      I'm filing a complaint against Just Answer for deceptive and predatory marketing practices. I purchased a trial offer on ****.23 advertised at $5. **** I saw I was charged a monthly fee $60. There was no notice I would be billed $60. I received an email on **** spoke of payment after completed. There was no pricing clarity or clear disclosure that I would pay more than $5. Accessed website via ****** search **** - separate landing page for legal issues. The only pricing text 'above the fold' (present on screen when you first load the page) states: "Join for $5." There is a prominent callout box on screen prompting users to ask a question - screenshot attached. There is no clear pricing information near box -it's at the bottom of the features list. This is deceptive marketing and predatory against consumers looking for legal help, possibly designed due to consumer urgency and unfamiliarity on legal issues. I followed up with **************** today - response below.To ask a question on our site, you must enroll in a JustAnswer membership. This enables you to ask any question, any time, in 150+ categories. Upon enrolling you agreed to the following charges: - One-time join fee: $5 - Monthly membership fee (recurring): $60. This covers your first question and any questions you may ask until the end of your membership.We apologize for the confusion regarding the charges. However, we are very upfront to our customers regarding the charges they will be getting before they agree to post their question on our website. It was stated on our billing information page, where you entered your billing information that you will be signing up for a membership. As we can see on your account that your question was successfully posted, that means that you also agreed to our terms and condition .       On 11/24/2022 I contacted JustAnswer with a question about condo rules. Their site said pay $2.00 for one-time question. When I approved to pay the $2.00 they advised there would be an automatic monthly fee of $86.00. I did not want to pay a monthly fee. They were not forthcoming about this fee. Not only did they never answer my question (see copy of my chat) they disconnected my chat after i accused them of scamming, I was also charged both for the $2.00 one-time question and the monthly fee of $86.00. I noticed there have been many complaints from other people about the same issue. I would have never asked a question to be charged $86.00!!

      I am rejecting this response because: although I was originally credited the $86.00 the credit card company has since re-charged my account the $86.00 on May 16. My credit card company advised me to contact you directly for credit issue. Thank you - see attached. If you need anything else let me know

      Called about RV awning. Didn't get any answers that were adequate as a solution. Not clear that this was some kind monthly subscription. So they charged me two months ($78) for nothing. They claim to be BBB certified.

      I wanted help with an app on my new iPad nd was somehow directed to this website. Asked for **** refundable fee so I said ok. Then saw I was charged ***** a month so i cancelled. I went no further asked for no help or received no help. I was sucked into this ! This company is. To upfront with the way it works. Im an 80 year old and I need this money back Ive already filed a fraud complaint with my credit card

      Used JustAnswer this morning, June 19, 2023 at about 6: 45 AM, and selected the one time fee of $5.00. Received an email after the call stating that the $5.00 fee has been waivedbecause you are a former member. You were charged the $40 membership fee. I have never been a member. I immediately called to cancel the membership and the $40.00 fee. Was told that they cannot cancel the membership and I will be charged the $40.00 fee. I believe that I have been scammed. I agreed to a $5.00 but not to a membership for a $40.00 fee. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

      I saw I would be charged $5.00 for asking just answer a question about my sick cat. I didn't get an answer. And when I tried to ask a question about it again, it started over again asking for the problem and wanting me to pay again. And when I checked, I was charged $5, plus ***** that was only supposed to be Charged after a trial. I canceled the account but feel I should be reimbursed. I cannot get anyone on the phone.

      I asked a question using just answer and was charged $35 on May 22, 2023. On June 23,2023 I was charged $30.I didnt sign up for or agree to any other services from them I would like a refund back for the $30 that they charged my account for.I called 2 times and was never connected to anyone. I used there automated online service to contact them and they responded by saying my membership is now canceled but I dont have a membership

      Having Bots posing as veterinary assistants and Supervisors should be a federal criminal offense if it isnt already. Their obviously misleading and dishonest service while touting ab "A" BBB Rating is something the BBB, The Public and government officials should be seriously concerned about.
