This complaint is being filed because I was falsely suspended by Discord off their platform. I haven't done anything wrong, and I believe my suspension should be lifted and my account reinstated. I am rejecting this response because: This is the same response I was given on multiple tickets of mine and shows how lazy the support team is (if this is even a real person replying to me) and as you can see I was given the same answer a year ago but instead it said temporarily disabled after I had reported my account hacked and taken but received no support on it instead I had to find a way to recover my account and thankfully fix the damage done to it as I've commented on my recent ticket I will be writing a formal dispute and if that fails to support me we'll be moving to arbitration.

First, I want to tell you what happened and attach some images to clarify the situation.
It was August 24, 2025, before the Discord policy update (August 29). I was scrolling through my phone gallery looking for demo tracks of a musician we were discussing with friends and came across an old meme, took a screenshot and sent it to my friends (a screenshot because the video was over 10 MB). I immediately received the first warning for "child safety", I told my friends about it, forwarded this warning to the general chat and we continued listening to music. A few minutes later, another friend came in and asked about what had happened and who was in the photo, I wrote the name of this boy from the meme "******" a couple of times and the third time I wrote this name in an affectionate form and got an account ban. We communicate in russian, it also has a diminutive form of words and Discord considered my "Syomochka" a violation and gave me a permanent block (this last message was at 12:19 AM, I received a notification by email at that moment). I wrote to support, but as expected, they simply sent me an automatic response that my appeal request was rejected.
I am rejecting this response because:
1) The concept of "child safety" is very vague. "Child safety" is the reason why Discord has been issuing bans for random things lately. People are getting permanent bans for some song lyrics, emojis embedded in Discord, completely harmless messages, and even some gifs. I saw a complaint from another user about a ban for a gif of ***** Idol performing on stage, he just had his shirt unbuttoned and his bare torso was visible, which is a bit like my situation.
2) Discord uses AI for automatic moderation, and it is prone to mistakes, as Discord itself states. I do not agree that the image I sent is sexualized or exploitative of children. It is just a face, just a meme that I downloaded from TikTok, it can even be easily found on ******** if it were not safe it would have been deleted long ago, here is a link to it - *******************************************
3) Child safety. There are no children on my discord server, I personally know every member of my small community, the youngest among them is currently 20 years old, and all chats on the server are all marked nsfw-content and are inaccessible to people under 18. My actions could not harm a child.
I think this is just a big betrayal, Discord just caved in to the UK law and doesn't want to do its job well, just to avoid a fine. They don't care about users, they block everyone indiscriminately and don't try to help the victims of their AI, they only pay attention to complaints from users who bought a Nitro subscription.
I used Discord for 7 years, during all this time I only received one single warning (for joining a server where a person I barely knew invited me, the server turned out to be an intolerant community), I followed the rules, had many acquaintances and communities.
I can agree that the image of the child I sent may be inappropriate, since ******* limits comments on videos of this boy, but I do not agree that I was permanently blocked for simply writing this boy's name in a diminutive form. I often use diminutives in my everyday speech, my mom calls me that. I think they would have banned my mom for "child safety" if she had used Discord to contact me. Do you think that is fair?
I hope you make them understand the situation better, I am very upset that they treated me like this and took away part of my life, I miss my friends.

My Discord account was recently disabled for an alleged violation of child safety policies. I want to clarify that I have never engaged in inappropriate behavior toward minors on the platform. The issue stems from an accidental action: I unintentionally forwarded an image that I had actually intended to report. As soon as I realized my mistake, I promptly reported the image through the proper channels.Despite this, my account was suspended without giving me the chance to explain the situation.
