RE: ***** *******
Dear Chris,
On February
13, 2024, Blackhawk Networks (“Blackhawk”) received a complaint from ***** ******* regarding issues accessing his remaining
funds on his gift card ending in ****.
On February 1,
2024, Mr. ******* reached out to our customer service team to inquire as to why
he could not access the funds on his card. Our team requested information from
Mr. ******* in order to re-issue the card. On February 2, 2023, we received Mr.
*******’s driver’s license. We assigned
what information we had to our team in order to resolve this issue. That same
day our team requested additional information to address the matter. However,
Mr. ******* informed our team that unfortunately they live with their parents
and will be unable to provide billing verification. On February 3, 2024, our
team again requested information in order to be able to move forward. On
February 5, 2024, because Mr. ******* would be unable to acquire a bill under
his name, we would accept one under his parents’ name. On that same day we received
the requested information from Mr. *******. On February 6, 2024, Mr. *******
requested a response within 3-4 business days. On February 7, 2024, we received
a call from Mr. ******* where our team explained that the case was assigned
that day and that he should be receiving an email within the next 72 hours
detailing expectations for the card replacement.
On February
20, 2024, we confirmed the block was removed and card was available for use. We
sincerely apologize for any inconvenience Mr. ******* may have experienced.
With this, we
consider the matter resolved. Please, do
not hesitate to reach out to us with any further questions.

I am rejecting this response because:"I will have to wait to try the electronic-card in about a month when a new bill is due and I can pay a pro-rated portion of the amount due with the card."
Please keep the case open until I can try to use the card.

I bought a prepaid **** Gift Card to pay my mobile phone bill spent $80.00 my phone bill was $54.00. However before I could pay the phone bill the money was gone. Somehow $51-$52 was debited from my card and I didn't get to make the payment. I didn't authorize the $51-52 debit. So I contacted the **** gift card mall on line and on the phone and stated my claim. Later I got a strange looking **** in the mail from this business and I was relieved I that justice prevailed. However I was mistaken because there was only a dollar something on the card. They told me they were filing the claim for me instead they just sent me another card as if they were replacing it to me. Then when I went to register it thinking that maybe they would reimburse me the $50+ after they knew it was really me. However when I went to register it I was required to type in the 4 digit code printed on the letter and there wasn't one on the letter nor was it in the letter here the sample indicated. I was so upset I felt like they were hating on me. It was bad enough that my money disappeared off of the card then when I got the card and had nothing but problems trying to access I began to get sick to my stomach and cry.j that was yesterday, then today I thought I would try to look into the matter a little closer so I tried to contact them and they hung up on me when I stated who I was. I finally got the lady on the phone and she hung up on me after hearing me stare my name. Then I went to the **** website and they were unaccessible. Oh and when I went to activate the new card they sent me there website indicated that the card doesn't exist. I know it does because I had it in my hand, because I received it in the mail addressed from them. I am very upset and confused about what they are really doing. I had a similar problem with them awhile back however I let it slide because I am going through a very difficult time in my life right now. But because it keeps on happening and I know something in't right about it. I thought I had better stick up for myself and what I was originally doing., Trying to make a payment to my mobile carrier. However because of what happened I lost service that is why it took me a little longer. Some of us don't have the extra money to say oh well I will just take some more money out and make the mobile phone payment. The unauthorized debit messed everything up for me. That is another reason why I was so upset by whats been happening. As a matter of fact two years ago I was swindled out of $2500 over the phone. A man and a woman posed as if they were from the sheriff's department and the ****************************** they told me ... If you want to hear what happened it will have to be separate from this matter. Anyhow that is it for now. Sincerely ************************* I pledge and give you my word that what I have told you as stated herein thee above is the truth. *************************Business Response

This card was given to me as a gift, it had $25 available on it. I recently put this card on my Healthy Paws account after I canceled my Healthy Paws account so that if they tried billing me anymore it would get denied. Healthy Paws just issued me a refund of $1062 which is what I paid them over the last three years, now this **** gift card ending in 3352 is trying to keep my money which has nothing to do with them. I asked them to deny the refund and I can go directly to healthy paws but they said they can't void the refund so they are just going to keep the money. I have the receipt from Healthy Paws for the refund which I will upload with this complaint. Both sides are saying they can't do anything about the transaction, If we cannot get this resolved I will be filing a lawsuit in small claims court and suing up to the *** of $10,000 for this headacheBusiness Response

RE: Complaint #********, ***********************
Dear **,
On February 12, 2024, Blackhawk Networks (Blackhawk) received a complaint from *********************** regarding a **** gift card ending in 3352 that has been blocked after being credited for an amount greater than the original loaded balance.
On February 5, 2024, we received a phone call from ****************, advising that he would like a physical check for a refund of $1,062.27 was applied to a **** gift card ending in 3352.Case CS12272005 was created, and an email was sent to ************************,requesting Proof of Purchase for the item that had caused the credit due to the credited amount being far in excess of the original loaded balance of the card itself. While we received a document from **************** on February 6, 2024, it was not considered Proof of Purchase for the purposes of unblocking the card as it was a proof of return of funds rather than a proof of purchase. An email was sent the same day, re-requesting a photo of a receipt of the purchase of the item that the gift card was used towards or a receipt of the purchase being refunded back to the card itself. **************** called to inquire about the status of CS12272005 on February 7, 2024, at which point he was advised by phone as well as via email that we were still in need of a proof of purchase rather than a proof of refund. A reminder of this need was sent on February 8, 2024, with a response being received from **************** on February 9, 2024, advising that we "deny the transaction" so the crediting company could address the matter. **************** was advised in a response that we cannot deny transactions and that only merchants can cancel or reverse a transaction on the card.
On February 12, 2024, Case CS12324433 was opened from a phone call from ****************, advising that he can provide a statement showing payments to the merchant which would equal the amount refunded to the **** gift card. **************** responded with photos of a statement from the merchant showing the payments in question, with a credit located at the bottom of the statement as well as proof of return to the **** card ending in 3352. After reviewing the documentation, the hold has been removed and we will be proceeding with a Letter of Intent with the merchant in question. As of today's date, our records show that the gift card has been redeemed in full and carries a zero balance. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience **************** may have experienced.
With this, we consider the matter resolved. Please, do not hesitate to reach out to us with any further questions.

I received a gift card with a balance of $75. The paperwork said the funds do not expire even though there is an expiration date of 8/2024. In 2021, a transaction posted “ Cardholder Funds Escheated to State”. All of my funds were removed even though it has not expired.Business Response

I bought a one4all gift card for a Christmas gift for a friend. It was purchased in the amount of $50.00. She never used it, and now it says BHN DEBIT ADJUSTMENT, balance $0.00. That was on 12/27/2023. I would like a refund of the $50.00, considering the gift card was never used or redeemed. I have two partially used gift cards. Per my records, one has $17.07 remaining and one has $12.02. Both cards state "funds do not expire". However, both cards have passed the expiration date and both were declined when I attempted to use them. I entered my card number on the website and got an error message re: expiration date. I called customer service, but there is not an option to speak to an agent so both forms of contact offered are useless. I would like $29.09 sent to me via email. I do not agree that it is resolved until I actually receive funds- I will not consider resolved with a promise to send funds. Thank you.Business Response

Hi Team
It has been a nightmare to deal with the *************** customer support and get my card working. My card stopped working last year and I made several attempts to contact them, but there has been no response.
They have already been paid for the **** gift card, for $487, they are still not letting me redeem them.
Here is the card number **************** , redeemed with email *****************
I have already been taxed for these earnings and they are just disabling the cards, which is completely unacceptable. They never communicated me that they are going to disable the cards and there is no reason why were they disabled.
They are acting as a business in bad faith and profits from setting in place policies that favor *************** at the literal expense of the users of their service.
Please ask them to resend me the redemption email for the card, so that I can get the card details for the redemption.
Thanks
