      LA Fitness signed up my 86 yo father for a membership. They told him he had Sikver Sneakers (he doesnt) & my father advised them to contact my sister. In turn, my sister gave them my information &advised that I am his Power of Attorney (I have copy of text). The person never contacted me and advised my father that theyd take ***** & his insurance would reimburse him.When I called to speak to the manager to resolve the matter the person refused to allow me to speak to manager (said she was in a meeting) and would call me back. I havent received a call back. My father should not have been allowed to sign up for a membership once they realized he had a POA. They should not have lied & told him he was in Silver Sneaker program & that he would be reimbursed (and free moving forward) and coerced him into becoming a member w/o contacting his Power of Attorney.I am interested in disputing ***** & future ********, discontinued membership

      On February 15, 2025, I entered into a personal trainer contract with LA Fitness (****, **) based on the fact that I was promised a female trainer (which was my explicit preference and request). I explicitly told the fitness manager that I wanted a female trainer and he assured me that they were finalizing the paperwork with a female trainer and she was starting that week. Fast forward to the following Saturday and the fitness manger states they were still working out the details of her onboarding so hed be my trainer in the interim while they finalize her start date. Fast forward another week and he states she is not going to be joining so I have to work with a male trainer. I then asked that they terminate the membership because I can go elsewhere to find a female trainer. I write their customer service to get some support and resolution and they direct me back to the same fitness manager. I had to go into the gym twice to see if he was available to confirm the cancellation because he did not call me back to resolve my request to terminate the membership. When I finally catch him in person, he then states that LA Fitness will charge me another month before terminating the contract and in the meantime he would assign me to work out with one of their better trainers. I said ok to the one month but made it clear that I still want the contract terminated after that month. Fast forward they charged my card again today. This is a $3,000 contract! I feel that this gym engages in deceptive practices to reel me in - he blatantly lied about recruiting a female trainer, tried to avoid my request to cancel and obviously had not intention of canceling because he did not put in the paperwork for the termination because Im being charged another month.

      When we signed up back in February of this year they told us the sauna would be back up by the end of the month so we were more inclined to sign up. Its mid April and the sauna isnt fixed. Per ****** reviews the sauna has been out of service for over a year which is ridiculous. How is this not a priority when you know its an amenity your members care about. And also why are sales **** LYING to get people to sign up under false pretenses. Fix the sauna on ******* commons ** spring Texas or give EVERYONE a discount for proving incomplete amenities.

      I signed up for a personal training contract for my wife with ** the head trainer. At that time I did not realize it but they had put it under my name and membership. After utilizing 3 months of the 6 months training I found out I was moving to *********. I continued paying accruing sessions that I was told I could use at any LA fitness in *********. After moving I went to go use training sessions (8 accumulated) and was told by the **ina LA fitness I had to sign up for a new membership to use them. After being charged unnecessarily 195 dollars by the new location I found out my trainings and membership were deleted. I contacted the Bradenton location on 4/7 and the resolution we came up with (between ** and myself over the phone) was I would not be charged the final month of training or my wifes membership charge she hasnt used in 3 months. This was a total of 279 dollars. On 4/13 I saw both charges hit my credit card. I disputed it and contacted LA fitness corporate and the location. ** no longer returns my calls and the corporate office ensured everything was cancelled and refunded. On Saturday (4/19) I received a call from LA fitness in ************ MD that my account had an outstanding balance and late fees of 279 dollars. It is unacceptable that I was charged for 12 sessions ($240x3) of training and it was deleted from my membership at the mistake of the **ina Branch and that I was blatantly lied to by ** the head trainer at the ********* location. This is definitely not how a corporation as big as La fitness should be doing business.

      I go to LA Fitness and the staff constantly steer at me. This has been going on for years. It effects my mental health. I go to different LA Fitness in my area to escape this treatment, but it remains the same.

      We appreciate our members feedback regarding his experience at our clubs. This is not the type of experience we want any of our members to have. The District Operations Manager followed up with Mr. ******** regarding his concerns. Video footage did not show staff staring at him or following him to the bathroom as he claimed on their call. Nevertheless, we informed Mr. ******** to let the Club Manager know should an issue arise and the Club Manager has already addressed his concerns with club staff

      Hello, on 4/16/2025 I had visited the City Sports website and noticed an advertisment for a free 3 days pass for the City Sports club in ***********. I filled out the form and gave all my information on the website and hit submit. An email was sent to me with a QR code When I entered the gym later in the day , the reception scanned my barcode and told me to wait for a sales person.The sales person started out by saying the pass is for a training session and no trainers are around.The advertisosment says "Free 3 day pass" They charged my CC $20 for the pass.

      We appreciate our Mr. ****** feedback regarding his experience. This is not the type of experience we want any of our guests to have. City Sports Club followed up with him regarding his concerns. We will be refunding the $20 that he was charged for the day (please allow 3-5 business days for the refund ). We also sent him a 21-day guest pass for the inconvenience and a Friends and Family membership rate should he choose to join

      I went into the gym to cancel my membership and the people behind the counter refused to process my request. I put a hold on my credit card and now they are threatening me with late fees at least 3 or 4 times a day. I spoke to someone from corporate and they also refused to cancel my membership. I can't cancel in person and I can't cancel on the phone. This is high pressure scamming.

      I received the voicemail that LA Fitness has agreed to terminate my membership as requested, and this is an acceptable response in reference to complaint ID ********. It is terrible that this company makes a practice of making it difficult for memberships to be canceled and resorts to threats of late fees when you try to cancel.

      The sauna has been out of service for over a year, some people say multiple years, every month I asked when it will be fixed and they say by the end of the month, it is part of the monthly membership and they still advertise it. Today they got new furniture but refuse to fix the sauna.

      The sauna has been down for years and they are still advertising for it and also have raised therre prices. if there is a known issue with them, the maschines should be replaced,  there gyms ared always full they make moree than enough money to replace them.

      Business Name: LA Fitness Aventura, **]Category: Unsafe Conditions / Misleading Practices / Harassment > I was a member of this gym and experienced criminal harassment by another member, which I reported multiple times to the manager and assistant manager. Despite my complaints, the gym management failed to take action and instead appeared to protect the individual, possibly due to personal bias or ************* a separate incident, I fractured my arm inside the gym in ************************************************************************************************************************* pain. The gym made me sign a contract that removed their responsibility, despite my severe injury.The management created a hostile environment by ignoring safety issues, enabling inappropriate behavior inside the gym, and failing to address member complaints. I believe this is unethical and potentially discriminatory.I am requesting a formal investigation, written acknowledgment of my complaint, and either resolution, a refund, or contract cancellation without penalties.

      2 months ago I have signed up on a family plan with my daughter for LA fitness. We paid $200 as a family plan and was under the impression that we would be good for a couple months. The following month, I'm getting charges to my account and phone calls every day asking for another $200. I then informed them that I want to cancel the account since I've only been there a handful of times and $400 into months is beyond what I was expecting. So I've been talking to them everyday for the last 2 months asking them to cancel my account but they are charging me everyday I'm getting notifications that my account is declining and I'm going to have to get a new card because they charge every day. On April 11th 2025 they took out an $89 and I talked to ****** the manager, who informed me at the time that because she was unable to give me the refund that she will be able to waive the rest of the money that apparently I owe after being informed by the staff there that I have canceled several times. They looked it up in the system and they knew that I had spoke to several people and that I have tried to cancel it. Today I got another charge after I spoke with the manager about this being canceled.

      LA Fitness tried contacting Ms. ****** several times regarding her concerns but we have not heard back from her. As of the time of this response, her membership has been cancelled with no further billing, we waived the outstanding balance for the annual fee and Aprils monthly dues and we provided her with a refund for Marchs monthly dues
