1 starWasted and hour of my time in a revolving cycle with the automated system to get nothing. You cant talk to a human for tech support and I call the business line to get help for tech support. They said they cant help or answer questions. My only question was is something wrong with the website. They refused to answer and there isnt anything on the website saying anything. They know how to waste time and be less efficient. Great job.Experian Consumer Services

1 starDishonest about cancellation policy. I made a reservation with the assurance I could cancel up until the reservation, and then Experian refused to let me cancel, giving me no way to do it myself online or over the phone. They violated their own cancellation policy and are acting like they don't understand why I want a refund.Experian Consumer Services

1 starThis is the absolute worst of the three credit bureaus. Always two months or more behind in reflecting changes in your score and they are consistently 30 to 40 points lower than Equifax and TransUnion with the very same information. Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against this company for costing consumers money with their low credit scores.Experian Consumer Services

Your FICO(R) Score is calculated based on the data in your credit report at the time you request your credit report and score. Every time you request a new score, a new credit report is pulled, and your new score is calculated based on the information in your credit report, up to once a day. Be aware, your credit report may change often. Differences in your score may be due to a change in balance on one or more of your credit cards, payment updates, or the addition of new accounts. Even the fact that your account(s) is one month older can affect your score. If there are inaccuracies on your credit report, these could also be affecting your score and should be disputed directly with the credit-reporting agency providing that information. In general, there are many factors that can affect an individuals credit score, such as payment history, current debt, available credit to debt ratio, etc. The actual scoring model and its calculations are proprietary to Fair ***** Corporation. Credit scores are usually calculated based on the combination of all the credit factors in your credit report. Your credit score is not based solely on one single item or behavior. Here, the score that is provided as part of your membership is the FICO(R) 8 model based on Experian(R) data. It is a score that many lenders use in the credit application decision-making process. FICO(R) Scores, ranging from 300 to 850, are developed by Fair ***** Corporation which specializes in developing credit-scoring systems for lenders and other businesses. This can help you see and understand how lenders may view your credit worthiness. It is used by many lenders and is indicative of your overall credit risk. Certain industries may use custom credit scores that are tailored to their specific needs. The custom scores may be unique to a specific industry, such as mortgage lending or auto lending. These custom scores may be created based on information found in credit reports together with other information from the lenders own portfolio, such as account history. The score analysis section that comes with your FICO(R) Score should help you understand what specific credit factors had a positive and negative affect on your FICO(R) Score.Review fromYalonda D

1 starNear impossible to speak with a live agent. When I was connected to a live agent, she disconnected the call when I explained my issue. We apologize for any inconvenience our hold times caused you. We show that you successfully were able to remove your freeze on January 9, ****. The creditor was able to successfully pull a copy of your credit report to further assist you. We recently updated our processes for administering security freezes. To add or remove a security freeze online, a consumer must visit www.experian.com/freeze. Existing Experian members will be prompted to sign into their membership. Non-members will be prompted to create a free membership in Experian CreditWorksSM Basic or to create an Experian Service Account. ************************************************** Basic is a free product that provides consumers access to their Experian credit report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, along with monitoring alerts which are updated daily. 1 starI was called by an individual claiming to be an employee of Experian. He stated my credit profile was compromised and someone in ******** tried to open two credit cards using my social security number and other personal information. It sounded legitimate and the individual stated he was resolvong the issue for me. After he allegedly removed nefarious identity theft, he stated to hold the line while I transfer to the validation department. When on the line with the vaildation department, the individual appeared to have access to all of my financial records. It then became apparent to me that services which I did not want or need were being pushed by the individual. I would have just left it there as an agressive sales person and terminated the call. However, the Experian employee called back and stated "that the credit card companies were illegally charging us high interest rates and that our allowance of that was also illegal". He suggested that what I was doing was "illegal" by not allowing him to service the credit card debt. I was appalled. It was like a bolier room sales pitch. Experian needs to change thier methods of hard selling to senior citizens. I publish this statement so other senior citzens do not subscribe to services they do not want or need. When I attempted to follow up with Experian to determine the validity of the call, it was impossibe to speak to any representive.********Experian Consumer Services

1 starExperian is far away the worst of the 3 bureaus to deal with. Their website consistently throws errors when trying to log in, and provides a phone number that does not let you speak with a human, but continually redirects you to their broken website. I am INFURIATED that I cannot access my account when they are stewards of my information. Worse yet, they are bad stewards: because their data is outdated, someone fraudulently applied for credit in my name using information over a decade outdated. I cannot even log into the website to process a dispute or update my info.Experian is a garbage company and I hate that I have no choice but to interact with them.Experian Consumer Services
