Horrible company. There is no way that I found in 3 hours via the automated voice response system and another 2 hours of searching the web on how to get to a live person.I, as a consumer should be able to opt of of this unprofessional, just crappie company. I am trying to unlock my credit report as I am attempting to refi and because their website is a POS and you can not speak to someone I needed to spend $75.00 to overnight the information that I already entered into their website. The need to take over by someone who has a clue how to run a business, and if they are receiving government money, the should be de-funded today!!

Thank you for bringing up your concerns regarding Experian(R). We appreciate your feedback and have noted your concerns. There is no Experian membership for you showing on our **************************** website. We recently updated our processes for administering security freezes. To add or remove a security freeze online, a consumer must visit ***************************************************************. Existing Experian members will be prompted to sign into their membership. Non-members will be prompted to create a free membership in Experian CreditWorksSM Basic or an Experian Service Account. ************************************************** Basic is a free product that provides consumers access to their Experian credit report and FICO(R) Score daily, along with monitoring alerts that are updated daily. In contrast, an Experian Service Account does not involve enrollment in a membership. It is an online portal through which consumers may log in to manage a security freeze, submit disputes, and review dispute results. If consumers cannot or choose not to access our online services, they can contact us by phone *************) or by mail (ECA, ****************************).

I attempted to contact Experian to remove a freeze that I had placed on my credit, in order to apply for solar panels. I tried to log onto my Experian Acct via their website..But the site said my password was incorrect. (I use two password managers, and they both agreed it was correct). They offered an alternative login method. That method offers to send a text, or a voice mail. Both times, and on the "try again" option, I never received a text or a phone call, despite the ** system assuring me that they had texted or called.. I attempted to call Experian, as an alternative. AG**N, it offered to send me text links, and/or instructions for sending a mail (via ***** to unfreeze my credit. AG**N, I received no texts or calls. The system offers absolutely no way for a consumer to reach a human being, who might understand the problem and assist. The system sincerely tells you how much they are dedicated to securing your data, but, apparently they also mean to secure your credit from yourself. I called at least 5 times. There is NO WAY to get through to a human. I kinda feel that this violates the civil rights of poor people who don't have texts, but, that isn't me, so, let that pass. (BTW, on the chance the problem was on my end, I removed ALL BLOCKED numbers for calls and texts, and disabled my automatic screening agent, so that it wouldn't get sidelined, if they were really trying, even contacted my provider to see if there was somethign there.) I went online to see if I was in the minority, but Experian has innumerable complaints about not talking to a person. Most of those are about disputing a charge, again, not my issue. I simply cannot find a way to reset a password without requiring a text message that apparently Experian cannot send to me. (or isn't sending to me.) I would love nothing more than for them to contact me so that I can access my account to unfreeze my credit. (for comparison, both Equifax and ********** were easy to temporarily unfreeze my credit.)

To Whom It May Concern (or apparently no one at Experian cares anyway),I am writing this pathetic excuse of a letter because, clearly, following the law and protecting consumer rights is not on Experians to-do list. After YEARS of negligence, mismanagement, and blatant disregard for actual factual information, I am beyond fed up.Experian, you had ONE JOB: to manage consumer credit files accurately and responsibly. But instead, youve managed to become the poster child for how NOT to run a credit bureau. Youve allowed false data to fester in your system like its a garbage dump, ruining lives and causing endless financial damage to people who didnt ask for your incompetence.Even after the **** (you know, the federal agency that exists because of companies like you) investigated and found you were violating consumer protection lawswhat did you do? NOTHING. You basically said, Cool story, bro, and went right back to doing business as usualby which I mean messing up peoples files, ignoring disputes, and acting like youre above accountability.Your dispute resolution process is a joke. Ive seen toddlers handle conflicts with more maturity and accuracy. And your customer **********************? Ive had more productive conversations with a dial ******** are failing. Repeatedly. Spectacularly. And its not just frustratingits dangerous. Real people are suffering while you keep shrugging like its not your ********** betteror at least pretend to care that you're trashing the lives of the people you claim to serve.Sincerely (but not respectfully),A disgusted and furious consumer

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding Experian(R) CreditWorksSM. Credit bureaus maintain separate records of consumers information. The credit bureau will ask the company or creditor (where possible) to check their records to verify the disputed information. I've been using experian for many years and never had any complaints until now. They made their login very predatory so that you can accidentally sign up for their free trial without realizing it. Went to cancel only to find out ive already been charged for the next month. I canceled it immediately but customer ********************** won't give a refund for the next month even though I haven't used it. Very shady business practices and customer ********************** is horrible. I'm done using experian now and will go somewhere else. Definitely done recommending them to anyone now.

Thank you for writing and expressing your concern regarding your membership with Experian(R) CreditWorksSM. Our records indicate that you ordered a trial membership on July 3, 2025. The membership was not cancelled; consequently, in accordance with the published terms of our offer, the credit card provided was charged our monthly membership fee on July 11, 2025. Per your request, your paid benefits will cease, effective August 11, 2025. You will continue to have access to your Experian(R) credit report and FICO(R) Score once every 30 days, at no charge to you. Our website describes the offer, and the order form details the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing at the end of the trial and monthly thereafter unless and until the customer notifies us of their wish to discontinue. The consumer agrees to these terms when submitting their order. We have, as a courtesy, issued a refund totaling $24.99 on July 14, 2025. Horrible predatory practices. I'm constantly bombarded with new credit cards and loans to apply for. The boost is joke and doesn't properly apply utility payments. I put in a dispute and within a day responded that it was a legitimate collection. Further my Experian is 80 points lower all my other scores. While I understand they use a different scoring method, there's zero reason for an 80 point difference. Everyone goes through hard times and this disparity makes it harder to recover and rebuild your life. A 5 year old (pandemic) bankruptcy and an almost 2 year old missed payment due to a layoff should not cause an 80 point difference which destroys someone credit to the point they can't get a decent intrest rate or qualify for certain loans because lenders go by the lowest score. People are not criminals simply because they get get laid off or have another life event that causes a bankruptcy or missed payment.

Experian membership is a scam so that Experian can steal from consumers who are just trying to monitor their finances. The membership can only be canceled by a live phone agent. Their hours are extremely limited, so if you work a normal day job, you will have to take a day off to get through. Even if you can call when they are open, the ** will make it nearly impossible to get to a live agent. Meanwhile, months of them STEALING from their customers go by and there is nothing the customers can do. If you finally reach an agent, they will hard sell and delay canceling. Protect yourself. Do NOT use Experian's trial.

YOU CAN'T EVER TALK TO ANYONE. My name change was messed up when I got married and I couldn't get approved for my house loan because of this. No website options cover this and it needed to be handled immediately. Customer ********************** will never give you an agent. No matter what you say it routes you through an automated service and hangs up on you telling you to check the website. This should NOT he allowed for a credit bureau that MOST LOANS go through and the public DOES NOT have a choice about.
