  I attempted to do a PeopleWhiz search of myself. Although I was unable to view my report without paying for a membership, I saw that it allegedly contained several criminal records. I have never been accused of, let alone convicted of a crime. In fact, I am a former prosecutor who does not have a record of even so much as a traffic ticket. When I tried to remove this incorrect information from the site, I was asked to submit my drivers license number or a photo ID. I am not willing to provide such personal information to a company publishing such false reports, but I want my fictitious information immediately removed from their site.

  I am currently going through all of the shady businesses that sell the personal information of others on the internet, requesting each of these myriad businesses remove my information from their sites. PeopleWhiz is requiring that I either mail, fax, or upload an image of my government-issued identification. No other company does this, and this is not a valid request. They didn't request an ID to sell my information online to the highest bidder, and they do not get one from me now. I demand that they remove all of my information from their website and honor my decision to "opt out" of their business practices. I also want, in writing, their confirmation that not only is my information removed, but that they not ever offer it again in the future. Lastly, I request that the information I am providing the BBB for my request not be given to PeopleWhiz.com.Thank you so much. I appreciate your time.

  I found my information on peoplewhiz website and it caused me lots of scams. I tried to remove my info from the peoplewhiz but they asked me to send a copy of my ID. I do not feel comfortable sending a copy of my ID to them especially since I have not asked them to add my information to their website

  This site is selling my private info to people without my consent. I tried to remove my info from the site and they required my ID, which would expose more of my info to them.

  I want this company to remove all of my data from their database. The website requires an ID for them to process a removal, but I don't feel safe providing a copy of my driver's license, nor am I required to by law for them to remove my data.   My Norton security software alerted me to sites where my husband, daughter, and my personal information is being shown and or sold and People Whiz is one of them. While filling out the opt-out requests, one of the steps is to provide a copy of our ID. We are not comfortable uploading/providing our drivers licenses since we are requesting our information be removed from public searches in order to try to avoid any sort of scams, and we dont know if the request from People Whiz is a type of scam. I can provide the links to the information they have on us, as well as any other identifying information they may need to help with resolving my request/complaint.We would just like our information removed without having to upload our IDs.

  Peoplewhiz is selling my information without my consent. In order to remove my info from their database they require an ID. They are a shady data scraping company and I don't want to send any information that can compromise my credit.

  I have tried to remove my personal information from PeopleWhiz.com and its affiliated websites but they are forcing me to provide a copy of my ID. I would not like any more of my information out there - so I don't understand why this is a requirement. Please assist with this issue because I believe this is a gross violation of my privacy rights.

  I want my records removed from this website. I have attempted to make a request several times, and unlike any other website I have ever used, this website requires you to upload a photo ID to have your own information removed. This, in and of itself, seems shady. I don't need random strangers receiving a copy of my ID. On top of that, every time I attempt to upload my passport and/or my drivers license, I get an error message that the file is too big, or the website crashes. This is not my first rodeo with this website. I went through the same thing a few years ago, when I attempted to mail a copy of my ID, and it was returned. I want my records removed and I want a note made NOT to re-upload them.

  I have requested my personal information be removed from their website. I was told to send them a copy of my identification. Im not giving them more personal information! When people request their private information be removed, that should be done, no questions asked.
