I have an HP printer that worked fine until I actually logged into my insta ink account! I signed up for it but never received anything thing, it had a 3 month trial for free so I also forgot about it. I was looking for a spot where I could shrink the size of the picture being printer and thats how I ended up logging on. The moment I did that I pretty much bricked the computer that was working fine until then. My printer told me I needed to change my cartridges it would not print with one being empty which I knew was BS because I had been, I just put everything on black and white. I called up telling them the problem and they tell me that they all have to have ink or the printer doesnt work again BS since it had been until I logged in. I canceled my ** ink subscription and it still wasnt working where he gave me the same story, I the proceeded to inform him that the ink in my printer was still the ink that it came with not insta ink and he told me I was wrong! I rest the printer where you have absolutely no choice but to connect it to the internet and managed to get it to print black and white again. A week to two later, my daughter calls me while we are out of town and and says the printer is acting funny again and u cant print (this was last weekend 3/31 - 4/1). I was checking my checking account on line and low and behold they pulled money out of my account with out authorization and after I canceled the account before a new month would begin. Something has got to be done about them.

** sold a faulty cartridge to me, and refused to honor their warranty that is applies to every ink cartridge they sell, and even stated on their page. They did not respond to my request for a week, then, when they responded, they instantly closed my ticket within sending a email notification to me regarding my warenty claim, witch was not honored, or even mentioned. never buying ** again. the second i can afford a new printer, i'm dropping them like a abusive exe. i hope this company collapses in on itself.

Even before I canceled my ** ink subscription I received spam multi-page print jobs that added to the depletion of my ink cartridges and increased my cost for the ink used. Issue became worse after I canceled the ** ink subscription and was buying the ink commercially. I contacted ** support when the ** ink subscription was active, and was assured that the problem was resolved. The ** ink subscription is a disservice to the customer by forcing depletion of the ink in order to increase their profits.

Just as I suspected! This is the diagnosis I got from **** when my printer would not work. HP DIAGNOSTICS EXPERT:- **** ***** ======================================NETWORK SECURITY ;- MISSING ======================================Security Missing infected error found drivers corrupted csrss.exe trojan found need repair ======================================WEBROOT ANTI-VIRUS = $100 EVERY YEAR ======================================NETWORK SECURITY FIREWALL ONE TIME FIX ;- CLEAN UP TUNE UP + RE-INSTALL / DRIVER PRINTER = $250 ======================================TIME ;- ***** MINS ======================================SECURITY;-NETWORK SECURITY FIREWALL + WEBROOT SECURE ANYHWERE + TECHNICAL SUPPORT 2 YEAR;- $450 5 YEAR;- $730 ======================================This is all bull____! I had already been through one service on Jan. 24 when "Rocky" said I had a virus that was keeping my printer from working. Then, it turned out to be the HP Instant Ink issue. They had turned off my printer. I paid him $249.99 to fix it and to buy Webroot which was supposed to be a antivirus program for one year. Rocky said I would not have any more problems. Then, this! As you can see above, **** ***** wanted me to pay another $250 to remove a trojan. I can't believe that ** knows these people exist and are doing the things listed in the complaints. I will never buy another ** product. About a week after my issue with Rocky, someone got into my computer. It was the middle of the night but I got up and could see that someone was moving my mouse around. I turned off my computer and hoped that would solve the problem. The next day someone had gotten into ******* and charged two $100 gift cards to my bank. I called the bank and since they were still pending the girl cancelled them. Now, ******* has turned it over for collection. I think this was Rocky. I wanted people to know my experience so they avoid HP.

This company is a scam with predatory proprietary products. I dont care that a 3rd party ink cartridge will void a warranty on a printer that is either old, or not worth in price. They require you to purchase ink from solely ** but do not reference that ANYWHERE on their packaging. I will never buy ANYTHING ** again. If my job attempts to upgrade me to the ** laptop I will reject and propose they not use this scam of a company

Horrible service! I've been on the Instant Ink program for several months. I now have over 100 rollover pages on my account. I called to pause the service. The woman I spoke to said she paused it, and I could call when I was ready to "unpause" it. She apparently didn't pause it as they took the money out of my credit card. I called and spoke to another person who told me it would be paused. I received an email stating how many pages I had (over 100), no pause to account. I called and spoke to yet another person who stated he paused the account for six months (stated I should check back on 9/12/25 to restart subscription). I then received an email stating the account was paused until March 14, 2025 and would be charged on that date. I called again. This Representative said he would have an Operations Manager from the Escalation Team call me. He assured me he would assist me and would "do something to make up for the trouble I've been having ... perhaps a refund." That guy was the biggest idiot of all. He only reiterated that the account would be charged on 3/14/25. He definitely did not offer me a refund. He was totally unprofessional and incompetent. So, I told him to just CANCEL the account. I'll go purchase a ***** printer and deal with a company that actually cares about their customers. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ********************** to anyone! I spent so much time on the phone, it was ridiculous. I don't think any of these representatives had any idea what they were doing ... train your employees! This program is seriously flawed. It's a scam. Don't fall for it. I wasted money and time on this. NOT WORTH IT.

Automated warranty validator is perpetually incorrect. My HP+ printer was supposed to come with 2 year warranty, but the validator seems to think it's only 1 year. The supposed dispute process is a black hole. Tech support is incompetent and won't do anything until the warranty status gets updated - which never happens. Such a shame!
