I have no record of even contacting this company much less joining it. I just realized they have been charging my credit card $37 a month since at least September 2022. (I charge a lot of things on this account so didn't notice til my credit card declined this month's charge! I tried to cancel, but they said I had to log into my account . When I tried to "log in" I did not have a user ID or password. I tried to call but only got a recording that I was either cancelled already or was not a member. No live person. I think this is a fraud and want ALL of my money back from this company!Business Response

I reached out for help. I never used just ask before and I'm thankful that they did point me in the right direction. However, to answer my question, it said to click here and pay only $5. Then someone how I was charged $51.00. I'm not happy at all. I don't think there was any fine print stating I would be charged $51.Business Response

I joined to ask an answer regarding my dog, the answer wasnt helpful at all and I endup going to the vet that sane day, I cancelled withing 5 minutes of joining, there membership states this One time joining fee amounting to $5 and then monthly membership fee of $35. my understanding is that after 30 days I will be charge $35, I cancelled 5 minutes after joining, called them but no help.Business Response

I was charged $39 for a service that was advertised to cost $5. I have seen many similar complaints about this false advertising by JustAnswer, they advertise that their services are only $5 for a quick question and answer and I was horrified and annoyed that I was charged $39. It was an emergency situation and they took advantage of my haste, although they advertised everywhere it was *only* $5.Business Response

On May 13, 2023 I paid a $5.00 fee to have a question answered as advertised on Just answer.com An individual did contact me and provide me assistance. JustAnswer proceeded to auto-deduct ***** for the month of May and June from my credit card. I did not agree to these charges or agree to any form of auto deduction from my credit card. I'm sure their clam will be that it was in the fine print, but this was a very deceptive scam. When I reached out to them, they agreed to cancel my "subscription" but not reimburse me the ****** they auto deducted from my account.Business Response

On June 15, 2023 I wanted information and help from a local lawyer. The first screen there site said that I had to pay $5 and if the lawyer couldn't help it was refundable. They were not able to help me. Then, I then received an email telling me that I was going to be charged an additional charge of $60 as my first monthly membership fee (I did not join the member ship and it was not stated clearly on the page) and they would continue every charging me every month. I tried to cancel my membership online and found at that a person had to pay a $20 dollar cancelation fee to cancel. At this point in time, I considered that this site was very misleading and predatory. I contacted the bank that held my card, disputed the fee, and I had to be issued a new card which made me spend hours updating my automatical charges from the card (like ulitilites and insurance), because of these B#$#@#$%@!Business Response

On June 10, 2023 Just Answer or their agent debited my personal checking account in the amount of USD55.00. The Transaction Code was: *********** ID was : ATM. The transaction time was : 22:41. Their *** site is confusing as it appeared to me that they only charged USD**** to provide their service. But they also charge USD55.00 in addition to the USD**** and this is not clearly and with certainty stated on their *** site. I was led to believe that they requested my banking information such as Master Card (debit card) numbers solely to debit my account USD **** but certainly not the USD55.00 they actually debited my account.I did not want to join Just Answer as an ongoing client and their *** site does not clearly state that USD55.00 will be debited from my account. The *** site is obviously designed to cause a visitor to their site confusion and uncertainty and result in deceitful efforts to capture any and all funds from an unsuspecting consumer. I reside in a senior citizen housing facility and that USD55.00 would have been used to pay my monthly rent. How I will claw back USD55 to pay my rent for July is a stressful and on-going question to me. I have received an Email from "JustAnswer Team wherein they state
that a full refund of $55.00 has been electronically transferred to my Credit Union
checking account.
This results via a formal complaint filed with the BBB this morning and the BBB
having sent the complaint to "JustAnswer".
It may take 3-5 days for my credit union to actually process the returned funds.
But I express my deep gratitude to the BBB for their efforts on my behalf.

JustAnswer.com advertised $5 questions which I agreed to one question. My account was charged another $46 on top of that that I never agreed to I would not pay $50 to have a simple question answered.
