Do not use Stamps.com I tried the site to print a stamp and it auto registered for a monthly account. Tried multiple times to cancel account. There is no clear way to do this. I called, used the chat, followed the "instructions" which just are just an endless loop. When you call they hang up on you. Charged me hundreds of dollars. I finally had to cancel my credit card to get them to stop charging me. Beyond Horrible.Stamps.com

Dear *****,
Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate and consider your feedback and take our customers concerns very seriously. We do consider the fees charged to be valid and appropriate. We do show that your account was closed on 3/27/24. However, rest assured that we have issued a courtesy refund of $233.88 to your credit card on 3/29/24.
We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our billing structure. We show that you activated an account with us on 6/22/20. We do fully disclose our billing structure and fees prior to creating an account, and all users must select a pricing level and agree to our fees prior to account creation.
To create and fully activate a Stamps.com account, our multi-step registration process must take place at our website of www.stamps.com. Registration requires you to enter your name, mailing address, phone number and credit card information, in addition to creating a username and password and selecting two security questions. Also, you must review and agree to our Terms and Conditions:
www.stamps.com/conditions
We do show a Welcome Email was sent to your email address on 6/22/20. We do disclose our fee information at our site and during registration. We are not set up for one-time purchases and we do not advertise or offer a free or pay-as-you-go service. We hear your concerns and we always fully disclose our fees before any account can be created. As disclosed and explained during registration, we do charge a monthly fee after the 4-Week Trial Period, which ended on your account on 7/21/20.
Our service fee is not based on usage or activity. The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer. Our service is a monthly subscription service so its not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.
We believe in full disclosure, and information about our fees is available on our website, interface, Terms, and FAQs.
During registration for a Stamps.com account, we explain that your credit card will not be charged unless you continue past the four-week trial or buy additional postage and Online Store products. We believe the monthly fee provides a good value for customers who need to print not only just Priority and Priority Express Mail shipping labels, but also Shipping Labels for other classes, NetStamps, and postage printed directly on envelopes. We do have a wide variety of customers - over ************* customers- who enjoy the experience of not having to rely on expensive postage meters and who require more functionality and features than what other PC ******* services currently offer.
On our main page at www.stamps.com, we explain our fees under the section "Here's how it works..." During the registration process we do make sure that our customers are aware of the monthly service fee in that we have it detailed on the webpage titled Why do you need my credit card information?
We do this so that customers can see the price before they complete the registration process. We also have the billing policy detailed in our Terms and Conditions at:
www.stamps.com/conditions
Customers are required to review and agree to these Terms prior to completing registration.
In addition, potential customers can review and compare our pricing plans, as well as other important information, to determine which plan best meets their mailing needs via the Learn More section which is accessible from the Stamps.com home page. We offer FAQs that answer questions about pricing, plans, and specific and general benefits of using Stamps.com:

Tricked (as another reviewer wrote). I had entered my credit card to order first class stamps last Spring which I intended to be a one-off. Apparently, I was enrolled (not intending to) into a free trail that converted to a monthly ProPlan- which with tax - is $21.76 a month. I only realized this today, and immediately cancelled my subscription online. This is 3 days into the month for which I am being charged the full amount or a service fee of $21.This is my worst online experience. I purchased the stamps just for personal use (I am not a business) and I am now out $200 (!). In short, I would not go anywhere near this business ever again. It seems to be a business model that is predicated on tricking people into signing up for monthly charges rather than for the services this company purportedly provides.Stamps.com

Stamps.com required entering credit card information when all I wanted to do was see if I could buy stamps. A few weeks later, I had a recurring charge on my credit card. Beware and do not use this "service" unless you are clear it is a service that you will be charged for when you don't get anything from it. Then to top it off they make you CALL THEM ONLY M-F PST from 6-6 in order to cancel the ** recurring charge. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE CROOKS!Stamps.com

Signed up before Christmas because I was considering using it to mail cards. I got an email confirmation saying free starter kit for $0.00, nothing else ordered or pending. I ended up not making any purchases. A month later they charged me $19.99. I called and they said just by signing up you have a monthly subscription just like ******** I pointed out that I never signed up for such a thing and moreover on the website it says I have no active subscriptions.Stamps.com

I was changed for $200 for the service I never used. I was trapped to sign up their account by misleading advertising. I never used their service. I tried to cancel my account for right after my accidental subscription, but the business owner does not allow customers to do so through account as they claimed. I would request investigation on this business wrongdoing on not being able to stop the subscription.Stamps.com

1 starStamps.com took money from my account and couldn't tell me why. They said they "think" there is an adjustment from ***** but couldn't say what, why, or how much. I think it is unacceptable for a company to take money from an account, without being able to justify why.I actually not only think it is morally wrong, but borders on not being legal. All customer service wanted to do was to tell me how to ship a packages. I ship packages all the time and understand about adjustments, but this "unknown" adjustment they took over $130 - no adjustment is ever that high.I think stamps.com should refund the money until they can tell me what the charge is for - they refused and felt I was unreasonable (they said I complain a lot about adjustments - which I nearly always win) they thought it was reasonable for me to send them more money to my account and wait until they work out why they took the money.Just unbelievable - maybe they will send me a few hundred dollars and I will tell them later what the money was for. Sure they must think this is fair then.Review fromElle M

1 starI was charged $23.99 for the membership even though they monthly plan I "selected" was $19.99. I didn't even choose a plan, I made an account and never used it again. I deleted my account as was charged $9.53 for no reason with no context. I would like my money back...
