Tally ************ refuses to discuss decreased payment plan after extensively explaining my severe financial hardship. The email daily and reply with we will update your information but either do not, or the email responses are AI and not real people. Financial hardship, emergency food stamps and ********* The *** put a **** on my home and have agreed in writing that I am on a non-collectible status while the ongoing investigations continue regarding tax fraud and identity theft committed by a family member without my knowledge. I have Long Covid related seizures and neurological issues that prevent me from working as an RN. I have no disability or income for over a year and savings is gone. financially supported 100% by my parents. the daily harassment and lack if logical solutions is extremely sressful and creating more neurological issues.Initial Complaint

I am unable to pay my bill to Tally. I got a new checking account and therefore need to update my payment information - the account on file is no longer open. Their platform will only allow you to add a new bank account through a third party login system. My bank does not allow this. The app then prompts you to call to add an account. I called five times today. Two calls gave me a busy signal, the other three said nobody was available and disconnected the call. I called during business hours. I sent an email explaining the issue and all I received back were instructions on how to link my bank via their login system - even I explained that my bank will not allow this. In the email I was reminded that I still must pay on time and late fees may be levied. I cannot pay on time as they are not allowing me to add a payment method.Business Response

I enrolled in Tally's program to consolidate my credit card payments into one payment. I made every payment on time, and even threw in a little extra when I could. Tally abruptly canceled my agreement in January of 2024, saying their funding had been cut. But they were quick to point out that I still owed them money. So, instead of having one payment, I had to go back to making payments on my three credit cards, plus an "affordable" $290.00 monthly payment to Tally. I did that for a couple months, but I couldn't sustain it. I canceled my autopay with Tally so I could pay the others. Which Tally was supposed to do for me. I don't understand how this isn't a breach of contract. Now, Tally has filed this with credit reporting agencies, despite their shenanigans that caused the problem to begin with. It sounds like a Ponzi scheme, and I wonder how long before there is a class action suit against the company. I would gladly join.Business Response

I had been trying to secure a bank loan & was contacted by the loan officer informing me that in looking up my credit score info he saw that my Transunion score was 770, Equifax was 740 but the Experian score was 523 due to derogatory reports from 2 companies. I was surprised and upset as I am very financially responsible. One of the companies ************* was helpful in clearing up my dispute & informed me I'm not responsible for the fraudulent account in my name & they will report findings to Experian tho it may take up to 2 months for info to register on my experian report (I found out about derogatory reports on my Experian credit file on April 20, 2024) The other derogatory report was from Tally Technologies and they could not be more unhelpful. I called their customer service# and got an automated message saying their agents are not available today and the best way to reach them is by email www.meettally.com. I sent an email telling them I I got the derogatory report from experian saying I opened an acct with them in 2022 and I had not made any payments in last. 3 months and owed ********. I told them that I had never heard of Tally Technologies nor gotten any kind of loan from them nor had I ever gotten a bill, email or phone call in all this time, otherwise I would have called them to clear up this fraudulent issue. When a couple of days went by and I didn't hear from them I tried calling again and this time I got an agent named ***** who said I needed to get an Identity Theft Affidavit from the *** and an Identity theft report from my local police ***** I had to provide them with that documentation plus an ID and upon getting these docs they would notify me of their findings. Bottom line I went to police with *** affidavit, Experian report showing derogatory report from Tally but officer ****** of 34th Precinct said I need a statement from Tally saying I owe them that money. Tally won't comply with this request so I question their motives.Business Response

I received communication from Tally that the "investor who funded your account will no longer fund it" and they stopped paying all of the bills associated with the account. They still want several hundred dollars in predatory interest every month as a "minimum payment plan" but effectively stopped providing their service entirely. Prior to that, without any warning, my interest rate effectively doubled, probably stemming from the same issues. Tally sold themselves as a way to work toward financial freedom with a lower APR, a debt solution. Instead, they've become an albatross, and are a hardship that my budget cannot sustain. This behavior is terribly predatory and has caused damages to me financially as well as to my credit score. I've read the "contract" that Tally created in the initial sign up phase, and believe that this is a massive breech of contract. I've done research, and it appears that Tally has done this to a large swath of their users, who don't know what to do now. As Tally has terribly unfairly treated myself and others, I'd like the balances I have with them wiped clean. I'd also like any mention of them on any of my credit reports removed, or only reported as paid as agreed.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because I was sent a wall of text directly from the company that explains nothing except that they feel justified in their treatment of their customers. The contracts are conveniently and deliberately vague to allow for their shady business practices including their shifts in terms, viability, intention of actually delivering a service, and communication. As they have abdicated their responsibility to me, I am inclined to do the same to them.
