      On November 14th, 2023, I was dealing with a issue that was driving me crazy. Im a freshman in college, 3 hours away from home, so some stuff isnt that accessible. I found JustAnswer through ****** and gave it a shot. The chatbot told me that I just had to pay a one-time $5 fee to get one question answered like a sort of paid free trial. If you liked the service, then you enrolled in the membership to continue the service. So when I paid the $5, I had no idea that I was also going to be charged $46 for the membership. I immediately reached out to customer service to cancel and get a refund. They told me a traditional scammer sob story about not being able to give me a refund because of terms and conditions, even though I explained that I didnt want the membership and didnt know I was going to be charged for it. I paid $51 in total for a service that was marketed as being $5. I know they can give people refunds but for some reason, they choose not to. Instead, they change the membership cost and fee very frequently. Some people get scammed out of $60, and others $30. Maybe if youre upfront with people about what theyre paying for, this wouldnt be a problem. They are taking advantage of innocent people who don't have access to or money for certain services and profiting.

      I was having a problem with my ********* account. ******* transferred me to Just Answer for $1.00 fee. I agree and was charged $1.00 and $55.00. I never agreed to the $55.00 and never had my problem solved.

      I set up a membership with Just Answer on 2/27/23 for $30 per month. It was advertised as unlimited use at that time. It appears we used the antique appraisal service too much, so on 7/27/23 we were contacted about an Enterprise program that had unlimited use and we changed to this new program for $99/mo (this program had not been mentioned anywhere on their website at the time). I was assured that this truly was for unlimited use. In October, 2023 the credit card I was using for the membership was compromised, so I went online to update the new card with Just Answer. Since that time, I have not had access to my membership. I have sent numerous emails, chats and phone calls to get this corrected. They are telling me my credit card is not working (my bank verified the card is fine and that they see no attempt by Just Answer to process a charge. I even tried other credit cards and they were also declined). It appears for some reason they are blocking my account. We truly like working with the appraisers we have used through Just Answer for our small business, however, the company has arbitrarily changed their pricing and customers service has still not resolved the credit card issue. I have not been rude but I have told them they keep repeating the same fix that is not working and then they hang up on me. We are certainly willing to continue to pay the additional $99/mo. if we can just get the credit card issue resolved and our membership restored. This has definitely had a negative impact on our small business.

      The marketing on the website is misleading. It says Talk, text, or chat till you have your answer.Members get unlimited conversations 24/7, so you'll always have an Expert ready to help. I assumed this meant a private conversation. I sign to ask my question with a lawyer, and then it was published to a public forum with all of my private info. I had to immediately ask assistance to take it down, and delete all of my info. They then continue to charge me monthly without my knowledge for 7 months, with zero invoices, no emails, and no receipts.

      I was charged $30.00 a month for the last 7 months for a subscription that I never knowingly signed up for. No email for verification. Complete fraud. I finally discovered it and reported to my credit card company.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I asked only 1 question about my dishwasher and had no idea I was signing up for a subscription. I never received a monthly notice that my credit card was being charged. I was charged $30.00 for 7 months for something I never used. Ive read dozens of reviews on BBB where this company has done the same thing to othersover **** complaints. This is a scam and I want my $210 dollars returned immediately.

      I asked a question of the Just Answers site. after initial discussion within a chat window, I was asked to pay a $1 fee to get my question answered. I was prompted to pay with a credit card so that i could proceed with the conversation. I paid the $1 fee via credit card THEN. I was then notified that my credit card had been charged $1 and $33. I did not authorize a "monthly membership" fee of $33 a month and i did not authorize the initial $33. I only agreed to $1. I canceled immediately and requested a refund immediately. Online customer service would not refund my money. I never agree to a monthly membership or a $33 fee. I believe this to be a BAIT and switch scheme. I would like my $33 back. I agreed to pay $1 and do not want that refunded.

      date of transaction: 24th November 2023 I was lured on You Tube to ask question on real estate taxes.I clicked on the link and they asked me to pay $5.00 to ask questions to a qualified tax expert.I paid $5.00 and got a generic answer. I already had that answer.It said pay $60.00 for a phone call to a tax expert.This right away flagged as a scam to me.called the company and asked for my membership to be cancelled immediatey. The girl answering the call somewhere overseas could barely speak English but was very persistant and insisted i talk to an expert. i did not want an expert at that point and asked for my credit card to be refunded. will wait and see if my card is refunded

      My name is ******************* son of ******************* and I am writing on behalf of my mother who is 86 years old. She recently received a message from Just Answer, a company that she was not familiar with. She responed and asked what Just Answer was, and they charged her a dollar for that. The next day, she noticed a charge of $46.00 on her bank account from **********************. She was shocked and confused, as she did not sign up for any service or membership from them. It seems that Just Answer has a very vague and misleading way of presenting their Terms and Conditions, and they do not make it clear that by asking a question, you are agreeing to pay a monthly fee. This is very unfair and deceptive, especially for elderly people like my mother who have limited income and resources. She lives on Social Security and has a hard time paying her bills. She does not need to lose her money to a company that does not respect its customers or disclose its charges upfront. I request that Just Answer cancel my mother's membership immediately and refund her the $46.00 that they took from her without her consent.

      I contacted bell Canada and asked if I could restore a programme I deleted in error **** said couldnt br done So I ******d the question can I recover erased. Recorded programs and was directed to this site I asked the question and inferred they could help me and be charged $2 for a question I never had any intention to sign up for a subscription I asked the question and **** told me to contact bell I already did that thats why I reached out to this service I checked with my credit card and was charged $2 plus $40 For one question I then received a text saying thanking me for the positive response from there so called expert I contacted them and said I NEVER said I was satisfied ************ is a scam it inferstgey can help when you already know the answer from the company I cancelled my so called membership! I feel this search and application I downloaded is misleading I want my $40 back YES I will pay the $2 for an answer I already knew I told them this This whole process is misleading and should not be offered on a ****** search

      I asked a question on 9/27/23 on their website, and the fee to have the question answered was $5. I just now noticed that there were 2 additional charges for $60 which I did not authorize. Looking back on my account it states this is a "membership fee" but no where did I see or know I was signing up for a membership. I did not authorize them to charge my card 2x after the initial $5 charge. I had not clue about any membership as I haven't received any emails from them other than the one email about the initial question I asked.I contacted customer support on their website, and when I put my question of asking for a refund in their chat, suddenly it tells me I've lost connection and it will reconnect me with an agent "soon". Really??This is fraud to sign someone up for a membership without their knowledge... at the very least is bad business because I won't be returning for any of their services and in reading the reviews here I'm not the only one that was scammed by them.
