    Our Customer Support Manager has responded to your ticket (#*******), but I wanted to explain a bit more. Under the course syllabus page there is mention of a third-party platform and additional fee to complete this course. This external tool is required to complete part of the coursework and provides the practical experience needed for the course objectives.

    While your Study.com subscription includes most materials, some advanced courses may include third-party tools with additional costs. These are noted in the syllabus to keep everything transparent.

    Unfortunately, there isnt a Study.com-hosted alternative for this specific assignment, but were happy to help you review other course options without additional fees if you prefer. Thank you for your understanding and please look to your support ticket for more information.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I am writing in response to Study.coms recent submission regarding my complaint about a third-party fee in Computer Science 336: Network Forensics.

    While Study.com references the syllabus and mentions a third-party platform, I have carefully reviewed both the syllabus and the Terms of Service and cannot locate any policy, clause, or section that supports the enforcement of this extra assignment against me. I respectfully request that Study.com provide specific details on which policy, Terms of Service clause, or syllabus section they are sourcing to justify requiring this assignment.

    Additional Context:

    Promised Exemption: ***** *. explicitly stated that I would be exempt from Assignment 1 (the extra paid assignment). Despite this, the assignment was treated as mandatory, marked grade pending, and ultimately impacted my final grade.

    Unhonored Response Timelines: Study.com promised a reply within two business days, yet I have received no timely follow-up, and this issue has persisted for weeks, even during the ongoing BBB case.

    System / Platform Failures: I experienced a soft lock, as I could not submit the required statement to take a zero because all submission attempts had been used. My account/profile is blocked from saving critical details due to my legal name, which the platform refuses to resolve.

    Support Issues: Responses were delayed, inconsistent, or automated, failing to honor promised actions. My follow-ups, including emails to ***** *. and prior BBB correspondence, remain unanswered.


    Impact:
    These failures have disrupted my coursework, caused unnecessary stress, and created uncertainty regarding transfer credits and educational progress.

    Requested Clarification / Resolution:

    1. Immediate correction of all grades to reflect my actual performance, honoring the promised exemption.


    2. Clear specification from Study.com of which syllabus section or Terms of Service clause authorizes enforcement of this assignment.


    3. If unresolved promptly, I may pursue a full refund of my Study.com membership, due to service failures, unhonored promises, and undue stress caused by their platform.



    I respectfully urge the BBB to review the full scope of this complaint, including unhonored exemption promises, delayed responses, platform failures, and support mismanagement, rather than focusing solely on the existence of a third-party tool.

    The third-party lab requirement for Computer Science 336: Network Forensics is clearly listed on the course syllabus. This information is visible so students can review it before enrolling or signing up for a membership. Your exemption for Assignment 1 was processed and the system has now been updated to reflect it correctly. The first message we received from regarding your advisors name was sent to our technical support team and has been corrected.     I completed my course and needed to have my assignments graded to meet the deadline for transfer credits to my university. I took a total of 7 classes with Study.com and had no issues with the first 6 however for my last one, I submitted the assignments 3 times and always got flagged for AI use which I, in no way, used AI. After the 4th submission, they still didnt grade it. Gave me the same prompted email and absolutely no customer service whatsoever. They have cost me my spot for admission and unfortunately had to give up a scholarship that was granted to me to start school for that particular start date. I was so upset and just wanted the class to be done with to transfer it in eventually and I submitted a request to skip the assignment and provide me with a zero since I wouldve passed it without that assignment. However, it has been almost a week and they have not replied to any of my 4 emails sent to them. Im at a loss and I am now over $200 in the hole with nothing to show for it and have lost a lot in the process.

    I have paid to complete a course: Communications 101: Public Speaking with study.com months ago, I have completed the course and submitted the required assignments. I am unable to take the final exam due to a missing assignment- which I have submitted weeks ago... I have resubmitted and emailed support multiple times trying to address this issue to no avail. The support does not get back to me via my attempts to resolve thru email or phone. I have paid to take this course and am unable to proceed. I need them to look at my submission and let me proceed with taking the final exam for this course.

    I have used Study.com for multiple courses and have had timely responses to grading assignments. Most of the time is has been with 3-4 days. I am currently in my 4th week of waiting for my assignment to be graded. I have previously reached out to Study.com for and update on this issue and was given the usual response of being overwhelmed with assignments a everyone is working diligently at returning assignment grades promptly. They even quote a 7 day estimate. Well I'm 4 weeks in and nothing. For the amount of money I've spent I think that 4 weeks is unacceptable and even more so with no update. It is unclear to me how some courses can be graded within hours and other take 4 weeks plus. Now my subscription has expired and I feel like Study.com is trying to get another month of payment for no service.

    I completed a course -Environmental Science 101, I received a grade of 69 and I need a 73 for my degree program. I resubmitted one of the assignments and have not received an updated grade. I need them to grade that assignment and submit a transcript to ************************* in ***** so that I can have a full transcript and take my nursing NCLEX test. I have called and emailed over a dozen times and have received no response. I just need to hear from someone so that I can move forward and either retake the class or have a passing grade.

    I recently purchased one month of the college saver plan in attempt to save money with study.com, this has led to nothing but a waste of time and the scamming of my limited funds for college. In attempt to get all of the credits I could before starting my fall semester I fulfilled most assignments and tests etc within the first half of my membership, almost none of it was graded or valued by any metric by the time my subscription ended. In fact, worse than not getting any of the value seeked from my subscription, after WEEKS of assignments not being graded I am being levied claims against me that I am using AI in my work, and I am unable to do anything in response. I have submitted several claims to their customer service and have heard back maybe once, meanwhile my subscription burns to nothing, and I have not a single college credit available to transfer/threatened to be banned for allegedly using AI when provided no evidence or information to back this up asides from highly unreliable "AI checkers" that from their own policy and fine text state that they are anything but accurate and simply detect AI like patterns, which apparently is just writing to standard and not intentionally s******* with grammar and using odd language. Overall I ask for assistance in getting this company to actually do their job and be held accountable for their lacking customer service, and bad faith business, and that I at least can continue my education without constant roadblocks wasting my time, and money.

    I have completed course Business 314 and Finance 301 and have not received my finals score. I am waiting for my assignments to be graded which have taken way longer than originally quoted. This delay is affecting my timeline to have the classes submitted using alternative credits with my university. I have reached out multiple times to customer service both via phone message and email and still have received no answers. I am requesting that my assignments be graded so I can request a transcript be sent over and there be no delay in my graduation date with my university.

    Study.com membership #******** Issue #1:Background:Submitted Assignment #3 for course English 305 on July 25th. Turn-around grading time is supposed to the 5-7 business days.Concern:***** in grading so they can charge me an additional month of payment.Issue #2:Background:Submitted Assignment #2 for English 305 on July 26th. Concern:Submission was returned on August 22nd stating it was not the minimum length. This was incorrect but added words and resubmitted on Aug 23.I have tried to solve extensive grading time periods by submitting support tickets (see attached). I have also been in contact with customer service which representative, *****, stated they are backed up.

    Study.com is refusing to grade my final assignment in an attempt to get me to pay for another month of subscription to their service. There are numerous documented other students experiencing the same bad faith business practices. I paid $230 for this subscription and have submitted 13 assignments prior to this, all of which were graded in a timely manner. I get to my very last class and submit all assignments and then they refuse to grade the very last assignment that makes the class complete so I can send my transcript. The class is Humanities 201. I have submitted multiple support tickets, called the support number, emailed the support line, and have received no help at all. I missed my Sept enrollment deadline due to these deceptive and bad faith business practices. I have had enough points to receive credit for the class since the first assignment was graded. They are holding my transcript hostage by refusing to grade the last assignment and attempting to get me to resubscribe for another month. You can see in my attached photos that they graded my first assignment for this class on 8/11. Then the second one on 8/13. I submitted the 3rd one, the one they refuse to grade, at the same time as the second one. Its now been another week since they last graded the second one. This is deliberate. This is deceptive.

    Study.com has been completely unresponsive and negligent in handling my coursework and grades. As a student on a limited budget and strict timeline, I rely on timely grading and proper communication to continue my education.I completed all required coursework and have contacted Study.com countless times requesting that they grade my final course so I can transfer my credits and enroll at another college. Despite their claim that assignments are graded within a few days, each assignment has taken 23 weeks or longer, and my final course has been sitting ungraded for over a month.Their customer support is essentially nonexistent. They do not respond to most tickets, and when they do, it is with the same generic, canned message blaming high volume. There is no phone support or escalation option. This leaves students completely stranded with no way to resolve urgent academic needs.Because of these delays, I missed my enrollment deadline at my transfer school, which has set me back significantly in my education and career plans. This situation is unacceptable for a company that markets itself as a pathway to higher education.I am not the only student affected. There are numerous similar complaints online describing the same issuesdelayed grading, poor communication, and lack of accountability. Study.coms failure to provide timely grading and responsive support is causing real harm to students who are working hard to improve their lives.I am requesting immediate resolution of my outstanding grade and an investigation into their practices. Students should not be misled into believing they can rely on this company when their systems and support are failing at such a critical level.
