      I asked a veterinarian an emergency question and agreed to a one-time fee of $5. I was, without my knowledge, signed up for a monthly subscription of $55. I never intentionally agreed to this charge and I believe the website intentionally uses deceptive tactics to charge people this money. I noticed today that I had been charged $55 and looked back at my statements to discover this has been going on since July. I wish I had noticed earlier but I had a lot of things happening this summer. I believe this company deceived me and others into signing up for a membership that none of us would have agreed to if we had realized what was happening. I was not notified of any of these charges via email, despite receiving other emails from the company. When I tried to contact customer service, I was only able to access a chatbot. It took me several tries to even get it to give me a phone number to call, then when I called the number, it took multiple tries to get a hold of an actual human being, and once, the automated system actually HUNG UP ON ME. When I finally got hold of a human, they just told me I would only be refunded for the charge that hadn't gone through yet and that I was not eligible for refunds for the past two months. Since I believe these charges were made in a very deceptive manner, I would like a refund and for this business to be forced to change its sneaky tactics.

      On 9/12/25 I agreed to a one-time refundable $5.00 charge to submit a question to **************************. I asked to confirm there would be no add'l charges unless I agreed to it. I was told whatever pro contacted me would alert me if there would be any. The pro did not reveal any (advice: resolve matter on my own). I was alerted by my bank that I'd been billed $65, told they'd received many similar complaints about JA. After several calls JA reversed the charge; also unenrolled me as a "member" with a $65/mo recurring fee, which I'd not been told about nor agreed to. If my bank hadn't promptly contacted me, it would have been very difficult to correct. It will take 7-10 business days just to release the $65 I was billed. This all seems blatantly deceptive/misleading.

      I wanted to clarify that I have reached resolution with ************************** ($65 fee returned). My intent in submitting a complaint was to warn other consumers to be cautious in using the site, after finding them very deceptive about billing. I hope that's appropriate.

      This company started charging me $40 in August, $5 in August, and $40 in September without my knowledge or acceptance to use this company in any way. They send emails that state This looks like spam please report. With that, they are scamming senior citizens out of money.I had to stop my credit cards.I want my credit card refunded and this business acknowledge that I do not have an account with them

      I submitted a question on *************************** on Aug 27th about my cat. I believed he had a uti. The site connected me with a vet. He wasn't able to help me at all. But my issue isn't even so much with that even though if you're paying for services, you expect to receive them. My problem is with the fact that the site initially tells you there will be a "fully refundable " $5 charge before you are even connected with a expert. I was willing to pay $5. But then they charged me $60. I disputed the charge with my bank but they denied the claim due to lack of proof. It is practically impossible to get back to the place that say it will cost $5 once you have a membership. This company uses intentionally misleading words to get people who are looking for affordable help only to be scammed by them. When I reached out to them today, they first said the refund was issued and I should look for the email, maybe in the spam folder which speaks volumes in itself. No email was received and once they were told my bank couldn't refund the membership due to not having proof of the original price of $5, the refused to issue a refund. This site is very dishonest. Beware!

      I needed tech support and the product led me to this company. They asked for $5 to connect me with a technician. I was never connected and was charged $5 and an additional $50. I reached out to resolve it and was never allowed to contact anyone beyond a chat bot.

      My complaint is on the same lines as many on the BBB site.I required contact information for the *** nearest me. What popped up online was a screen with a chatbot asking what help I needed. It said I would be charged $5, fully refundable. I assumed this was a *** related help site so trusted it and gave my credit card information. Then I found I was charged $5 plus a $45 subscription for a service from JustAnswer. This was a devious scam. I call my credit card service to cancel the subscription but it had already gone through. I then called **************** at ********************** and requested a refund and cancellation of the subscription. The auto responder (another chatbot) confirmed my subscription cancellation and refund but did not reply to my question about how much of a refund I would get. I also received an e-mail confirming that my subscription had been cancelled but nothing about the refund. I'm hoping that JustAnswer fully refunds the $50. This is a dishonest way to get money.

      The Offer Details page explains the payment terms and that you are authorizing JustAnswer to automatically charge a subscription fee for each month of enrollment.       On September ******* I asked online company "Just Answer" a question, they said they could provide an answer but it would cost $5.00, I agreed to the $5.00 charge. They subsequently billed me $5.00 plus an additional $55.00 for "joining their membership" which I did not authorize, clearly a deceptive practice that should be reported to the *** as well. When I called them, they said 'there's nothing we can do" and refused to return my $55.00.

      I contacted a vendor about a charge to my credit card that I did not understand. Their chatbot sent me to another location - *******. That location asked for my credit card information (which the original vendor already had). I foolishly entered that information and agreed to pay a refundable fee of $5 for the response. The JustAsk bot told me I would get an answer shortly, which never came. Then I discovered that I was being billed $48 for a (monthly?) membership fee that I never authorized. I am working with my credit card company now to dispute this $48 charge. I tried calling the ******* company number and got a recording that my call could not be completed. I hope to disconnect completely from this fraudulent agency **** and get some of my money back.

      I had a problem with a Groupon and tried to get their customer service line. ******************** came up as their line for customer help. It said $5 so I paid that but didnt see any joining a membership and additional charges. This was back in July. $45 was charged to my AMEX on September 12th. I called to complain and they cancelled the membership but refused to refund the $45 charge. Since I did not sign up and authorize a subscription I want the $45 reversed from my credit card in addition to the cancellation.
