I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received regarding my membership cancellation. I signed up for a membership on July 17, 2024, and attended the gym for the first time on July 18, 2024. However, after careful consideration, I decided to cancel my membership and went in person to do so on July 19, 2024.During my visit, I spoke with an associate named ****, who assisted me in the cancellation process. Despite my request, it appears that the cancellation was not completed as expected. I regret that I did not ask for proof of cancellation at that time, as I sensed that **** was not enthusiastic about processing my request.On September 17, 2024, I returned to the gym to follow up on my cancellation. Upon speaking with both **** and the manager, I was disappointed to learn that **** claimed he did not remember our previous interaction. Furthermore, I was informed that they were unwilling to refund the membership fee of $154 that had been charged to my account.This situation has caused me significant frustration and disappointment. I believe that as a customer, I deserve to have my requests handled professionally and to receive clear communication regarding my membership status. I kindly ask for your assistance in resolving this matter promptly and for a refund of the $154 fee.Thank you for your attention to this issue. A personal trainer was inappropriate and verbally abusive over text. I sent this information to LA fitness headquarters. No one replied and theyre still charging me money and Im terrified to go back because this gentleman is possibly dangerous. I want my money back and theyre still charging me. I would suggest not joining any LA fitness establishment. They ignored my concerns not sure if they took any actions against the trainer. He could still be working, which is a danger to women.Review from Tysean K

Did the intro training session when I signed up for membership in October 2023. The staff tried to sell me on continue the personal training. And my response was I DO NOT want an additional bill right now. The director of the personal training program and a trainer said "oh no you can just try it this month and see if you want to continue. Afterwards found out that this is a monthly re-occurring charge for $180 to my account. When I asked to be remove and if it would be possible to get refunded this money. I was told they would have to take an additional $540 to cancel this program. At this point I'm still waiting to be exited from this and I am out of $1800.Review from Joseph S

Went into the gym 2x called 2x emailed 2x to cancel our membership. Now been charged 2 straight months after we requested cancellation. Is anyone else experiencing this? I bet there is a class action lawsuit the people could form because this is just bad business. Now we've been told we have to wait a week for the membership guy to get back in. This business preys on vulnerable Army Combat veterans. I was forced to sign a contract and was told I would only be charged about 200 dollars. The company then charged me 380 twice and wanted more. Even though I informed them of the mistake and asked them to either honor the original rate the Head trainer assured me of or cancel it completely, they ignored my emails and calls. They only finally answered when i continued contacting them and they were of no help and were very disrespectful.Review from Odelia K

I was recommended by doctor to discontinue personal training and do physical training. Texted this to trainer and she texted me back saying that my back pain was because I did not continue training with them and that my back pain will improve when I do more sessions with them. I called corporate and told them of this incident and they have failed to address this issue and further recommended that I schedule with a different trainer. Telling clients to ignore their doctor's orders and implying that their service is more superior is deceptive and fraudulent.Review from Joshua T

Havent lived in ********** for over a 6 months. The state I live doesnt have LA fitness and so Ive called to try and cancel the membership. They have always told me I have to show up in person to do that. So for over 6 months now they have been charging me for something I dont use. Today I got a call from billing and I find out that they were lying this whole time. That it was as easy as them just transferring me over to billing to cancel it all. You guys are a piece of work I tell you. Horrible!Review from Nick P

The lock on my locker was cut and my locker was broken into with $300 cash stolen out of my bag. The club told me they have no cameras inside or outside of the club and cannot do anything. This is insane they do not even know who is in their gym because the guy at the front desk was not paying any attention to anyone coming in the club. Didn't check multiple people to see if they were scanning in and instead was tending to his dog behind the desk. Why the heck was there a dog in there to begin with. Now I am out $300 and plan to now cancel my membership after being a loyal patron for over 15 years.Review from Stan H

The ************* 7th St location and management is perhaps the worst in the **************** and in *****. I had someone break into my locker during one of my workouts and notified staff, police, and even called corporate. After calling and speaking with the general manager, he unsympathetic takes no fault and does nothing to own the issue of a same reoccurring event of theft in mens locker room. Again, a thief that is either a member or guest is repeatedly stealing and staff not taking any action to resolve this issue. This time 3 of us got broken into during same hour and thief stoled cash from other individuals and myself. I told him that everyone on his staff dropped the ball. I suggested that they should take more rounds in the mens locker room to prevent this to affect other members. He carelessly, unapologetic, and without any empathy denied ownership of incident and hangs up the phone on me. This is bad in many ways. I hope members of this club read this review and take careful measures while storing and using the mens locker room with a thief that knows scheduling and how bad this staff is disconnected from safety.Review from Anthony P

Staff at desk very lethargic, sarcastic and irresponsible. Entire club is out of paper towels, nothing anywhere on the gym floor and none in locker rooms, I see that as a health violation very disgusting. Mens shower area always filthy, old nasty clothes always left behind, smells bad, nats and mosquitos present. Absolutely unacceptable for this company
