I continue to get calls from this company about a loan that I never applied for and for someone called ******. I continue to ask them to take me off their call list. I get 5 to 10 calls per day. I try to block the number, but the number is always different, from different states and different people. When I tell them to remove my number, they simply hung up.

Business asked that as a part of the application process that I provide my online banking user ID and password! My bank informed me that this is highly ill-advised and precludes the banks ability to protect accounts against fraud. It resembles internet scams. When I raised this issue with *********************(Rep).. he argued that the information was safe and this was their proceedure. After I pointed out that my bank adamantly discourages disclosing passwords and account info and that their are typically scams...he began cursing and swearing at me!

I just got a HELOC to pay off all my debts, including an outstanding debt of $19,312 with Lightstream (account ending in 3132). The title company ServiceLink sent out checks on May 7 (they confirmed this via email to me), going out from *************, ************. Lightstream's payment office is in *******, *******. According to the **** postal delivery maps, they received the check by May 11. The title company sent 8 other checks out on May 7th, and several were received by that date at destinations about the same distance from the title company. All 7 other checks have been received and credited to my accounts as of yesterday. So. Lightstream has been sitting on that check for over a week, collecting their 9% interest. I called them this morning, 5/17 and the check has not been credited to my account. It should have been. It's wrong for them to rip me off just by being lazy. I'm a 100% disabled veteran and that much money floating around in nowhere is extremely frustrating. I've lost sleep over this. I've canceled events and activities, afraid I will still have to pay that debt payment next month. I just shut down my website. Canceled a campaign conversation with the ******* presidential campaign. Not doing your job has consequences, people. All this is because a bank doesn't do its job. I see they have had MANY complaints. I can't see how they could possibly have an "A" rating with the BBB. Regardless, please credit that money to my account ASAP.

Thank you for your prompt attention.  I just called Service Link, the title company that issued the check.  They said check #********** in the amount of $19,244.00 was mailed on May 4th to Lightstream, ****************************. Service Link advised me, if you are unable to track down the check, then to wait 30 days, which is okay with me, but I hope you are able to find the check before then.

    Thanks very much,

    *******************

    Business Response

The check payment was received and applied to your account. Any overages will be refunded to you via check and mailed approximately ten business days from May 21, 2024.
