I have been a diabetic since **** and I thought wow they came out with a better way of keeping track of my glucose readings. I was tired ?? of doing fingersticks so when I got the Dexcom g6 my A1C dropped from 9.1 to 5.4. ???? But then my Dexcom started giving my false readings saying that I was low when actually I was normal 82 after doing a fingerstick. It began to happen so frequently that I had to be sent out replacements on a monthly basis ??. I than switched to the Dexcom g7 thinking ?? okay this will be better. WRONG ?? much much more worse. The Dexcom g7 loses signal and you can have the darn thing attached to body. When I spoke with a Dexcom representative they say you must be no more than 20 feet away but my monitor was laying on my chest and still not receiving a signal. ??? Then I experienced a medical emergency in January **** where my dexcom said that my reading was high and it was while I was asleep ??. Luckily for me my husband goes to bed late and he checks on me to make sure that Im okay. When he checked on me at midnight, he saw that I was sweating and moaning. My dexcom gave a reading of 162 and my fingerstick showed I actually was 42 and dropping. It took my husband 2 glucagon, a peanut butter and honey sandwich and 3 cups of juice ?? to get me to come around. If I didnt have my husband to check on me, I wouldve been dead ??!! I contacted Dexcom to report what happened and they did take a report but that was it. Oh of course they ask the same old questions like what medications are you taking and I know the drill so I let them know that I not taking anything that would affect my Dexcom. I find that since Dexcom g6 and g7, I am doing more fingersticks. Really??? It is the worst and most unreliable product ever used. I might have to try Libra because I understand that its more reliable. I think Dexcom is lying ?? to the consumer about their product. If you are using Dexcom please dont trust the readings, do a fingerstick

I've been stuck using the Dexcom G6, then the G7. Not only are both versions insanely expensive even with insurance, but the G6 is due to be discontinued soon, even though Dexcom reps have told me the G7 is "glitchy" and have told me to replace my sensors, so they can send me new, free ones, too many times for me to count. I started using the G7 with my ******* Android AFTER 3 separate calls to Dexcom verifying that the phone was compatible, and after seeing my phone listed as compatible on their website. [NOTE: the software version of your phone is never listed, or discussed, but it's just as critical as the type of phone you have. So beware - if you allow updates to your phones, your Dexcom may stop giving you accurate readings. If you have frequent episodes of fast dropping low blood sugar, your Dexcom G7 can give you a reading of 112, while you bs via finger ***** is actually below 40, and you're going into a sugar coma. Happened to me on 2-2-2024. For the first time, I'd had no 'symptoms' that my sugar was dropping. If my young adult daughter had not been there to finger ***** and use glucagon twice, then follow up with OJ and a sandwich, I'd be dead right now. You bet I told Dexcom about it. They called back later asking me what meds I was taking, in an effort to avoid responsibility and blame 1 of my medications - but my specialists never prescribed any medication that would negatively impact my diabetes/hypoglycemia. The worst part is that there are no other alternatives. The Freestyle took forever to update, and required a separate receiver. You have my sympathies if you're also stuck with this HORRIBLE system. The reps are rude, you can't really trust the numbers, and it's beyond frustrating!

The absolute worst accuracy of them all. Do not get. Rhe g7 is off by at least 20 to 30 percent. How you can advertise that the accuracy is the best is fraudulent. I have seen toilet seats with less fluctuations. Huge swings, from like 4.9 to 8.3 in 20 minutes. From 5 to 6.4 in 5 minutes. Who could rely on a product like this. Absolutely unacceptable. The g7 needs to be reingeneered. Get the Libre 3.

Horrible product. Constant wrong readings. Constantly recalibrating.. when it lets you. Was off 93 points this morning! Said my husband's sugar was 44. Can you imagine how high his sugar would have been if he trusted this device?! Or if it was 93 points higher and he took insulin to fix it, He probably would be in the hospital! How many people end up in the hospital because of the inaccurate readings? This device is going to seriously, maybe permanently do damage to someone. They need to recall this device before that happens.

"Unusably Inaccurate for this Non-Diabetic"Save your money and buy a finger-prick glucose monitor - they're cheaper and more accurate than the Dexcom G6. I am not diabetic, so I bought mine for diagnostic purposes (my mother, brother, and many relatives are pre- or diagnosed diabetics). Things I found unacceptable: 1. Inaccuracy - I had read that the **** was 9% give or take - that was not my experience at all - typically it was double that or more.2. Inability to become more accurate through self-calibration (in my last 10 days, I used finger-pricks 5 times a day [my fingers are aching as I type this] and calibrated the machine each time...the variances were still pretty vast).3. Inability to use without emergency alarms/inability to set the alarms low enough that it wouldn't wake me in the night when I was pressing against the CGM)4. Sensitivity to heat (I would get even higher readings in the sauna or bath)In fairness, I can say some good things about my experience: 1. I have a much better understanding of how blood glucose works in my body and how to architect a meal to prevent a large glucose spike or combine food with exercise/movement to prevent a spike (I could have read about this online, but a direct/embodied experience tends to make a more lasting impact on me)2. I have come to realize that for my diagnostic purposes, using finger-pricks on an infrequent but regular basis (once a month for fasting glucose, case-by-case for testing foods) makes much more sense for my budget and purposes

Dreadful, inattentive, uneducated staff. Products designed to the lowest common denominator. Nonsense programming and the absent element of professional or personal responsibility. Negative stars. Lowest common opinion.

Would be great if I could leave a 0 star review. They don't deserve even a part of 1 star. Dexcom technical support is anything but... their people only read from a script. Sent to a "supervisor" and they read from the same script, saying the same things that were not helpful to my situation. This was after waiting on hold for almost an hour so they could "find" a supervisor. This company is a total waste of time. Will be posting this type of review everywhere I can to let people know to beware if they do business with Dexcom for any reason.

We are very dissatisfied with Dexcom Inc. They are doing monopolistic practices. They also give the poorest customer service now that they have offshored their customer service to ***************. I was told they couldn't send a new transmitter replacement Rx for the G6 to our Pharmacy, but they could have, said the supervisor I talked to 5 days later because it hadn't yet arrived. The man on the phone spoke little or no English and probably read from a script. He didn't understand that we needed it ASAP. We had troubleshot it for 3 days, changed the sensor, and still no results. I hate the way they treat you like a criminal trying to get drugs when your sensor or transmitter stops working and you need a new one. They put you through a barrage of unnecessary questions. After reading the other reviews, I am in no hurry to use the G7, and we would love to ditch the G6 but it works for my daughter and we have been having good results. Dexcom, if you see this, bring customer service back home. We need better and faster service. We had to wait 12 days for a new sensor. I then went to a pharmacy and paid 290$ for a transmitter because I believe it is a lifesaving device. You claim it is, but your customer service tells me differently. You are profit-motivated, and if one day there was a cure, you and others who provide products would suppress it. I pray for a cure often, just so we aren't beholden to companies who won't provide what we need when we need it.

What a horrible company. I spoke to customer service and they did not take care of my concern. I filled out a survey and they called me to discuss. I explained my concern and they said thank you but we can't help you. Excellent service. Now they lost a customer. I'll make sure to spread the word om all the diabetes groups and social media. Thanks Dexcom!!!!They blocked me from the ******** page
