Im reaching out to dispute an account thats currently showing on my credit report. I need you to certify, with full accuracy and confidence, that every single piece of data tied to this account actually belongs to me including but not limited to the account number, payment history, balances, dates, and all identifying details. If you cannot fully verify and certify that this account and all of the information attached to it is 100% accurate and legitimately tied to me, then you are obligated to delete the entire account from my ********************** report immediately.Let me be very clear: Im not asking whether the account looks familiar. I have formally disputed multiple charged-off accounts with all three major credit bureaus several times. Each time, Ive clearly and lawfully requested proper verification under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including the original signed contract (wet signature), full itemized payment history, chain of custody if the debt was sold, and the name of the party who verified the information.Instead of receiving actual documentation, I continue to get generic responses that the accounts were verified or updated, without any proof. No bureau or furnisher has provided a single document I requested. This violates 15 U.S.C. 1681i and 1681s-2(b).I have already submitted complaints to the **** BBB, and previous CFPB filings, because despite my repeated, reasonable, and lawful efforts, Im not receiving the verification Im entitled to. Im now questioning whether these agencies, especially the BBB, are even helping, considering how many times Ive disputed. These unverifiable accounts should be removed as errors under the law. Since no legal documents that I ask to be provided was provided.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 07/17/2025

Yes, I personally submitted the complaints to Experian regarding the charge-off accounts currently being reported on my credit profile.

These complaints were made after multiple failed attempts to obtain proper verification and documentation of the alleged debts from Experian. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), I have the right to dispute any information I believe to be inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable. Experian has continued to report these charge-offs without providing adequate proof of the original creditors documentation, contractual agreement, or itemized statements validating the debt.

I submitted the complaints in good faith, in accordance with my consumer rights, and after following proper dispute procedures. I also followed up with additional reports through the ************************************ (****) and the ************************ (***) due to the lack of transparency and failure to properly investigate or respond with legally sufficient validation.

This is not an attempt to avoid responsibility, but a legitimate effort to ensure the information being reported about me is fully accurate and lawfully verified nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond and clarify.

      Better Business Bureau:

This response is unacceptable and evasive. I did not file this complaint with the BBB as a substitute for submitting a dispute through ******** portal. I am fully aware of how to submit disputes directly. The issue here is Equifaxs pattern of non-compliance, and thats what this BBB complaint is addressing.

Despite multiple formal disputes submitted through ******** official channels, including mailed disputes with full documentation, Equifax continues to verify inaccurate or incomplete information without proper investigation, which is a direct violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Section 611.

      Additionally, Equifax has:
Failed to provide method of verification upon request.
              Ignored evidence provided in disputes.
Repeatedly marked items as updated without correcting or deleting false information.

This complaint is not just about a dispute its about Equifaxs failure to follow federal law and proper procedures, and its continued refusal to comply even when challenged through formal and regulatory channels.

I am requesting the BBB continue this complaint due to Equifaxs willful non-compliance, and that Equifax be held accountable for their failure to investigate and respond as required by law. I am also submitting complaints with the **** and *** regarding these ongoing violations.

I recently reviewed my credit report and found several derogatory collection accounts that I do not recognize and never authorized. After further investigation, I identified the following accounts reporting inaccurately:Portfolio ******************* (Account #************ / Original Creditor: Synchrony Bank)**Portfolio Recovery Associates (Account #************ / Original Creditor: ************* Delaware)**Midland Credit Management (Account #******* / Original Creditor: Credit ******** N.A.)**These accounts are being reported as Collection/Chargeoff with balances ranging from $1,677 to $2,277. I have no knowledge or affiliation with these accounts, nor did I authorize or initiate any transactions related to them.I have already completed and submitted an FTC Identity Theft Report, in which I formally declared these accounts as fraudulent. These accounts were opened without my knowledge or consent and are the result of identity theft.Despite initiating disputes and providing evidence, the information continues to be reported as valid. This is damaging my credit and causing unnecessary stress and harm.I am requesting that the respective companies involved cease all collection activity and reporting to the credit bureaus, and permanently delete these fraudulent accounts from my ********************** report. This situation is urgent and legally protected under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Identity Theft enforcement laws. Please resolve this immediately.

I am demanding that you confirm that each data point reported under my name is accurate, verifiable, and truly mine. If theres even a shred of uncertainty, or if you cannot produce the necessary records to validate this account as mine, it does not belong on my credit report and keeping it there would be a violation of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).Please consider this a formal dispute. I am requesting:1. Full certification and documentation that every detail of this account belongs to me,2. Or, if full verification is not possible, complete deletion of the account from my ********************** file,3. Written confirmation of your findings and action taken,4. A copy of my updated credit report once the correction or deletion has been completed. This is not optional this is my legal right to accurate reporting. I expect you to handle this matter seriously and without delay.
