1 starBeware and do not get involved with this company. They are incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, deceptive, and degrading to workers. One project promised $120/hour only to later discover (after doing a bunch of work of course) it was per media hour so the actual rate was something like $10/hour. Another project said it was paid on completion, but it brought folks on for about 5 days, got several hours of work from us, and then said the client cancelled the project. However, the Slack channel just before we were dropped welcomed a new set of folks. After weeks of following up with support on the 10 hours I should have been paid for, they changed the definition of "on completion" to approved, which couldn't have happened because the project was supposedly cancelled by the client. I had one project where I was regularly paid well for three months, but even that one had problems. People were randomly dropped from the project without explanation, but somehow still on the Slack channels where they would show up legitimately asking what happened and were ignored or given a vague answer that they were dropped for one of the published reasons without being given a chance to appeal. The people that do respond on Slack are usually reviewers who are smart and kind but they have no insight into the company policies. Companies like this are exploitative and I stuck around long enough to learn what they are about. I'm still on the fence about the value/usefulness of AI itself, but I can say with certainty that the folks building and training it do not represent basic human values.Review fromJavier S

1 starI, like thousands of other people, had signed a 1099 Vendor Agreement with a company called "Alignerr | Powered by Labelbox" to do remote A.I. training work, which is called "Labeling" . Once you're approved and you've signed your agreement with them, they will assign you to a project. Alignerr is supposed to pay you an hourly wage but that wage is based only on the time you've spent Labeling. You might spend 20 hours of time working on Labeling these random sentences they send you but you may only accumulate 10 hours of Labeling Time during that 20 hour period. For example, Alignerr | Powered by Labelbox - will State that their pay rate will be $241.21 /hour of actual time spent Labeling. In Labelbox ( which is the software application they use with their vendors/ 1099 Employees) it tracks your total time working and it tracks your time spent just labeling / recording. So if you work 20 hours but you only get 10 hours of actual labeling time, you'd expect to be compensated around $2,400. However, that's when Tap Dancing starts at Alignerr. They'll then tell you that each Data Row that you do, has to be fully approved before they pay you, so you wait and wait. Paydays are supposed to be every Friday but out of the blue, they randomly send you $31 on Tuesday with a memo that is all coded garbage which is never fully explained to you. At the very bottom of the memo, it will show that this deposit is for 52min of Labeling time. Well, ok, where is the rest of my paycheck? So, you assume that youll be compensated on a Friday, but Friday comes and goes and there is never a paycheck. You can try and email their support department, which is nothing more than just an AI Bot that NEVER answers your question directly. I received 0.17% of the Labeling time wage I was promised and It has been several weeks, still waiting for their support department to answer my questions. REMOVEDof this company as youll never receive payment for your time and hard work!Review fromAhmed E

1 starA very unprofessional and weird AI platform, notorious for non-payment after the trainers submit the task. I hope I have heard that before working on a project for almost 1 week. After clear approval and statement from a team member who wrote, (Good work. Approved!), I have been demanding and asking for the payment that was deserved on Feb 6th (almost 1 month delay)!. The shocking point that whatever the inquiry or emails (I have already sent many let alone the proofs and screenshots of the work and the acceptance), they always keep saying wait for the billing REMOVEDto evaluate. Till now payment are not given. Very bad platform!Review fromJabari H

1 starI started working here recently and was brought on to the rainforest project. i put in about 9 hours of work before I was kicked out of a Discord to the project. The project was allegedly on pause but I was asked to do rework which I did not have access to. This was a form of gaslighting. I was paid way less than what was told to me. It's also disorganized with no reach out from employers. They also encouraged a $200 bonus in a raffle if you put in 3 hours of work. The payrate in Labelbox kept fluctuating to a high number to give off the idea it's glitching out. I just believe that they took a REMOVEDand scamming people looking for work. And the discord chats within the servers, which they strangely give you multiples of that mostly are dead, I believe are filled with scammers and bots to have you thinking you're in a legit working environment to lower your guard. Doesn't matter if you use Hubstaff. They can opt it out and have you working per label behind your back, so you get pennies.
