We moved in July 1 2023 to renew midland apartments. We were told they were going to fix our floors since they were already coming up. That has yet to be done after continuously asking when they would be doing it. We soon discovered as well that there was mold in our dishwasher when we moved in as well. It has not been used once since living here. The *************** has been leaking and a work order has been made and we havent had anyone come fix it that work order was put in weeks ago. Last thing is we notified the apartments that we have scolding hot water for showering and no cold water we have to run the kitchen sink to not have burning hot water when taking a shower.Initial Complaint

I have lived at the renew midland apartments since July 17th 2021, When we first moved in we had no ac what so ever not even a window unit for a week in 100+ weather, over the years I have put in countless work orders and have been given the run around. Our ac constantly freezes up in the middle of the night, doesnt cool what so ever during the day. None of my neighbors have the same issues, this has caused us to have high electric bills into the *******s for our ac to not cool our house not even at night when it gets cooler. I just want it fixed and the apartment wont help us besides tell us everything is fine and any excuse to use as to why it is constantly hot. In the winter the apartment doesnt keep heat in either as it gets down into the 50s with the heat set at 76.Initial Complaint

My apartment complex has committed to providing livable housing and has not been doing so recently. There's a long term on going bug infestation, mold on walls, and has been no working central air conditioning/ventilation for over 48 hours. Before the lack of air conditioning, there was negligence in play regarding a lack of an air filter in the A/C unit.Initial Complaint

I moved in on the June 10th of 2024. The property management keeps sending me messages that rent is due on July 1st. They informed me via text message that I was late with rent on the 5th and claimed that I would be penalized for late rent. However, I moved in on the 10th. Rent from the 1st to the 10th should have been prorated since I moved in on the 10th.Initial Complaint

The Social is the name of the apartment building in *********, **. It primarily consists of upperclassmen college students (************************************ and *****************) students. Additionally, the apartment houses a number of elderly residents. The Social is already expensive to rent monthly. I lived as a tenant in that apartment for 2.5 years (2021-2023). The insane amount of problems I faced with this apartment is unethical. I had no hot OR warm water (shower) for 3 months during the winter months. The only thing the apartment did was send an email stating we should just stay in a hotel until the issue is resolved. The email did not specify anything about reimbursing said hotel stay. The apartment went without electricity many times of the year, especially in the summer months. There was a major flood that occurred during the weekend. Of course, no staff was present to address the issue. It flooded the entire first floor. The plumbing was also damaged all year round. I had to deal with yellow water in the shower and sink multiple times a year. The flooding ruined the floors and walls too.Initial Complaint

The Social North ******* (under the alias of Trinity Properties) charges college students an outrageous amount for housing without maintaining adequate living conditions. Currently the ** has been down for 3 WEEKS and the pool has now been closed due to a leak. Tenants typically complain about mouse and cockroach infestations and the leasing office typically hides fees in the contract and only offer rent credit when called out on it. This is extremely outrageous considering rent is $2200 for a two bedroom apartment.Initial Complaint

My active duty husband and I relocated from ******* to ******* ** in May of 2024. We are living in a complex called Renew at ************ and it is owned by Trinity. As of May 18th we have constantly gotten the run around with this property and dealt with unacceptable living conditions they fail to remedy. It started when we were given a remodeled floor plan to go off on their website after they told us they do not offer any virtual tours since we were still out of state. They assured us that this was the unit we would be getting. Upon arrival the unit looks NOWHERE NEAR how they have units advertised online. We were promised a remodeled space with brand new appliances but instead got an outdated 1980s style living space. Absolutely no transparency as to what it is youre getting! We voiced our disappointment and the property agents offered to move us into another unit in a different building with some remodeling done. But upon getting keys to go inside on 6/1/2024, we discovered that it was INFESTED with German roaches!! All cabinets and rooms were filled with live/crawling roaches and spiders. Our kitchen is not suitable for cooking or storing food. Maintenance also left their trash and belongings behind as if someone was still inside actively working. To top it all off, we found out after the fact that our wall unit A/C is COVERED IN BLACK MOLD all inside the interior! I have a weakened immune system and cannot get sick. My husband and I took photos and showed the property manager but we keep getting broken promises that it will be fixed. How can any property allow tenants to live in a home or apartment with active mold growth? As of today 6/23/24 none of the appliances have been replaced or AC cleaned. We ask that Trinity look into our situation immediately or we will be forced to contact the court system, local news, veterans affairs and whomever else we need to reach out to. We ask for repayment on both out of pocket pest control and our deposit.Initial Complaint
