Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Experian regarding their lack of follow-up associated with an inquiry on my credit report. I initiated the inquiry with Experian in order to address the presence of late payments from the company Navient, for the years 2022 (Aug, Sept Oct) and 2019 (May June and July, Aug). I requested that Experian remove these late charges as I was not aware of them, and I am seeking your assistance in getting these late charges removed from my credit report. On 6/22/2023, I contacted Experian and provided them with the necessary information to investigate the late payments on my credit report. I explained that I had no knowledge or recollection of these late payments and expressed my concerns about their negative impact on my credit score. I was assured that Experian would follow up on my inquiry and provide a resolution within 30 days.As a consumer, I believe it is my right to receive prompt and thorough assistance when disputing any discrepancies on my credit report. Experian, being one of the major credit bureaus, should adhere to industry standards and guidelines when handling customer inquiries. Unfortunately, their failure to address my concerns has led me to bring this matter to your attention.I kindly request that the Better Business Bureau intervene and help facilitate a resolution between myself and Experian. Specifically, I would appreciate it if you could assist in ensuring that Experian follows up on my inquiry, investigates the late payments by Navient, and promptly removes them from my credit report if they are deemed inaccurate. Additionally, I would like to receive a detailed explanation from Experian regarding the delay in their response and any actions they will take to rectify their customer service shortcomings.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will act as an impartial third party to help resolve this dispute,

      July 11, 2023

Experian has repeatedly denied my consumer rights by not deleting old, safe addresses and connecting them with my current living address.
This opens me to more scams and fraud and denies me my consumer rights according to the law and according to the ****!

Even though this causes me stress and leaves me unsafe and open to predators and scams because they will not delete the old addresses!

I have not been connected to those addresses for years. I feel that Experian has taken advantage of their privilege to report correct information and continues to report in inaccurate and old outdated unverified information and that is a fact. I feel denied of my basic human rights I feel that Experian is in violation of the **** and the updated consumer reporting rights from two years ago.

I still want the old Cliffview address deleted from *************** ******** and the old Oakwood Drive address deleted  it from ********* ******** immediately.

By federal law, consumers personal credit report must list all organizations that have requested the consumers credit history.  In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), entities who have certified to Experian that they have a permissible purpose may inquire about credit information. For example, organizations that have granted the consumer credit or with whom the consumer has applied for credit, or entities collecting on transactions that the consumer initiated or on judgments rendered against the consumer, are permitted to make inquiries on the consumers credit report. Requests for the consumers credit history remain on the personal credit report for at least two years.
