format inherently places an **** on the bidder to do their research and due diligence prior to bidding. Auctions are run for at least seven days to allow buyers time to conduct this research, and an open comment section and "contact seller" button are provided to enable bidders to ask questions of the seller. We also encourage bidders to conduct in-person inspections prior to bidding whenever possible. In short, bidders should use the tools available to them to ask questions and conduct research prior to bidding, not after the auction is over.

Scammed twice by sellers who fraudulently misrepresented their vehicles and there is no recourse while the seller gets off with a scam. Seller wins. BaT wins. Guess who loses. I purchased a vehicle that had a 'clean' fitle. Also, that the seller had paid for a title search. Imagine my surprise when mt state bounces the title back and says that it is 'rebuilt/ salvage' title and that I will have a rebuilt/salvage Texas title. I was curious so I did a quick title search and BINGO there it is right there, CA branded title. So there I am, stuck with a title that reduces the value of my vehicle. Also, seller sends several parts to me but I never get them. Seller used the wrong address, never told me when they were sent and didn't give a rat's a** about me getting screwed over. I posted a statement on BaT about my experienc what does BaT do but kick me off their platform. I did not state anything that was not true. I just wanted to leave a caveat for any potential BaT bidders that might happen to read my post. To anyone reading this review or considering bidding on BaT. Trust but verify! Do your own title search. Twice bitten on BaT vehicles. BaT gets their money but be aware that they will do nothing for the buyer.

We craft our listings based on the information provided to us by sellers, and our aim is always that they are as transparent and straightforward as possible. In the rare cases in which there are problems after a sale, our customer service team is happy to assist. Unfortunately, we were never aware of the issues you encountered with your previous auction wins, and we were forced to restrict your bidding privileges when you failed to purchase a vehicle you had won at auction.

Unfortunately similar experience as others. Misleading seller resulted in a purchase with undisclosed issues. Instead of Bring a Trailer helping arbitrate, I'm left seeking support from other 3rd party avenues. Would love a website that vets its sellers, allows reviews of sellers on the site to help better inform buyers, and an ability to submit legitimate claims against sellers when there are clear allegations of fraud.

BaT assembles our listings based on the information provided to us by sellers, and we expect them to be honest about the condition of the vehicle. There is always some risk in buying any used vehicle, though our customer service staff is happy to assist to the best of our ability.

There is a VERY GOOD CHANCE YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR BUYERS FEE. 1st off, you have NO BUYER PROTECTION, WHAT-SO-EVER! WHY? MANY sellers, MOSTELY DEALERS on here 80% LIE about the CONDITION of the vehicle. "EVERY SINGLE CAR ALL "5" I HAVE EVER BOUGHT FROM B.A.T. HAD UNDISCLOSED ISSUES! The 1st Car I won, a Porsche 944, the DISCRIPTION stated: FULL 100k ******************* DONE. I asked what exactly was done? Since it has an interference Engine, involves replacing the timing belt, water pump, tensioner and idlers. AND HE TOLD ME JUST THE TIMING BELT WAS DONE. So, I told seller I Cant go through with the deal! And trying to get my BUYERS FEE back was serious HEADACHE! Not only that, they wanted to KICK ME OFF THEIR PLATFORM. I was Like FOR what?? The sellers deceiving Description!? They were MAD AT ME?? They said they would give me 1 more chance! Wow, HOW KIND OF THEM! Then came The 2nd CAR ORDEAL! The car had a SERIOUS rear main seal leak! I'm not talking a little leak, I'm talking a SEVERE LEAK! It leaked out almost 1/2 QT of oil in the matter of 18 Mins. of idling! JUST TO REPLACE A $28 Rear Main SEAL I had to PULL THE ENGINE OUT! After I won the auction, I was emailed the Sellers info. I always ask & go through MY LIST of questions, if they are NOT listed in the description. While in conversation I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THE SELLER IF THE CAR HAD ANY LEAKS OF ANY-KIND. He told me IT DID NOT. THAT OBVIOUSLY WAS A LIE, apparently just like MOST of the ***************** on here. Then the 3rd Vehicle I purchased WAS A 1991 GMC SYCLONE, I PAID $40K FOR IT. AFTER THE PURCHASE, *** IMMEDIATELY TOOK $2K FOR THEIR BUYER FEE. I WAS TOLD BY THE SELLER "Dealer" THAT THE ***** WAS REPAINTED! I WAS LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS? YOU DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT IN YOUR DESCRIPTION! I SAID I CANNOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE PURCHASE. AFTER I CONTACTED B.A.T. & EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, BUT THEY STILL KICKED ME OFF THEIR WEBSITE, AND DID NOT REFUND MY $2,000. STAY AWAY!

A bid is considered a commitment to purchase and we expect all bidders to do their due diligence during the week-long auction period, prior to bidding. In the rare cases in which a vehicle is legitimately misrepresented, our customer service team is happy to assist.

AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COST!! This is the worst site I have ever used. All they care about is making a buck. Their customer service is just plain awful and rude. If I could leave 0 stars or negative stars I would!! Use any other car auction site besides this one!

Bring a trailer cost me thousands in lost profit. I listed my car with them. They have an issue with their website where my car did not show up correctly in the search results. Since 50% of the time nobody could find the car on the website, it finished at a price well below market value. *** admitted the problem with their search function exists, but did nothing for me. To expect me to sell my car at a below market price because of a problem with their website is unreasonable. I did not complete this sale. When trying to sell the car on my own I continually was told by classic car dealers and private buyers that it was only worth so much because it ended for so little on ***. I eventually had to sell the car for less than market value, but more than the *** ending price because of what transpired with the listing on their website. They will probably post some excuse here as a follow up and say I didn't honor my commitment to sell and they banned me from their website. This is true. But I gave them a detailed explanation of the issue, multiple times, they admitted the issue exists, but did nothing about it. I had no other option, this was not my fault. I tried to post a comment on the listing comments explaining what happened and they deleted it. Before you list your car with them, know that this is the type of company you are dealing with. They expect you to lose money because of their admitted problem.
