1 starRing has failed my family, it doesn't pick up ANY motion we need to be recorded for police to file reports . Our cars have been hit , keyed , and the other half of the duplex we live in had an explosion (meth lab) and it didn't pick any of this up.....but it had no problem "working" when I move my blinds...no matter what settings they say will help support doesn't know what to do to fix anything. They love blaming you, or your internet, or the device itself for why it's failing at doing its ONLY JOB "protecting" what you've paid for....I'm buying another camera name brand that doesn't require a subscription that will actually help keep my family safe AND can't be hacked so creeps can look at my children.Ring

2 starsWhile Ring offers convenient and user-friendly video doorbells with good picture quality, their customer service can be frustratingly unresponsive and often blames user issues for problems with the app or device functionality, leading to a disappointing experience when troubleshooting issues; additionally, the subscription fees for cloud storage can add up quickly.". Key points to consider:Pros:Easy setup, good camera quality, wide viewing angle, motion detection.Cons:App glitches, inconsistent notifications, poor customer service response time, reliance on subscription for cloud storage, potential privacy concerns, inconsistent streams from cameras, theres a mode to ignore small pets but this option has failed in each attept to use. One last con is the significant price increase. Current pricing is $100 for a year subscription and the bundle includes real time monitoring. New pricing is $100 for a year subscription plus $100 for monitoring. I feel like this was a move known to the company owner upon purchase but it was yhe reason we spent the money on 6 cameras, a doorbell, 3 motion sensors, 8 window sensors, 2 keypads, a water sensor. Now the sos is no longer part of the protection bundle so buyer beware!Ring

1 starI opened my account in 2023 with Professional Monitoring but downgraded to Self-Monitoring that same year. The company began charging my account for Professional Monitoring in November 2024, though this was not obvious when logging into the app. I reached out to customer service and requested a refund, and though they confirmed this change was made without my consent, I was told the only recourse was to file a dispute with my financial institution, which I have done.Ring

1 starI placed my order yesterday, received the order confirmation and payment confirmation emails immediately. Today I logged into my Ring account to see the order status under "Order History". My order wasn't there. I tried online chat support thinking this would be an easy fix. I clearly stated that I could not see my order under my order history. I then had to play 20-questions with the person that asked silly things like, "Did you use a different email for the order? Have you tried a different browser?" Next they said I will receive a shipping confirmation once it ships. I didn't ask for when my order would ship, I wanted to know why my order wasn't listed under my order history. It was like listening to a broken record. At one point the representative asked me what page I was looking at! I LITERALLY STATED I COULD NOT SEE MY ORDER UNDER MY ORDER HISTORY. After the terrible chat, I ended it and decided to call customer support. My nightmare from online chat support repeated itself, but over the phone this time. At one point someone must have figured out the problem was on their end because suddenly the order appeared under my order ********** second issue is the ambiguous generation information for the products on their online store. There are several products on the website that have different product generations. Many parts and accessories have notes stating what generation they are compatible with. Guess what they don't tell you. They don't tell you what generation the products belong to (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.)! There are several products where they say, "Thisis now known as ", but they don't say what generation the product belongs to. I had to look on Reddit to get the right product generation info so I could order the right devices and accessories.First time customer. I only placed my order yesterday and I'm already regretting the decision to use Ring even though my order hasn't shipped yet! Ring

1 starThis company is horrible. I have 6 Ring cameras and a paid plan. Yet after adding more cameras to my account they have decided to bug me about upgrading my account every single time I open the app. This effectively cripples the effectiveness of the account. Even weeks later I still have to dismiss the notice EVERY SINGLE TIME. I contacted customer service but was told there was no way to change this behavior. So essentially I am being punished for buying more of their products? Unbelievable! What a *************.Ring

3 starsOverall I think the Ring service is not bac for the money and convenience. My issue has been with the Ring App and it's customer service. The App is just horrible! I have a new phone (upgraded) top tier internet service, and yet I still have missed, late notifications. The app only counts up to 22, after that it just stops notifying you. Then there's customer service (or the lack of) It's never Ring's fault....your internet *****....your phone *****. And lastly, the ads that pop up during notifications! I had 3 of my front cameras go off at the same time, but I couldn't see what was happening because Ring has decided to use those moments to try and sell you more freaking cameras!Ring

1 starAfter selling our home in August of 23, we canceled our account with ring. In December of 23 we were charged for the service for another year. Contacting them, we were refunded the full amount. Again in December 24, another charge for $99.99. Contacting them again we were assured the account would be closed and a refund would be automatic. The problem was, they only refunded $91.67. Therefore causing a late charge from the credit card company. We feel as though their accounting department needs to be better supervised and be held accountable. Oh, their products are above average.Ring

1 starThey shipped an out of stock item (camera minus the faceplate) because the faceplate was out of stock instead of just listing the camera as out of stock. Only offer was to wait indefinitely for it to come back into stock or take a downgrade and eat the difference. ****** customer service and lacking any quality control.Ring

1 starRing automatically updated my camera software 2 MONTHS ago. The new version is not compatible with my *********************** Router and stopped communication. I have spent HOURS on the phone with ring trying to resolve the problem and even had *********************** out to my residence TWICE.RING CONFIRMED a compatibility problem with my router.I asked to talk to a supervisor and was DISCONNECTED.I want the problem fixed or a TOTAL REFUND.Ring

1 starI have spent the last month working with Ring on trouble shooting my doorbell. On October 10th I called customer service and asked for assistance. They tried to help me - I was able to pull the doorbell away enough to press the orange button, but it still did not work. Since I didnt have the screwdriver to take the unit off the wall the said that they would send me a replacement screwdriver. They never sent ***** I finally ordered one off the internet. I called them today - and after hours with customer service, and my internet provider - it became apparent that I had a bad doorbell.On October 10th my doorbell was under warranty - they said today it is not under warranty!!!!They will not replace my doorbell - even though they have a paper trail leading back to October 10th which was clearly within the warranty period!!!If I could rate them a zero star - I would. This is the first time in my life I ever wrote a review on the Better Business Bureau.I couldnt be more frustrated with Ring!!Ring
