Sequencing.com gave me inaccurate information. It quoted me $600 for my genome sequencing and $400 each for each of my children, and it's advertising $200 online. So, I overpaid by $800, apparently. Then, I called and spoke with someone who told me that I could buy one membership that would cover me and my kids. This was a deciding factor in whether to go through them to get my kids genome sequenced. They also told me that they would charge me monthly and I could cancel at anytime. They are now trying to charge me for each of us individually for an entire year without the option of monthly. I feel like this is bait and switch. They only have a bot answering questions, which I did not realize previoulsy, but now that I've called and emailed multiple times over the past year, and I ALWAYS talk to *****, it's obvious it's a bot. So, in spite of saying you can talk to a customer service person, it's not actually a human being, which is likely why I was given misinformation. They also automoatically charged me for a membership, changing it from free, for one of my kids without my permission. I feel like I'm being stolen from and since I cannot get a human being on the phone, I don't know how to stop it without loosing all the money I've invested already and all the data that I've paid for. It feels like a racket. I wish I could figure out how to warn others, and I will continue to try to do so. But I'm hoping this message gets to a human being within the company. Additionally, it took 6 months for my first one, over 4 months for one of my kids, and the other kid (kits went at the same time) I'm still waiting for 6 months later. So their statements of length of time are not good. Their reports also contradict themselves, so one says I'm at risk and another says I'm not on several items. Not trustworthy.

I recently used sequencing.com for genetic testing and was blown away by the level of service and expertise they provided. The platform is user-friendly and offers a wide range of reports to choose from. The results took about 12 weeks for my genome sequencing but now that I have my data when I use new reports I get the results in about 10 minutes. The reports were extremely helpful in answering the questions I had. I especially appreciated their commitment to privacy and security, as my data is kept completely confidential. The platform offers so many options. Overall, I highly recommend sequencing.com for anyone looking to learn more about their genetic code and make informed decisions about their health.

Sequencing.com is a scam and a huge disappointment. They analyze specimens at a snail's pace and frequently drop/lose specimens in the middle of processing. I sent in a 30x full genome kit in October 2022. Mind you, this was a replacement for my original kit that "failed" in August 2022. DNA passed quality control and was sequenced successfully several weeks ago according to the status on website.
"Sequencing to 30x" has been ongoing for a few weeks now. At one point, the status said "still sequencing and it is going well". I was just notified today that the kit had failed at the lab (AGAIN). Except this time it took nearly 4 months to figure that out.
How is it possible for DNA that has already been sequenced to fail in the middle of sequencing to 30x?
I have been waiting patiently since August 2022 after spending $400 on a kit, and getting a replacement and still have no result! This is the second time in a row I have been told that my kit has failed.
What is the actual problem? For anyone who has had their money stolen by Sequencing.com, I recommend reporting your experience to the BBB and pursue legal action. I'm going to demand refund and will try Nebula. Heard they are much better.

Just got my results today, took 10 weeks and 3 days. My favorite so far is their Genome Explorer application that I've already used many times today. I spoke to their support with a question about this tool and they were professional and even offered to speak on a zoom call where I could share my screen and they would answer my questions. I think this is very good service.

I bought the plus plan to get the rare diseases report which looks at “1200+” conditions. I paid $150. I used the 23andMe data that I already had, which is what they said to import. After waiting for several hours, I finally had the report results ready. But over 90% of the rare diseases weren’t scanned or were partially scanned (so completely inconclusive). I have tried their chat bot and their phone number during business hours but it only tells me to leave a message and will not allow me to actually talk to anybody. This whole thing feels like such a scam. All I want to know is if I have a specific genetic disease because I’m adopted and have no family medical history. They didn’t even scan my dna for that disease.

If you order a kit from here, the site indicates ***** weeks for results. My kit was received in the lab on October 16. My results have been on ********* Generated" since 12/15.(This step indicates 2 Weeks!)
I've reached out to Support, but no response.
12 Weeks to completion is inaccurate.

I purchased a kit for whole gene ********************** during their Labor Day sale. It was received by the laboratory on 9/15/22 and finally underwent Quality Control on 9/27/22. It is now 12/30/********* months later, and I have yet to see even my raw data imported online.

I don't even know why they bother having a details pages where you can see the status of your kit (complete with time estimations) if the time estimations are not even accurate. It said it *** take up to two weeks for the data to be generated, and it has been three. In the *** section, they list the possible turnaround time of their whole genome ********************** service as up to 16 weeks. From the time they have received my kit, it has almost been 20 weeks.
At this rate, I *** be lucky if I see my results by next July.

They need to have more accurate time estimations that update according to sales and busy times of the year. They are not timely at all and their website cannot be trusted for time estimations.

Hi Morgan, Thank you for your review. As you mentioned, our website provides time estimates for the turnaround time to our whole genome sequencing product and these are approximate. The majority of the time sequencing is completed in 12 weeks or less and occasionally it take longer. I am glad to see your sequencing has successfully completed and your DNA data is now available in your account. Our customer support team has enjoyed assisting you and is available for any further questions.
