?? Beware of Zego /Paylease ??I feel compelled to share my experience with Zego / Paylease so others dont find themselves in the same situation. After years of being unhappy with their service, I stopped using Zego in January 2025. Everything should have ended there. Then in May, a tenants payment somehow slipped through their system. That single paymentwithout my knowledge or consent triggered Zego to create a new annual contract for me that I never agreed to and wasnt even informed about.I didnt find out about this phantom contract until months later, when Zego emailed me saying my account was going to be shut down due to inactivity and that I would be billed a $1,474.07 termination fee. When I questioned their disposition manager about the math (they said my new contract ran until May 2026, yet their own breakdown showed 11 months left), suddenly I was told my case is closed and that no further responses would be accepted. ************* make matters worse:I told them Id cover any legitimate fees tied to that one tenant payment, but I would not pay for an annual contract they made up on their own.I even sent them written notice revoking their authorization to withdraw funds from my account.Despite that, they went ahead and tried to pull $1,474.07 directly from my bank account and closed my account. This entire experience has been shady, inconsistent, and frankly disgusting. **** fabricated a contract from a single triggered payment, misrepresented the terms of that contract, ignored my written instructions, and then tried to forcefully take money from my bank account that they no longer had authorization to pull from. This company has terrible business practices and clearly does not value its customers. Property managers: please think twice before signing on with ****.

Not a reliable company to be using for rent. My apartments switched to this platform with no warning. I have always been able to make payments easy, now with ZEGO I cant access the portal and have been receiving error codes. The one time i got in the balance was $0 and unpayable.

In my opinion, this company is highly unethical. They apparently do not properly verify that they have received actual authorization to withdraw funds from a person's bank account. Unfortunately, this company received my banking information from another unscrupulous party that signed me up for their automatic payment system without my consent and even after I told them I did not want to use their service. In addition to concerns regarding giving sensitive banking information to a third party, I did not want to use this company's services because they charge exorbitant fees. If you have problems with this company withdrawing funds from your bank account without your approval, you may want to consider filing a complaint with your bank and local law enforcement.

They have taken out double payments and one of the payments were not supposed to be removed from an account that was emailed to them not to be taking the money out. It was restricted because of a ***. Since they couldn't get the money from the **** they want a fee for insufficient fund. On previous days had problems with them doing the same on taking out double payment but not having a *** and they dropped the insufficient fund. Keep getting emails from them to pay for the insufficient funds on the *** account. They said that they have no emails copies from any of the emails that they sent me. They have asked to have me fend them. A copy of the email sent them the copy and they're trying to get the *** amount and they made an excuse that they couldn't drop it because in the policy they don't drop insufficient funds but why did they do it in the past?

Why can't Zego go report directly to the credit bureaus instead of having to use level Credit in which you find out that you have to pay for level credit to get your payments actually reported to the credit bureaus it just makes no sense. It makes no sense to than to use Zego if you think your payments are being reported to credit bureaus.

They put you into a ************************************************************ a 36 month contract that will automatically renew if YOU do not give them a 60 day notice prior to that contract ending. They expect a small business owner to remember there is a 36th month contract on top of everything else the person has to do each and every day to keep their business up and running. Then, if you stop processing payments through them like they want you to, they expect you to come up with $6K to get out of the contract OR if you want to continue the contract, pay over $500/month until the contract is done. Their contract is very 1 sided. There is no reminder sent out prior to the ending of the contract to see if you are happy with their services and want to keep them. This is one of her responses back to me about not giving a renewal notice, and increasing rates mid contract: I would like to take this opportunity to clarify that the Agreement governs the relationship and the *** increase does not constitute a modification to the terms of our agreement, as it is explicitly outlined within the agreement itself. Additionally, I would like to emphasize that notifying you regarding the automatic renewal of your term is not listed on your ************ because it is not listed in the agreement, they take out being a good company and making sure their clients are fully aware of everything. I work in property management. If I conducted my business this way, I would loose my reputation that I have worked so hard at keeping. I would have a very hard time renting any of our properties out and I would be fired from the Owners for operating a business this way! Stay as far away from this business as you possibly can!

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. The legally binding contract that was signed by your company states the terms for which terminating your agreement must be met. Unfortunately, any dispute with these terms must be sent through our legal team. Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

I use **** to pay my lot rent and they are taking more off the top every once in awhile, thinking I wouldn't notice. Problem is I am on disability, every dollar gets accounted for and I have been keeping every months ledger. Jigs up sweetie, I have the proof from day one. Man I love it when a plan comes together. They took out double payments on my first time, there was nothing saying they would do this and no way to contact them from their site, or from my condo site which offered this type of payment
