  It's a clown show. They don't list phone numbers online, reps have no clue and provide false information, the app provides very little information and does not update for 30 days, the web site is only good if you want to get a loan. This company is under investigation by multiple State AG's and rightfully so.

  Wish I didn't have to give even one star. I was called by two different loan officers from Lightstream who approved a $2000 loan for me. Then I was told that, as an account verification process, they would make mobile deposits into my account and then I would have to send the funds back through CashApp. My bank advised me that this was a scam but that was after I sent them $340. They still kept making deposits. They were returned and I wound up losing more. In these reviews, Lightstream keeps saying that it was not them who scammed me and that there sre people who impersonate them. My thinking is this: I don't care if it's an impersonator, I will steer clear of Lightstream!

  This review is not a judgment against the company. I am just wanting to inform the public and potential consumers of the unsafe practices that were used to scam me. I do not know much about this company or their practices. I was referred to this company after applying for a small personal loan through a third party website. I was contacted via email and phone regarding my loan request. I spoke to two different loan officers about the loan. Before submitting any of my personal information such as banking information, ID and confirming my SSN, I reviewed the company's website to verify the company was legit. Although the phone calls and information requests were unusual and suspicious, I naively went through with loan process. Or so I thought I was completing the loan request. Unfortunately, it was a scam and I did not in actually receive a loan which I desperately needed at the time I applied. Once I realized it was a scam, I emailed the actual company inquiring about the situation and submitted a fraud report including all of the email communication I had with the scammers. I have also changed my online banking information as well filed a police report with the local authorities and submitted a fraud report with the ******************************* As of right now, I haven't had any fraudulent activity in my bank account and I hope it stays that way. Hopefully this review helps and the actual company can implement some safer practices in the future that *** prevent potential consumers from being scammed. Again I don't know much about this company and unfortunately I will never have the opportunity to utilize the services and products it offers because I was scammed by some fraudulent people. I tried to include the information that was used to scam me, but the review wouldn't post with that information. Also I do not have a star rating for this company, but again I could not post the review without picking a star rating.

  ZERO STARS: ************ had me give my SS# to see if I qualify for a small loan. Now they are sending junk mail to my house, and they have no contact number on any letters they send to my house. I never signed up for the loan; just checking qualification before moving forward with a purchase. What company sends a letter to your house with no phone number on it? Answer: a shady one.

  My loan was paid and they are telling me I owe More. This has been a nightmare. They now locked me out of my account and then my accounts have been hacked. They took ******** and still wanted 9 more payments after paying them off we owed ******. They said well we have to add on for non payment from Dec 2022- May 2023. First you can't just let it go for months, but this company keeps changing payments, interest and what principal balance is. HOW do they keep running a financial business? I just spoke to ****** and he stated I owe even more. So I was told the same day, I owe ******, ******, ****** and an additional **** interest, and finally a guy named Supervisor ****** stated the highest amount of $349.73 . Why are they not regulated and investigated. Immediate need. We will be going to small claims and yes they are fraudulently adding money to loans. I did contact my attorney general in ********, please do the same.

  Your terms are fair, not a problem. My issue is that I can't find our loan balance ever. I keep a spreadsheet so I know exactly when it will be paid off. Every month I go through this: I log in, I indicate which phone I want the code sent to so I can finish logging in and get my balance. You say it will take 5 minutes. You should say it'll take 5 hours!Obviously you think I should have to wait on you! This will be our last loan with you. You stink! Suntrust was SO much better than Truist. Say what you mean, and do what you say!

  This is a terrible company with which to do business. It has been 3 weeks and I am still getting the run-around for money to be funded to my account. There is always some excuse why the money is not deposited - the account number was incorrect, we are working on it (even after I received a ******************* letter). They supposedly will deposit a "test amount of money". When this money is returned to the company, they will supposedly send you approved loan amount. I had to give them my user name and password to my bank account. There is no money in my account for them to take, but I believe this is a scam. Them saying that a loan will be processed in 3 business days is a LIE!!

  Lightstream out of ******* sent fake checks to my bank to commit fraud as they stole $2879.90 from my bank account.

  Horrific customer service. They deferred our payments for ***** and didnt tell us that the end date of our loan wasnt changing so the entire amount came due with two weeks notice. They could not produce any documentation where they advised us of this. They refused to refinance because the remaining amount wasnt large enough, they also refused to let me pay it off with a credit card, then they also refused to change the date of the final draft. I had to pay to put a stop payment at my bank to give me a little more time to get the cash. Will never ever use them again. With all the lending options I really dont know how they are in business with their extremely poor customer service.

  These people call your home over three times a day, and when you tell no, they just call back seven minutes later. There has to be a lot of illegals immigrants working there because they are extremely hardheaded. No means No.
