      I have requested 2 times for instant checkmate to remove my personnal data from their site and they have failed to do so. By them doing that, they have put my life at risk for fraud. I want my info deleted.

      I filed a complaint with your office against this company on or about January 24, ****. Complaint I.D. Number: ********. The company responded back to the BBB on January 29, **** agreeing to remove my information from their website (see below for more details). Instantcheckmate said it would take them ***** hours to remove my information. It is now seven days or 168 hours later and my information is still posted there. I sent them an email on February 2nd reminding them that they agreed to take my information down and I have not gotten a response back. It is obvious to me that they have reneged on our agreement to remove my information. Therefore, I have no choice but to reopen my original complaint against them.       Hi I paid 4.25$ and 27.08$ and instant check mate didnt provide any info ont he person I was searching for which was different from what I first typed in Id like refund to be issued as it didnt provide any info

      On January 31, ****, I did a ****** search of my name and noticed that Instant Checkmate has my whole address listed for everyone to see. I never permitted this. I asked to be removed and they game me a link to suppress my data. When I clicked on that link I was asked to provide my email address and from there they would send me an email with next steps. It is Feb. 3 and I never received the email to continue with next steps. I emailed Instant Checkmate back on Feb. 3, asking to be completely removed from their site and informing them Ill be reporting them to the BBB. People should be given an easy way to opt out of these public people finder websites.

      Dear *** or Ma'am:I have asked Instandcheckmate.com to remove my personal information (name, address, phone numbers.etc.) from their website and they refused to do it unless I provided them with even more of my personal information (verify my email address, etc.). This is not acceptable and I should not have to do it. I have been communicating via email with their customer service (******) for the past several days. See emails attached for more details.My personal information has been stolen countless times in the past year. Because of this, I have had to file credit alerts with all three of the major credit bureaus. I also had to block my debit and credit cards through my bank's app for additional protection.I understand that this information was collected through the public domain but having it all in one place has made it easier for scammers and others to obtain my personal data and attempt to cause me financial harm. I should not have to provide Instandcheckmate.com with more of my personal information to get them to remove my data from their site. My original email to them included a link to my personal information on their website. So between my emails and that link they have more than enough information to verify my identity and remove my information. I would appreciate your help in getting them to remove my personal information immediately without me providing them with more of my personal information.Thank you.*****************************

      To begin with, the application does not work in stealth mode. At least not the version I downloaded and paid for. Secondly, I could not configure it on the phone and I have 20 years of IT experience. Thirdly I never used it. I requested a full refund and they did not give it to me stating that they needed to troubleshoot the issue. Not only is it time-consuming but straightforward for someone used to configurations of things that are much harder than an app on a phone. They also emailed my email at work which I never provided to them! They do respond to you but in circles instead of doing the right thing and refunding a customer who wasn't able to use the app.

      When a user activates their account, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Instant Checkmate to charge their card as described, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email for any orders placed on the site.

      We can confirm that there has been a dispute regarding the charges associated with the account in question, resulting in a chargeback. According to our records, it appears that the account is currently in dispute with their financial institution. In this case, we recommend that they reach out to their financial institution directly to address any concerns they may have regarding a refund. 

      We are also able to verify that the membership has been cancelled and disabled, and there will be no additional charges applied. Additionally, as a result of the dispute, this account will be inaccessible going forward.
