      In February, I paid a year's subscription for the Elevate app. Recently, my phone was stolen. When recovered, most apps had been removed. Reinstalled them, but the Elevate app. would not work unless I paid again. I called the number given on my CC statement. It was a ****** number & the recorded message directed me to go on line. I did this, explained the issue with Elevate, & was chatting with them - as I thought - when the chat directed me to complete the application form that had appeared on screen. It assured me the cost -$1 - was fully refundable. The form was for Just Answer, which I assumed was part of ******. I completed the form, even though the charge was now $55, because I understood it to be refundable & at that time, I needed to clear up the Elevate problem. I had asked for a phone call, but only a chat was offered. The person I was communicating with kept asking me the same question. I felt we were going nowhere, so I asked him to stop the chat.By this time I had received a communication from Just Answer claiming that I was a returning member, hence the charge of $55 which would not be refundable. I have neither memory nor records of such a *********** *** know that I would not have committed to a $55 monthly charge. I told them to cancel my *********** which they did & asked them for a refund. I have had no reply.The next day, I found that the chat person, had sent several e-mails after being asked to terminate.Meanwhile, I had managed to find my way to contacting Elevate & am working with them to resolve the issue.My complaint is with Just Answer & with ****** as their on line help system had allowed Just Answer to take over my original chat. I need the $55 refunded.

      I saw an add for an answer to legal question for $5.00 USD I agreed to that transaction I got charged that amount plus an additional $46.00 USD JustAnswer didn't mention a subscription fee on the page, or the links to download the app I cancelled the subscription as soon as I found out and deleted the app I want a refund for the $46.00 USD I used my email for the transaction.

      Transaction Date: 03/21/24 Amount of charges $55.00 The justanswer.com offer that I could ask one question online for $1.00 Then without my knowledge, a Membership agreement with a Fee of $55.00 was hidden and not readily disclosed either before or after hitting the enter button. In checking my Credit Card to make sure that only $1 was charged, I was shocked to find a $55.00 charge! I called JustAnswer immediately to dispute this $55.00 and the representative said ok, she would take that away. IT WAS NEVER TAKEN AWAY! And I told her that I NEVER agreed to any type of membership or even got an answer to my one question! I RECEIVED NOTHING FROM justanswer.com. However, Im being charged $55.00. I had to call JustAnswer two more times to make sure I was not being charged and to take away the what I perceived to be a Fraudulent charge.I contacted my ******************* to dispute this charge. The justanswer.com company provided the credit card company a copy of their ****************** which apparently agreed to a membership when paying for the $1.00. I however, NEVER knew about this agreement, NEVER received any such copy of the ******************! On April 02, 2024, I received an e-mail from ***************************, Vice President of ************** The e-mail stated that my Membership (that I had never agreed to) had now been Cancelled! However, I never received a Refund from justanswer.com!QUESTION: If I had joined a Membership, why didnt I ever get a Welcome ****** or Letter? I think that the longer the person doesnt know about this Membership, the longer they can be charged! Also, no Membership # or Order# was ever given to me! I only received a Cancellation ******. If this isnt Fraud, Im questioning what type of business doesnt notify you of a new Membership?ACCOUNT/ORDER/TRACKING NUMBER:No Account#, Order# or Tracking# was ever issued to me.       Thank you for your assistance today.  Attached is a copy of my Credit Card Transaction (Discover Card), that I have redacted all personal information.  The "reversed charge-back" is clearly shown with the original date of 03/17/24 and re-posted on 06/07/24 for a charge from JustAnswer.com in the amount of $55.00 that I wish to be refunded.  I never received any services from this company nor did I ever agree to a membership, acknowledgement for a membership like a welcome e-mail or letter or a copy of any Terms of Conditions.

      I haven't received my Refund as yet and will be watching for it to post to my Discover Credit Card Account.  Since this amount was taken from my Discover Credit Card Account, and not my Banking Account, as per your reference, I will expect this refund to have been directed to my Discover Credit Card Account.

      Your e-mail states that I could let you know if I needed further assistance and you would be happy to help.  In your e-mail you noted that "Furthermore, your recent membership charge was already refunded".  Please let me know the date of that transaction.  If that date was earlier than Jun 11, 2024, then I have waited the requested 3 to 5 business days and I would ask that you provide a copy of the Refund Transaction (Date of transaction, transaction#, where the transaction was directed, the Amount and any other pertinent information).  I will then contact my Discover ******************* on my end and inquire as to why it hasn't been posted to my Discover Credit Card Account.

      Although I am very appreciative of having justanswer.com Refund my $55.00, I'm aware that our communications may be made public and I wanted to make sure to relay my opinion of this situation.  As you have taken the opportunity to state your opinion of what transpired in your e-mail, I also will take this opportunity to make clear, my side of the accounting on this matter.  As I've already described, when coming to the justanswer.com site, there were NO outlined "Monthly Membership Fees of $55.00" to be automatically charged each month.  If this information was visible, I would have exited the site immediately!  If I had signed up for a Monthly Membership/Subscription, I never received any type of "Membership" Welcome letter or any type of Terms & Conditions agreement or a receipt of what I was being charged!  I Never received any type of services from your site and was Never e-mailed to set up a phone availability date to answer my question(s).  I never spoke to anyone with the exception of trying to make this whole situation STOP after I saw your charges appearing on my Discover Credit Card!

      I am rejecting this response because:  The Business states that they have already Refunded my $55.00 to my bank, which in this case would be the Discover Credit Card.  I have spoken to the Discover ******************* and they have confirmed that justanswer.com has Never made a Refund Payment of $55.00.  In contacting the Business by e-mail and by phone, they just keep saying that they didn't receive my documentation from the Discover ******************* that shows a Reversal of the temporary credit of $55.00.  I have sent it twice now with no resolve.  I have copied the BBB on all of my e-mails to this Business.

      Facts:  The justanswer.com Business automatically charged my Discover Credit Card $55.00 on 03/17/24.  I placed a Dispute on this charge with my Discover ******************* and they issued a temporary credit on my account for $55.00.  After justanswer.com produced a document claiming that I had agreed to a Terms & Condition agreement, Discover ******************* Reversed the temporary credit on my Discover Credit Card account.  Now my account shows that I owe $55.00 from the automatic charge that justanswer.com originally had placed on my Discover Credit Card.

      I have come to the Better Business Bureau for help because I never agreed to any type of $55.00 monthly Membership/Subscription or any type of Terms & Conditions.  In fact, I never received any type of services from this Business!  I Never received any type of Membership number, Welcome Letter as a new Member or any type of Receipt for the amount they automatically charged my Discover Credit Card.  The Business states that they have already refunded my Discover Credit Card but for an unknown reason to me, they will not provide a Transaction #, a Transaction Date, where the Transaction was deposited and the amount.

      Justanswer.com needs to retract or refund this charge to my Discover Credit Card account.  Reaching out to justanswer.com has not brought about a resolve to this matter.  I have attached the document that shows the reversal of the temporary credit on my Discover Credit Card what displays that I have a charge of $55.00 on my account that I never agreed to.  Any help from the BBB is greatly appreciated.

      I went to the justanswer.com website to ask an antique question. In chatting with the "assistant" I was told my question would cost $5 and that the fee was fully refundable. I agreed to this but was charged $35 which was actually a recurring monthly membership fee. I was never charged $5, but $35. Feeling totally scammed by this website.

      I went online, asked a question on ****** and was then directed to the website JustAnswer. It stated on the main page of the website it would cost $5 to ask a question. I thought this was a reasonable fee so I typed my question in the chat box that appeared. I have since checked my credit card and see a $60 charge from JustAnswer. I called their customer service and they tell me this is the monthly fee for the membership, which I most definately didn't sign up for, nor was I made aware of at the time I asked my question. I thought the only fee I was paying was a one time fee of $5. The person that answered my question also did no mention a membership or the $60 charge. Customer service told me it was a non-refundable fee. How can it be non-refundable when I didn't agree to the charge in the first place? This is a terrible way to try and attract people to a business and as far as I'm concerned, pretty unethical.

      On June 10 2024 chatted with **** of America on line with a question. Told me they would refer me to a representative would call me back about this. Then the page that came up on my computer told me to enter my credit card number and I would be charged $1.00 that would be refunded at the end of the call. Later I checked my bank account had 2 charges , one for the 1.00 and a second one for ***** for a membership. Nothing was mentioned about a membership fee. I emailed them to cancel it and refund me my money for the membership. responded back they would cancel but could not refund the *****. I think they owe me the ***** because it never mentioned I was signing up for anything.

      I was charged 46$ for just answer membership. I was never asked nor was there any terms and conditions to agree to the membership program. I did not know about the membership program. I had asked 1 question to the doctor for which I am charged 5$ and that was the only thing informed to me.

      I am a handicapped older woman with only an income from Social Security. I am in hospice care at home. My main connection with my family is my tablet. When my tablet became unable to use anymore, I contacted Amazon from whom the tablet was purchased. I have idea why, but Amazon rep sent me to justanswer.com. Big mistake. The website asked for one dollar. And when I told them Amazon had sent me, they seemed surprised and unable to help.me. Since I am also visually impaired I saw NO request for further payment. Then I received my credit card statement in May 2024 and was dismayed to see a $46 deduction from just answer. I contacted them SEVERAL times to stop he deduction and to return my money. They did not and now just answer has taken a June 2024 $46. The I use site is ambiguous and I wa.need my money back and a cancellation of just answers ill-gotten gains. Thank you

      They told me it was a$5 refundable charge yet they charged me $51 and did absolutely nothing for me no response at all
