I think that these medical devices were a great idea to better the persons life who is is need. I don't find it helpful for software seeming to be able to be manipulated by an outside source, ie hackers.

When It works it works wonderfully! I would wait until all the issues are worked out before switching. I have had type 1 diabetes for 35 years and don't feel lows. My life depends on my sensors. I started G7 not to long ago and so far I have 3 sensors that worked and 3 that did not. I will be going back to the G6 until they get better.

Recently have encountered 2 sensor failures. Tonight is the worst experience with my G7. Applied new sensor yesterday (at the end of 10 day cycle). Late this afternoon, my Dexcom reading alarmed urgent low at 54. Drank 12 oz soda, and reading didnt increase after 30 minutes. Drank another 12 oz soda, no change on Dexcom. Checked by finger stick, reading 446 with Dexcom still showing readings urgent low in 50s. Called tech support, instructed to calibrate Dexcom reader (my android phone is not compatible with the app). The Dexcom reader would not allow the calibration; I assume because of such a huge difference between the readings. Tech support person just said wait 1 hour and retry to calibrate. At this point, not very happy with G7 or tech support. I feel I had better correlation with readings when using the G6.

I agree that the sensors are hit or miss with respect to whether or not they are accurate. There have been a few in a row which have been consistently spot on when I compare to my finger sticks. However, about every 3rd monitor takes me on a roller coaster ride. False readings of highs and lows when I am in fact in normal ranges. Alarms blaring day and night and me sticking my fingers more often than I would have with a standard BGM, just for the sake of calibrating. But the G7 barely takes the new number into account. This device makes managing my blood sugars quite a chore. Additionally, the sensors fall off easily despite using the extra adhesive ring that they provide PLUS another adhesive patch I purchased separately. Most disturbing is the fact that the sensors are only good for 10 days so you have to buy 3 per month (unlike FreeStyle which has managed to get their sensors to last for 14 days at about half the cost and twice the accuracy of Decom). Today I am so frustrated that I have decided to silence the app and just do routine finger sticks for the remaining time. I will not remove the sensor because I plan to document the length of time it spent being inaccurate. Overall, not worth the money I pay out of pocket.

I am very frustrated with the G7. It often loses its signal and gives inaccurate readings. It has caused me to go dangerously low by delivering insulin when it wasnt needed. I love having a sensor, but I want to be able to trust the accuracy.

TOTAL JUNK. WORKS RANDOMLY. Latest error msg using PIXEL 4a with app says "DCZMdv couldn't pair due to incorrect pin or passkey." Never had this message before. Usually "Failure- too far from phone," or other error messages. So now I'm using Dexcom G7 's dinky unit, which won't allow me to set the time of day. I've had more failed sensors than working ones. I'm going back to Dexcom G6. Don't waste your time with G7. Maybe I'll just do finger sticks.

When the Dexcom G7 works, it is great! I am a type 1 diabetic and have been for about 50 years now. I no longer recognize signs of low blood sugar, so a CGM is a must for me.However, I get a sensor failure about every 6 weeks.Dexcom needs to pay more attention to two things:(1) Quality of the sensors (2) Better customer support I have been unable to reach Dexcom customer support. When my sensor failed about 4 weeks ago, I filled in a form to have a representative call me back, and I NEVER received a call. These CGM's are not cheap, so I need Dexcom to replace sensors that fail.My sensor failed again right after inserting this morning and I am still waiting on hold to talk with a Customer Support person.

G7 is garbage inaccurate readings it will go from 60 to 300 back to 140 in ten minutes then the sensor stops for 30 to 50 minutes works for another hour then does the same thing again. The unit is 24 days old and has gone through 6 sensors

Dexcom is GARBAGE all the way around. It is a full time job to deal with their "customer service". They can hardly speak English and when they do they route you to the wrong place every time. For a medical company they SUCK! I wish another player would come to the marketplace because this is NOT where it is at. Excuse after excuse and online assistance is nothing! ***** to be forced to deal with these idiots.

G7. This app has more bugs than a freaking termite mound. Time change nonexistent. Day after time change to daylight savings: every time I enter insulin amounts, I now have to enter the time an hour earlier than the actual time, because the 'save' screen shows correct time I have entered, while the 'confirm' screen shows an hour later.
