1 starI would give zero stars if possible. Terrible payment processor for Rent Manager. It takes 4-6 days to process a payment, almost cost me clients. I had to switch management software because of their terrible business practices. Rent Manager let me out of my contract for failure to meet expectations but **** wants to charge a cancellation fee even though they failed to perform. They refuse to let you talk to a manager or even stop to listen to your reason for not processing payments through them. I would 1000% recommend you not use Rent Manager as a property manager for the simple reason they use Zego for payment processing. You will be extremely disappointed, unless you are used to managing properties like a caveman. Zego should be ashamed of its tactics.Review fromB. S

1 starThe apartments where I live use Zego for auto-payments. Over the past two years, it has failed to work properly at least six times. Each time it fails, ******** Company charges me an additional $181.30. This is unacceptable. Consumers should not have to pay fees because of a faulty system.I am writing this to inform other companies and consumers about the issues with ****'s auto-payment system. If your facility uses this service, be aware that these significant errors can occur. Despite my good history with ******** Company, my attempts to have the fees removed have been unsuccessful.Zego A Global Payments Company

1 starI ******************* if you can go pay your rent online be in control of your own money there is a button that comes up and ask you do you want to save your card and set up recurring payment I will gently say no because if you allow them to save your card then these people can go in and get another payment at that point if you do not recognize that payment then you can file a dispute I will do my very best not to ever let them save my card once I have paid rent I go back right away and delete my card because if they get a second payment they would make up a thousand lies and you will not see that money back on your card they sent me a 30 day notice saying I did not pay rent and wanted me to pay rent for a second time and if I had to do that they would probable erase the fist payment and kept the second payment in there pockets I talked to 2 of the office lady and explain to them what happen 1 said disregard that letter and the other one said the put the payment in late.DO it due anygood putting out a monthly calendar because you still have stupid dump people sill slamming doors and I belive the front office encouraging the hillbillies to continue to slam these doors especially where I live on the 5th floor I don't know if they have camera to be picking on people especially black peoples I was at the vending machine this white lady came out the office looking at me and start pointing at her skin on her arm but me being the smart person and she being a dumb stupid **** I just ignoredZego A Global Payments Company

Hi *****!Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your feedback, however, these grievances seem better directed towards your property, as Zego is the payment processor for your management company. We are not involved with any of the day to day operations of the property, so any onsite issues would be best brought up to your management company, or the property directly. Should you have any questions or issues about processing payments though, we would be more than happy to help out in any way possible. Should that ever be the case, you can contact our support team at ************ or open a support ticket by visiting ******************************************************** Regards,The Zego TeamReview fromAnn C

1 starI moved in a 55+ community and the my first payment for my *** was due on 01 Jan ****, two payment was taken out of my acct for $1263.90 only $631.95 was to come out. The *** here you pay every 3 month which is ****** and a fee if $1.95 to the processing company Zego. When I told them about what happen they said they would remove one of the direct deposit, it seems 2 was put in, which they claim I did, which I did not. After calling back about my return money I was told that both the direct deposit request was removed than the customer service person put it in again. I looked at my banking acct today and **** had taken again $631.95 when I had paid for 3 month payment of $631.95 and my next payment was due 01 Apr ****. This is the worst company, good luck to anyone that had to use them because your *** assigned them to take your payment. I am cancelling all transaction with them to deal with my payments.Zego A Global Payments Company

1 starHorrible company. They charge way too much. And they put an add on top of the make payment button. It is to confuse people and take more of their money. I click make payment and am taken to purchase their bs product. Then I go back and try again. And again. And again. *** lived in my apartment for two years and its been this way since the beginning. MOVE THE ADD OFF OF THE MAKE PAYMENT BUTTON!!! Its gross.Zego A Global Payments Company

Hello ********, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. As a third-party payment processing company, Zego works with each property management company individually to set up their fee structure and payment method options for their residents. Typically, there is a flat fee for e-check transactions and a percentage-based fee for credit and debit card transactions. It is up to each property management company whether they will incur or pass along the processing fees to their residents. Our fees are industry standard, and our service is optional. Regarding the advertisement, there is nothing that we can see that impacts the ability to make a payment. From your summary page, there is an ad tile showcasing a service offered by our partnership with levelcredit. This ad-on service is completely optional, and displayed in a way to avoid one from electing to use the service by mistake. If you continue to run into issues when attempting to submit a one-time payment, we would recommend giving us a call at ************, or open a support case at ******************************************************* Warm regards, The Zego TeamReview fromAshley Cary C

1 starI have been a customer of Rent Track which was bought out by Pay Lease and now is owned by Zego for like 6 years. Apparently, our contract auto renews each year (news to me). Our renewal isn't until February 22 or 23rd of of ****. I owned ONE HOME and paid **************************************************************************************************************** I notified ZEGO on January 11th that on January 19th, I would be selling that single property. They proceeded to tell me that I owe 421 dollars to cancel. Basically that since I didn't provide a 60 day notice that I wasn't renewing before renewal, that I had to pay for about 2 years of services that I WILL NEVER USE. I tried talking with some disposition manager named ***************************** and he wouldn't help me in the slightest. He offered 30% off that fee to cancel which makes ZERO sense. How can you treat a customer of 6 years this way? I don't even have the property anymore so why should I have to pay for services I am no longer going to use?? What is also strange is that in the contract it says that if I provide them with the contact of the new owner that I could potentially just cancel so I did that and they didn't care. I was 18 days shy of the 60 day notification to them and yet this ***************** did not care. He said I'd have to speak to legal and basically it's too bad. I still can't fathom that this is how I was treated. This company is the worst and I will NEVER return to them. Don't use them. They are absolute and utter garbage. If i could give them zero stars I would but apparently you have to hit a star to leave the review.Zego A Global Payments Company

1 starZego has in the past charged exorbitant amounts for fees for tenants paying rent via their credit card as recently as last year they charged $39 for one transaction fee for monthly rent payments and now with the new year and tenants having to pay ever more increasing rent rates to add insult to injury with credit card transaction hiked up to nearly $50 per processing fee is price gouging and unprofessionally greedy and unacceptable to maintain at this rate is robbery pure and simple! There customer service wait time over the phone is awful just as well.Zego A Global Payments Company

1 starTo all of those property management companies out there looking for a good payment platform and considering ZEGO/PayLease, I would recommend you keep looking.Yes, while their platform can integrate seamlessly into many of the leasing or CRM softwares out there, their customer service is less than stellar and to top it off, after being in business with them for six plus years, we are being slapped with a termination fee of over $12k because we lost all of our properties, all of our income, and are having to close down our business for good.Like many landlords during COVID, our management company took the brunt of the hardship in the rental market and faced immense financial adversity after residents at all of our properties could not, or would not pay their rent from 2020 to 2022. In August of 2023, our property owners decided on a new management team to step in and, and with no properties or income left to keep going, we were forced to close. We gave 60 days notice to all our vendors. Vendors like Resman, ResMate, Zillow, and Realpage all sent their condolences, thanked us for our continued partnership over the last six plus years, and didnt hesitate to close our accounts for us without any penalties or termination fees. ****, on the other hand, stated that since they are going to lose more than 75% of their profit from our company losing 100% of our business, we will owe them a termination fee. Yes! Because they are losing money due to our company losing everything, our estimated termination fees for Mobile Doorman is $2,647.17 and for payments the estimated termination fee is $12,735.95.I tried over and over, to explain that we dont even have enough money to pay our employees, let alone over $12k in termination fees. ZEGO representative, responded that they would lower the termination fee to around half the amount. I explained again that we do not have the money to pay even the lowered fee. ZEGO response: too bad, we signed the contract.Zego A Global Payments Company

Hi Kimberly,
Thank you for reaching out and my apologies for any frustration you have experienced in this process. I am showing that we were able to waive the termination fee in full. Please let us know if you have any further inquiries or issues!Review fromRalph Michael P

1 starI find it ridiculous when a charge of 25 usd appeared on my online bank transaction. Without any warnings or notice. I don't have any late payments on my rent and that insufficient fund is my bank's problem that has been resolved on their end before the due date. Paylease/zego is very unprofessional and unethical when it comes to this issue. Very quick in collecting money using my bank details. I'm gonna file a complaint in consumers bureau.Review fromAshley M.

1 starDeceptive fees and outdated user experience. Zego charged $52.00 as a bounce-back fee, *after* I had cancelled the related Automatic Payment related to a bank account I had closed. When I cancelled it, I received an email from them, stating: "Your scheduled AutoPay to your HOA or property management company has been cancelled. No further automatic payments will be made on your behalf. The details of your cancelled AutoPay are below." However, an automatic payment *was* made on my behalf later that day, and they assessed a $52.00 fee. Zego's customer service was unwilling to help.I will be advocating for my property management group to adopt a new payments platform.Zego A Global Payments Company

Hello, Thank you for letting us know about this situation. We sincerely apologize for the lack of customer support you received, and want to make it right! Our records indicate that the last payment made under your name was from April 5th 2023 and there was no fee associated with this payment. I would be happy to look into this further and rectify the situation if you can provide us with the transaction number of the payment where you were charged $52 in fees. Please let me know if I can assist further!Ashley M.

I appreciate your response and support, thank you. The transaction number is ********* and captures the $52.00 fee for NSF. This transaction went through several hours after I cancelled the payment, and received an email from ****************** that said, "No further automatic payments will be made on your behalf."Again, thank you for your professional response and support.Ashley M.

From your silence, it seems as though **** doesn't "want to make it right" - this is a reflection of the entire experience we've had with Zego as our HOA's payment method.Zego A Global Payments Company

Hello, My apologies for the delay! I am showing that the payment for transaction you provided was not made from AutoPay, it was a One Time payment that was made through your ************ also showing that we did not charge you $52 for the *** fee. You were only charged $25 as was the fee agreed to in the disclaimer at the time of payment. The additional fees may have been charged by your bank. We would be happy to reach out to you directly to discuss further!
