Be careful and do not use this app. There are many sniping bot accounts. I made a purchase on Whatnot and asked for a cancellation right away, but the seller refused and immediately marked it as shipped before ending their livestream. The auction appeared manipulated, with sniping activity and fake accounts driving up bids, and the stream showed hundreds of likely fake viewers. After researching on ****** and Reddit, I found many reports that sellers on this platform send counterfeit or cheap items instead of the real products, along with widespread complaints of scams and poor support. It seems like scammers created this app, since ********************************** no longer responds to email support or ****** inquiries. This matches my experience and shows a clear risk to buyers. This app has sellers who rip you off and say they have sent the items you paid good money for but they dont arrive. This has happened to me three times and they refuse to help me find my items or refund me. I think this is not ok to run a business that just steals your money.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Whatnot (Whatnot Inc., ***********, **) due to fraudulent activity on my account, unauthorized package deliveries, and unresponsive customer service. Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues with Whatnot, their lack of assistance has forced me to seek your mediation.Issues Encountered: Unauthorized Packages: I have received multiple packages from Whatnot that I did not order. These arrive at my address in my name, but I have no record of placing these orders, suggesting a possible security breach or identity theft on Whatnots platform. Account Restrictions: ********************** flagged my account as high return despite these purchases being unauthorized. They refuse to allow returns or assist with these packages, leaving me without recourse. Fraudulent Charges: I have disputed several unauthorized charges linked to Whatnot with my bank, recovering some funds. Recently, I discovered additional fraudulent charges on my credit card processed through the Whatnot app, which I did not authorize.I have contacted Whatnots customer support via phone, email, and app chat, providing evidence of the unauthorized activity. Their responses have been unhelpful, failing to investigate, secure my account, or issue refunds. This has caused significant financial stress and potential credit damage.Evidence Provided: Screenshots of unauthorized credit card charges. Photos of packages with shipping labels. Whatnot keeps on banning my channel because my Anime cards "show too much" yet I cover them and they still keep sending me warnings. When I ask them to give me prove on exactly what I did wrong, they give me a generic, Ai generated response but no example of what I did wrong. I have excellent customer service with my clients. 5 start service. But whatnot is making it impossible to do business. Yet, they treat vendors that do these lucky wheels (it's more like gambling in my opinion) like royalty because, after all, money talks and probably these vendors make them tons of money. I have an issue with ************************** in the inability to contact a live representative within the company about issues. I received a response from them stating my return window is closed when in actuality the seller put me off for 3 weeks. I filed my complaint with the seller on the day I received the purchased item. I would like the company to resolve this issue, however I cannot get my grievance heard due to whatnot.coms poorly designed customer service platform. They are stealing money from unsuspecting people. One cannot have a catch all electronic response when there are circumstances that are not being taken into consideration. It is theft. They steal money from people and wait for them to become disheartened and give up with seeking reimbursement. It is theft. They should be concerned with a class action lawsuit.Initial Complaint

I made a purchase, it arrived and was not as described. I messaged the seller the same day and let them know and we continued to message and I tried reaching an agreement with seller who told me to request a refund. I did on day 7 which is what the policy states for a luxury item however whatnot denied my request via email and left the request as pending in my account. Now I cannot request refund again. I submitted an email reply but received no response and the seller is not responding to me now that I told them whatnot denied the refund after stating they apologized for the misinformation on the product and stating they had no issue with refunding me.Initial Complaint

So I recently won a buyers giveaway on the app. The giveaway was for a $800 Prada wallet full inclusion. As per giveaway laws you can fill out a forum to win and they cannot change the prize based on who won and she never sent it to me. Thats illegal and shes not the boy one on the app doing this there several people! On top of all of this whatnot refuses to credit me the giveaway amount I am owed and Ive tried to work with them for 3 weeks and now they are saying it was delivered when it certainly was not.Initial Complaint

There is a seller by the name of KEVINOUTLET and whatnot is refuses to resolve the issue of this seller countless counterfeit items. I have spoken with over 15 other buyers going through the same thing. I have submitted multiple claims, only to get no response, having my claims closed, or being given a shipping label to send back all the items for verification, yet the shipping label provided is not sufficient for the weight. This has happened 3 times. When I ask for a proper shipping label I get my case closed and no response. I have spent over 10 hours of my own time collecting over 100 photos, multiple videos opening the sealed delivered boxes, paid to have items authenticated and still cannot get this issue resolved. Myself and countless other buyers have lost thousands of dollars at this point, while this seller remains active. We have all supplied more than plenty of evidence. Whatnot claims to have a counterfeit policy that that they claim to follow, yet they have allowed this to happen and support only gives you repeated automated message. They are allowing this to happen. I am not just fighting for myself at this point, but all of the other buyer that have now been scammed by whatnot and KEVINOUTLET.
