I am paying for the ChatGPT Plus subscription and am not receiving service or responses from OpenAI the company that owns ChatGPT. I have tried to reach out via email, chatbot, and discord. They are non-responsive, and others are complaining about the same issue - paying for the Plus subscription and not receiving it. Please help me to resolve this issue in a timely manner. As there is now place to Cancel the subscription on their website 'chat.open.ai' as per their instructions. Dear BBB,I am writing to report a serious issue with OpenAI, a company that provides access to GPT-4, a language processing AI software. On April 2nd, 2023, I was charged four times for a subscription to access GPT-4, all on the same day. However, when I tried to access the service, I received a message saying that the service is paused and unavailable. The total amount charged was $85.12, which is significantly more than the normal monthly charge of $21.28.As a paid member, I should have access to the service, but the website is saying that the service is paused and unavailable. I have tried to contact OpenAI multiple times, but my emails have gone unanswered, and I have received no communication from the company. This situation has caused a significant financial burden on my business, as the unauthorized charges have tied up my funds, and the company has been unresponsive to my attempts to resolve the issue.I am seeking remediation for the damages caused by the unauthorized charges, as well as the inability to access the service after being charged four times. I have had to spend countless hours trying to resolve the issue with OpenAI, which has taken valuable time away from running my business. Additionally, my business is continuing to lose money with the hold on my account due to these overcharges. The unauthorized charges have caused significant harm to my business operations, and I am requesting compensation for the financial loss, as well as the time and resources spent trying to resolve the issue. I am seeking a total of $3,000 in damages, which includes the unauthorized charges, the time spent trying to resolve the issue, and the harm to my business operations.I have sent multiple emails to OpenAI regarding this issue, but unfortunately, all my emails have been ignored. Despite my attempts to reach out to the company, I have not received any communication from OpenAI. Sincerely,******************************, LLCInitial Complaint

This company charged my husbands card in March and now April for a subscription we did not sign up for. They charged it $20 twice. We have never heard of this company. We never subscribed to their product. They wont answer the phone or respond to emails. This is fraud. They have no other way to contact them. Theres no way to get our money back. Beware. People should not get away with fraud.Customer Answer

OpenAI has not responded to those emails. The March 12 email was about my being unable to create an account with OpenAI because I do not have a mobile phone that can accept text messages. The March 23 email was an announcement that I was opting out of the requirement for settling disputes with OpenAI by means of arbitration.Initial Complaint

I can't log into my account. I can't reset my password. I tried making a new account and it won't let me do that either. It gave me an error message that implies that I may have an unsupported device. So I'm supposed to "fix" the problem by buying a new computer. So I can end up spending X amount of dollars to use it finally. This is ridiculous.Initial Complaint

OpenAI has a product called ChatGPT plus which I subscribed to for $20/month. On March 27th, the credit card transaction apparently failed and I was downgraded to basic ChatGPT.There was nothing wrong with my credit card information as I reentered the same information again and the invoice was paid. However, inspite of the invoice showing that I paid for the service, my ChatGPT plus service has not been restored.I have tried many things like logging out, restarting the computer, waiting for hours in case they need to do some updates etc. but to no avail. The worst part is they do not have any customer service and even trying to reach them via ******* failed. There is no number or email for service, how is this possible?Where is the little guy supposed to go?Initial Complaint

On 3/20/2023, I attempted to sign up for openAI's chatGPT plus subscription ($20/mo). At first, I was shown another user's financial information and address. When I refreshed the page, my own information was populated from my ****** account. I went ahead and signed up through Apple Pay. On 3/24/2023, I went to deactivate the subscription so that I would not be charged another 20 in April. However, when I go to cancel, their website tells me I have no billing information (despite being told I do when I encounter the prompt). There is no way to speak to anyone that isn't a bot through their website. I have joined a discord chat dedicated to openAI where several other users complain of the same thing, and that they have been charged twice. OpenAI just released an email this morning that user data was leaked and I worry that I am going to be charged multiple times. I dont need a refund for my 3/20/2023 purchase, I just want to successfully cancel my subscription and not be charged again. I also have a letter of receipt showing the subscription purchase in case it's necessary.Initial Complaint

Unauthorized subscription charges for chat GPT subscription and was actually charged twice cannot get a hold of an actual person or even get my actual question asked to them because it's like a chat bot or something that does all of their messagesInitial Complaint

Hi. Over the past week ChatGPT has had at least three outages with the history. Im a pro subscriber. *** attempted to email the company about a past issue and never received a reply hence trying this avenue. Will you be providing partial refunds to subscribers for the days that your service is out considering its a pretty essential function of this application? I get that its new and growing pains, etc. But you also have a ton of paying customers who are paying for something that is not properly functioning. Thank you for your time in this matter.Initial Complaint

Hello, I am unable to access my ChatGPT Plus account. In other words, I am unable to log on, and I am also unable to log off. I have attached receipts that verify that my Discover card has been charged for ChatGPT Plus access. I have tried all of the suggestion in the ************ e.g., clearing my cache, using a different browser, but none of the suggestions in *********** have worked. I have also tried calling and leaving a message as well as using the Chat bubble, but to no avail no one has responded to my problem. In fact, I even had to sign up for another ChatGPT account just to use the chat bubble. I was hoping not to have to file this complaint, but this is the only alternative I see to resolving my issue. With many thanks, *********************
