Facebook deleted my Facebook account on Sept 19, 2022. Initially, it appeared that someone tried to post unacceptable material. When I tried to straighten that, Facebook's automatic process did not work, in spite of me following exactly the instructions to recover. Facebook then deleted my account which included many years of valuable materials and pictures. Facebook offered no way to contact a human to try to address the problem, despite multiple submissions of information to validate my identity. I will appreciate your help in: 1) Contacting a human at Facebook to recover the material in the account and to restore the account without delay. 2) File a complaint about the inadequate handling of my efforts to straighten things up.Initial Complaint

At one time I was listed as a seller on Facebook marketplace. I gave my bank account information to them for processing shipping orders. I wish to terminate the selling portion of my Facebook account and all of the links they provide does not allow me to remove my bank account information. I have made repeated attempts to contact someone to get this resolved and all they do is send me a canned response and links that I cannot use to accomplish getting my bank account information removed from the site. All of the links they provide go nowhere for me and I dont have a ability to click to remove my bank account from their system. You cant even call anyone on the phone or they wont even provide an email address to contact someone to get this situation resolved. This is unacceptable. Im not attempting to close my entire Facebook account I just want my bank account information removed from the selling portion of marketplace. Anything you could do to help would be appreciated.Initial Complaint

I am a small business owner in ******, ********. I attempted to create a personal account on Facebook, which is required to create a business-specific page. When attempting to create a personal account, the Facebook website would not allow me to create an account using my real first and last name (***************************). A prompt said that my name, and I am a public entity or company. This is not correct, but there was no information on their website or guidelines that provided a way to remedy this mistake. When I tried creating a personal profile using my first name and my wife's last name (***********************), I was able to do so. However, within hours my account was deactivated with no explanation. I tried to create another account using "******* Rollerr" and yet again I was able to create an account that was deactivated without explanation. To try and remedy this issue through the Facebook processes, I submitted a form with my photo ID displaying my face and full name. There has been no notice provided that the information was accepted and no indication that the request is under review. Even if I were to follow Facebook's instructions to create a page rather than a profile because my name is associated with a public entity or company, a personal account is needed to do so. I have tried calling Facebook and direct messaging on ******** to no avail. Their lack of justification for their actions, and lack of customer care is outrageous and is preventing me from accessing the social benefits of getting exposure (and my company's exposure) to the Facebook community of users.Initial Complaint

I contacted Meta customer support via chat on 08/14/2022 with complaints of my headset not working. I was offered a replacement. The serial number for the original headset is **************. So we shipped it to META and received a replacement about a week later. Upon receving that replacement, we found that the new headset, also did not work. I once again contacted META via chat and was offered to send that one back as well. During that time, i requested a new headset as a replacement, because the previous one that was sent was refurbished. I was told that they could not guarantee that a new one will be sent. I sent the replacement back and got my 2nd replacement in the mail about a week later. The new replacement is not working as well. I again contacted support and was told that there is a known issue with the headsets not connecting to wifi in order to update the headset. There is absolutely no way to use the headset, unless it is updated first, which we cannot do, because it cannot connect to wifi. I was told there is nothing that can be done and to wait. The *** number for this second replacement is ***************Initial Complaint

My name is ************************* and I wanted to address my suspended account. On September 17th I believe my account was hacked and someone gained access to it and posted videos and or photos that could have compromised my accounts. I received an email from Facebook and followed the instructions and inputted my information. Turns out it was a fake email and after inputting my information I received a notification from Facebook asking if I logged in near ****** . Once I clicked it it change from ****** to ***********. Now , I dont live in *********** nor am I close to it I live in **************** which is San Bernardino County, and I click on the yes button only because at the time I thought since Im an hour away from I figured it couldnt exactly pinpoint my location but free clicking yes I get immediately suspended like 15 minutes later. I never posted anything with children thats inappropriate. I have kids and would never exploit children. I dont even have access to see the post that was claimed to be explicit. Im going to attach pictures of what I seen yesterday from the suspicious email that I received yesterday. I hope this can all be figured out soon . I cant contact Facebook at all and Ive sent multiple emails to different support emails and heard nothing. After doing research *** learned that this has been Happening a lot recently. Facebook wont reply to me and it closed all my accounts connected to my personal one including my Instagram account. Ive had my Facebook account since 2009 and have friends and messages on their that arent even alive anymore. This is truly heartbreaking and I wish they had better customer service to get this fixed .Initial Complaint

On Saturday, 9/17, I received a notification on my facebook account that I had violated community standards. The notification looked like it came from facebook, I later on would realize this was actually a hacker. I unknowingly clicked the link and gave them my information, such as my birthdate and phone number. Shortly thereafter the hacker uploaded pornagraphic images of a child to my personal profile. I then received notifications from facebook that I indeed violated community standards, they then asked me to upload a photo of my identification. I uploaded the photo and within 24 hours, I was completely banned from facebook. I could not even make a new profile using a different email address. Thankfully I found a way to get ahold of somebody from Oculus (A VR set made by facebook) to find a way to still access the $100s of dollars in games I bought on my oculus with my facebook profile. They unlinked my profile and I am able to access those games but I was told there are some things on Oculus I will no longer be able to do without a facebook profile. I feel like facebook has treated me as a criminal and allowed the real criminal to continue to run amuck on their platform. I used facebook to stay connected to long distance family and friends, advertise my volunteer groups, and to get help on homework in my kids' class groups. Those have all been taken from me and I can't even speak to a live human at facebook, meta, or instagram about it. They make it impossible to have a chat, email, or a live phone call with them to explain what happened. My trust is gone with facebook, a platform that I used for over 10 years with no problems prior.Initial Complaint

On August 20,2022 my account was hacked. My account was shut down, and I was banned. I appealed the decision, and was deleted. Because I have a business and a charity, I am able to contact business support. They are unable to assist me in reactivating my banned and disabled account. I am also forbidden to make a new account. My employees now have to manage my business pages that I no longer have access to. They deactivate you with a flick of a switch. It should be that simple to reactivate you as well. It's pretty obvious I have no interest in posting disgusting videos to my page, at least help me open a new one vs "forbidding" me to do so. I am sure not advertising anymore with them probably won't hurt them at all. It does seem as though I am not the only one in this boat looking at all of the other complaints they have against them. How can they continue to do business without supporting their customers? Seems like a poor business model to me. They say due to COVID they can't review your account right now. Sounds like a crock of c*** to me.Initial Complaint

My Facebook account was hacked recently. I was able to recover it and change the password but not before the hacker did something that caused my account to get disabled by Facebook. Customer support from ********************** has been non-existent at best and mind numbingly frustrating at worst. It is impossible to get someone to speak to at Facebook and it feels like they treat their consumers with no regard at all.
