1 starThis search site is absolutely terrible!! I have looked up my background many times in the past with no problems. My info came up, but Instant Checkmate came back with absolutely no information except for a couple of social media profiles I have had. No arrest records no employment history no housing history everything said there was no information to be found. I work for state agency where you can literally put my name in and see exactly how much I make every single year you're going to tell me you couldn't find my employment history? I have a misdemeanor on my record according to them I have no record. I tried to call them and tell him how unhappy I was and their customer service was terrible. He was just telling me it's not their fault and no refund will be issued. I've used three other background search sites in the last 10 years and EVERY ONE had the info I wanted. This had NONE! Then I checked my wife and my father's results (came with the month subscription) to see what information they had on them and NOTHING, so it wasn't just me and my info. Both my father and wife have very public information out there that is EASILY accessible...but not Instant Check Mate. I'm telling you you will be sorry if you do search results through them, and you will not get your money back after feeling like you were just robbed and scammed.

1 star***************************************"Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link at the bottom of the main page doesn't work and directs to some kind of "suppression" subscription site... shady, and unlike any other data broker I've interacted with. 1 starScam website that claims to be free, intentionally wastes ***** minutes of your time with fake loading bars and then bait and tries to sign you up for a MONTHLY charge for the rest of eternity. This is a trap designed to prey on the elderly and naive, the people who run and created this site are the lowest of the low.Instant Checkmate

1 starGiving any stars is ridiculous. Complete scam. Started to get the date of my divorce, and the site said it was free. That day a $1.00 charge hit my credit card. Two days later they charged $19.95. I was willing to let the $1.00 charge go, unwilling to put the time in for $1.00. I did contact them when $19.95 hit my account. After many back and forth emails and finally giving them more information than I thought they needed, another $19.95 hit my credit card. My bank blocked them at that point, but be aware I never signed up for an account with them at all, in fact I never even opened the report, having found the information another way. I never got a credit after giving them the information they requested. I never got an account number and they agreed they couldnt find one. This didnt stop them from charging on multiple occasions. This is an extremely shady company. Steer clear.Instant Checkmate

Today 11/11/2022 Instant Checkmate just tried billing my card again. I have had email contact with 4 different people, one possibly twice. They keep asking for the same or additional information regarding additional emails and pay pal accounts which has no impact on the initial contact. Just be advised this is the shadiest outfit I have ever had this misfortune to deal with. Also proved nothing is free.Review fromTina M
