This company has been taking out $60.00 from my ****** account without my authorization and I have tried to stop it several times through them and ****** and neither one will stop this payment. I did a stop payment through my bank but ****** says it is a reaccuring debt and I went on the justanswer sight and they had put a bogus ID and my info on it but says it had been cancelled but is still taking money out. I will be putting in a complaint for ****** also as they refuse to answer any of my calls or texts.Business Response

I was seeking legal information on line just answer came up under different name (I had this same exact experience with them a year). When the chat box appeared my first question was how much it was to ask question, explaining briefly my experience before, the response was $5. Mind you on first page it says $1, I was immediately sent o er to link for payment and did, as I desperately needed professional answer to a sensitive custody concern. My bank flagged it so I back off the site and did NOT ask a question nor complete a profile. Then I received an email a few hours later from my bank saying just answer charged me $55Business Response

I went online to cancel a SirusXM account. Not realizing that it was a Just Ask business that had their advertising mixed in with links to SirusXM. I chatted with a person or something and told they could transfer me to someone that can help. It asked for my Credit card info and I thought this was to refund my money. So I clicked on the enter button and then found out that it wasn't even SirusXM. My husband woke up and checked out bank account. 1. Even if I did make a mistake, a 1 month trial was only supposed to ***$1.0]They charged us $74.00 We got hit for the $1.00 trial. 2. Another $23.0 3. And another $46.00 j Fior a grand total of $70.00 I had no clue that I was not chatting with SirusXM. On July 24, 2024, I used JustAnswer.com to ask a veterinarian a question about my pet. All information I encountered indicated a one-time $5 charge for this service. To my surprise, my bank statement showed a $35 charge.I contacted JustAnswer via email, explaining I did not authorize the $35 fee. They responded by cancelling my membership but refused a refund.Their justification for the non-refundable fee was a screenshot of an empty payment screen dated July 2021 (not July 2024) mentioning a membership fee. This information was not clear or presented prominently during the sign-up process on July 24th, 2024.Furthermore, my husband encountered the same issue. I Contacted Just answer by phone August 18 of this year. They assured me that my subscription was canceled. Yet they help themselves to money from my Apple Cash card today.I never intended any kind of subscription. I use their service once when I was referred by AppleCare. Misled by JustAnswer.com. Told that for five dollars they would answer my question but didnt know I was getting signed up for a 55 dollar a month subscription. Agreed to pay first month after the fact and thought it was canceled, new charge on the 24th of Aug. Chatted with them online on Aug. 26th where they told me that it was in the agreement and thats all they had to say and ended the chat. I signed up with JustAnswer in late July, thinking that this was a one-off payment. I used their service just once, to communicate with an immigration lawyer. Their website does not explain clearly that it si a recurring payment. I never used their service since then, and I found that a payment of $57.00 was deducted from my credit card acoount one month later. I canceled my membership and reached out to their customer service to request a refund. They claim that they do not see my email address in their file, which is rediculous. Sunday I searched ****** regarding questions on my sheltie dog and this website came up just answer.com and it said it can answer the question for $5 and speak with a veterinarian and I said what the heck let's try it so I spoke with the lady she was in ********** and gave me information regarding my pet Monday I get a charge a $5 and another charge of $29,99, which I was told that it is a contract monthly subscription fee which I never signed up gave him no information and or authorized them to Bill me more than $5 this is theft by deception where they get people to call in offer them advice for $5 and then charge them $5 plus a subscription fee of $29.99 this is illegal especially in the state of **** and I plan on also filing this with my attorney general not only in the state of **** but in the state of ********** I gave them 24 hours to refund all money The $5 and the $29.99 that was charged to my account this is not the only time they've done this they've done this the more people I've been reading out there on the internet and this needs to be shut down this is illegal... I went to JustAnswer.com to ask question. I was given with screen displays by the chat person it would be $5. I entered my card info and noticed $5+$57 charged for subscription. ************* chat said it was on the website where I put in the card info. However, when someone is in a state where they are seeking help, they are going to take the initial report that it is $5 to ask a question. I asked for a refund. They refused. This complain is not they pretend like only $5 and then charged additional fee and then they refuse to refund.
